I'm going to be a little harsh. For me, a lot of wasted potential. First of all, what was the reason for Neo to leave? He says he doesn't remember, then he says that he was afraid, then apologies but not really. The subject is never REALLY talked about between characters, he was a dickhead and that's that? Second, for me, it was weird not mentioning the age gap, Carter was 19 when they met, right? Why not mentioning that, why not saying that him being young and immature could have been of the reasons Neo left? Third, Carter the hothead was the pack alpha? Which pack? That is barely mentioned in the book, it makes no sense. There were many more thing that I didn't like, but to finish this I would say that I definitely felt no love between the characters. Lust? For sure. Love? I would have liked to see that more clearly.
Read it Twice or More Addictive Characters Crossfire hot, tall dark handsome reclusive vampire & a smoking hot werewolf. It gets better, already read this story twice. Neo is a supernatural detective brought in to investigate a series of human murders. The main suspect the man he left 10 years ago Carter. Is it possible bad boy Carter that loves his family and town has gone beyond bad? Is there a mystery at foot? What will Neo do when he has to face not only Carter but the reason he left 10 years ago? I hope I have you ready to jump in with me
This is a 4/5 for. I enjoyed reading this book. It is about Carter, a wolf shifter, and Neo, a vampire. Neo works for a paranormal police agency and has go back to Seattle to help with a case. Carter is at the center of the case as that he is connected to two of the victims. Carter and Neo used to be a couple before Neo walked out of Carter’s life without a word. So of course Carter is not excited to see Neo and grudgingly accepts his help. But the heat between these two is high. Carter is Waiting for Neo to finish the case and leave. Or will he?
I'm only going with two stars versus one because I had to quit at about thirty percent. The characters aren't very interesting, and they aren't likeable, so there's just no interest in continuing. Additionally, the writing is just ... off, sometimes it's okay, but then there are entire passages that are bad to awful. In the end it wasn't worth my time.
Spicy MM 🥵 with wolf shifters 😍 and vampires 🫠. I absolutely adore this book. Wolf shifters may or may not be my first spicy book love 😂 and I was so much more enthralled adding some 🧛♂️ to the mix. I loved the characters. The story. And of course, the spice.
I really love vampire stories and this one caught my eye whilst browsing, I can say that I did enjoy as it was a bit different from other vampire stories that I have read. On the whole a good read.
