The Nemesis Dungeon has risen at last...Keith finds himself at the center of a new quest involving the legendary Nemesis Dungeon, one that will challenge not only his skills as a monster hunter but as a tactician and leader. With limited time and other clans competing for the ultimate prize at the dungeon’s end, Keith and his team will need to move quickly. The hunt for the Greathammer garners attention from outside the Six Clans, meaning that Keith will have more than monsters and hobgoblins to deal with. Worse, several of his enemies have tracked him down. It’s a race against time. It’s a good thing Keith performs well under pressure…We Hunt Monsters is a LitRPG series in a fantasy world. This book contains multiple stat sheets, item descriptions, epic quests and loads of monsters.
This whole book being a dungeon dive was a bit boring given everything that is going on. The direction of the quests give the whole thing major plot armor vibes. All in all, this seems like something put out very fast without any concern to the overall storyline. A placeholder and nothing more.
If hyper focus had a face, it would be this guy's, but you'd never know what he looks like
I keep hammering through this series despite its flaws, so it's gotta have something going for it. I can assure you that proofreading and copyediting are not it. Neither is poetic language. Or jokes. Or characterization. There is only one thing about this series that sets it apart: a hyper focus on fights.
If your favorite part of playing an MMO is grinding the next boss, this series is for you. If you ever wished that a book series could somehow have even less emotional depth than than a 20-man Warcraft raid, you're going to love this.
For the rest of you, go reread He Who Fights With Monsters, the series this is a low-toner photocopy of, and the one you were probably looking for when kindle search suggested this.
Oh, wait, you were looking for a book where a bunch of charisma-less characters humorlessly fat shame a monkey? Because yep, you're in the right place for that.
A fun installment to the series, slightly marred by the continued cuss word alternatives and mildly annoying side kick. Also the “all the ladies fall in love with the MC” thing is a little overdone. But Keith definitely kicked butt and took name, and he gets some really cool new abilities and gear in this one. Also some interesting new plot threads pop up. We still have a world monster to kill in the next book, a guild to officially start on Beastland, and some awesome items that we didn’t get to see before the book cruelly ended. All in all a decent ride! And I’ll repeat from earlier reviews, thank Heaven that Keith is finally rich enough that he isn’t penny pinching every darn coin.
The goods: Lot of action. Character developments (like Bonker and Jade). More skills, more power, slowly becoming more OP.
The 'bad': The whole book was effectively about the dungeon, which could be too much sometimes. At least we didn't see all 10 levels in detail due to the skip, so it made it much more bearable than the treasure hunt of Primal Hunter 5.
This book stuck to the strength of the series, making it yet another entertaining and fun read. Eager to read the next one. That is hopefully about taking on the next world monster, since Book 3 was about Humania's world boss.
Also, as of writing the the book does not come up in the list of the series; there it only shows 4 books, which is kinda weird.
The flaws? A couple major screw ups probably due to cut and pasting written events into new chronological order without rereading the result to ensure logical progression of character sheet etc. The monster naming has become annoying as it's bad juvenile puns that were never funny or adding originality. Pretty much the same for monster design ...worst of bizarre anime ( art=chaos thinking).
I am also curious how the author handles how OP the main character has become. Usually other authors succumb to inflation-devaluing cycles where for instance common NPC peasants can walk on the sun or replacing old stats with new BIG STAT points where 1000 old=1 new
Quick read but his writing mistakes have greatly increased
This book was fun and an easy/quick read. However, the mistakes in this book are glaringly noticeable compared to his other books. I still have no idea if his new skill is called Snowflake like it first mentioned or Snowflare as it started to be called; that type of error just upsets me as a reader because it shows the author didn't bother to check his own work or care how a mistake like this affects the reader's experience.
Bob still reigns Supreme in his goal for world domination! Keith keeps growing at a tremendous rate! A fun twist in the middle that allowed this book to finish the way it did!
Well, Keith remains the same loveable jerk and efficient killer. The book was fun to read and I went through it in a day. I do think it wouldn’t hurt for Keith to show a bit of positive emotion every now and then, but I appreciate the cold logical MC angle as well.
As Keith builds his new team of sorts, he is increasingly forced into battles that he is not prepared for, dungeons are fun! Another few close shaves with death and a serious injury have things looking grim right when they should be looking up. But he just may get lucky with a reward if he can manage to complete the Spirit of War’s request.
I absolutely enjoyed reading this book, and I would recommend this series for anyone over 16 or 17. I think that this might be my favorite book in the series to date. Keel up the great work, Aaron.
By far the most action oriented of all the books. Great read unfortunately read it too quickly. Looking forward to the rest of the books. Good steady MC progression as well.
This was the best one so far! I recommend starting with the first book. This series is interesting and funny I think you wil all love reading them. I can’t wait for the. Ext one and I appreciate that this one was longer!
I'm starting to like this series more and more with each addition of new book. Though I do wish that death of known characters kept to min. Overall it was a great book and I can't wait for the next one to be released.
I was going to finish 4 then move on to a new series before coming back to 5. After finishing 5 I now regret not having anything to read with Keith and Bob in it. Hurry up Aaron and write another one haha.
A worthwhile entry and a lawn and exhaust Of end result of a multiple Isekai protagonist. All the hundreds of years of traveling from other worlds is able to bring one skill with him this time his tactical mind...that eventually gained a mind of it's own....
Another great entry in the series. If you enjoyed the previous books, you'll love this one. Characters contribute to develops and the MC gets up to more chaos. Absolutely loved the pace of the storytelling. Looking forward to the next in the series.
This book expands the story to keep up the interest and excitement! New characters, new areas and lots of action keep the book exciting and a great read!
