Great Tool For Beginner Writers

If you’re looking for a great book to help you begin writing (at the beginning stages of your writing) this book is a great tool to use to gain knowledge of the ins and outs of writing. The author goes over books that have been written to give examples of what to do and not to do in different genres. Excellent tool to have when starting your first book or your third book per say. You could also refer back to the great references you’d made from your first pass in this book. A keeper for sure and a future reference guide for future use. Good job.

Detailed.

Great examples and quotes are used to help the story carry over.

The content within is solid and is sure to help beginner fiction writers on their journey to fulfill their ambition. This book would be beneficial for intermediate writers as well.

I do think the book cover is lacking and could have been improved. Also, the author's name is strange.

Nonetheless, the information within this text is good, and the tips within can prove valuable for beginner and intermediate writers.

Fantastic short book filled with practical insights for authors.

I am attempting to write non-fiction books. Albeit with some narrative and occasional story. My main challenge is feeling confident I have structured things well. In other words… imposter syndrome.

What I liked most about this book was it just walked through all the major frameworks, techniques and gave direct examples. It didn’t talk about the granular level of prose but did just about everything else… in 140 pages!

Loved the advice. Now let’s see if I can put it to use!

This bow to stern overview is an excellent place to see how the pieces come together. Good starting point

This reference gives a lot of good information and advice on how to start writing, but also covers such important topics as writers block, how to take criticism, etc.
I liked references and quotes from various authors, it made the material more relevant.
Being an author myself, I found the book lacking a depth just a bit, but for those who only plan to start their journey, it is definitely a good read.

I love the book; it's easy to follow and presents information step by step, almost like reading a story. It truly inspires beginners to move forward and start writing!

However, there is one small issue—the author offers a "Free Gift" and includes a link that doesn't work. This is not good business practice. After all, the gift was promised because I purchased the book, and I fulfilled my part of the agreement, BELLEVER!

How will you uphold your end of the bargain?

Confidence booster

This book has some great tips. Some were not new to me because I’ve read quite a few like this. But this time, I felt confident. I can finally go back and read and edit a book I started writing a few years ago, confident in the knowledge that it’s okay if it sucks. I have the tools to fix it.

I really enjoyed the first part of this - marked up a bunch of stuff that I felt resonated with me. It helped inspire me to start writing again. The last half wasn't nearly as insightful for me, maybe because I felt too detatched from those steps in writing? I dont know, but I couldnt wait until the end of the book. I also thought the prompts weren't as helpful as I was hoping they would be.

This is a complete walk through what all new authors need to know.
From writers block to outlines, it’s all here. I especially found the chapter on show don’t tell to be particularly good.
Covering where to write, what to write, and how to write.
Very useful book for beginner authors.
