FROM MILLION COPY BESTSELLER MATT ROGERS COMES THE THIRD BLOCKBUSTER IN THE DANTE SAGA Getting rich and unintentionally famous has its downsides. In Dante Jacoby's case, it's the beginning of a nightmare. After returning to San Francisco, a sorry-looking bank account forces him to take the plunge into entrepreneurship to fund his vigilantism. Thanks to wicked intelligence and a sickening work ethic, his novel spin on a nightlife venue takes off, and before he knows it, he’s an overnight success story. When online investigative sleuths pounce on paparazzi photos, Dante is publicly identified as the heir of the disgraced Jacoby crime family. Forced to release a statement denouncing his parents, he knows there will be far-reaching consequences as his anonymity is shattered. He thinks he’s braced for the worst, but he isn’t. A powerful figure makes contact, from a side of the world he wasn’t even sure existed.

This series rivals his Slater and King series in the best ways possible! The growth of Dante as a special person continues as he forges his way forward both as a business entrepreneur and a decent and successful individual. But, the task of staying alive and keeping those he cares about safe and alive as well - and keeping them unaware of the many dark and dangerous facets of his past - are complicated by his struggles to right the wrongs done by his parents and their associates, and threatens to derail all he is working toward. But, giving up and defeat are no longer words in his new life. Hang on and get prepared for a wild ride! Sincerely hope the next book in the series is coming very soon!
Would have given this six stars if it were an option!
It took me a few books to get past the vocabulary and spelling differences, but once I did I've read practically ever fiction book Rogers has written. I really enjoy his characters Nd how they develop. The plots are great and this one is no exception. Rogers again brings a character or two out of the past and leaves the door open to bring them back again. It makes it a bit harder to follow some books if picking up the series in the middle, but its worth going back to the beginning!
This is massively different to the previous books, with Dante trying to set himself up as an entrepreneur Unfortunately for him a government agency needs him to sort out a problem they have with an Operative of theirs and it all goes down hill from there Slow to start with, but it's setting the scene and then slowly builds to the violent conclusion Couple of instances you think that's cleverly done and towards the end you start thinking this is the next "King & Slater" series and it still might be
I think you should make this a series with Dante and Sam meeting at intervals and keeping their work the same. It was a good book and would like to see more like it. Keep women out of a good assassin book defeats their purpose when it is high action which is what I want to read.
Wow! What’s wild ride! This third installment is fast paced, packed with action and one of the best stories yet! Dante is on a mission to make a life on his own but is quickly side tracked by his past. Old characters and new fill this story with the unforgettable saga of our new favorite hero Dante Jacoby. You won’t put it down.
This book was pretty well done. Could have been much longer given all the interesting characters. I enjoy this series. I like Dante but am shocked at his calm. He may need to get more emotional in the future to be a little more appealing. I get the Zen nature, but something has to rattle him and bring out the worst in him before bringing out a new best.
Dark mirror, what a read! Right from the hit go it grabs one’s attention and does so until the end! Action, every page flipped has it in spades. A little romance, a lot of devious directions and an unbelievable ending but with the knowledge that there’s more to come. Loved it! Matt Rogers knows how to pen his books.
Matt Rogers does it again. Dante Jacoby is an interesting, introspective character, exploring his life and trying to be the best he can. It was an interesting premise adding Sam, his dark mirror image, but it helps to emphasise the changes that have happened to Dante, and what he is trying to achieve. His bar idea sounds awesome.
Loving this writing isn’t saying enough….You are for sure my new best friend.. In all of my eighty five years of life and reading every genre of writing, I say to you young man , you’re good and you can rest on your Laurels… I so appreciate the fact that there are writers like you in this world who still loves the written word.. Thanks from a satisfied reader……
Dark Mirror by Matt Rogers is the third in this series. Well written with exciting characters it runs along with twisting and turning. A real page turner ! I loved every word!
The most fascinating character I’ve read about in years…not your typical superhero who can do no wrong, but a human who uses all he’s endowed with to not only better himself, but all he meets. What a thrill ride!
