This came out of the free box at McKay, and it may go right back there too. The stories are okay if floridly presented, but they're tales you've mostly heard before. That in itself wouldn't be so bad, but it's the inclusion of a rabidly anti-Rachel Carson piece (minor kudos to the editor, clearly credited to the Monsanto Chemical Company) that sinks the volume completely. Niven and Pournelle would've been pleased but I certainly was not.
