Book 📚: Dirty Danglers, Book two in Puck head series
Rating: 4 ⭐️
Sterling Bexley doesn’t need a man to make her happy. As a sport photographer, she travels the world on the dime of whatever team she’s working for that day, but when she lands her dream job with the Boston Yellow Jackets, things get complicated and so does her relationship status.
Jaiden Thomas is left winger for the BYJ’s and everything Sterling hates in a man: sarcastic, rude, a heartbreaker… But he’s also tall, sexy and has a wicked tongue. And yes, she unfortunately knows that from experience. To make matters more difficult, her best friend is engaged to one of his best friends, so he’s inescapable. Family dinners are awkward as hell when it feels like you’re sitting across from the opposite of family.
Avoiding each other seems near impossible, especially when they’re forced to spend the entire summer together when the friends decide to go on vacation.
So instead of facing her feelings, Sterling pretends to date one of Jaiden’s best friends to avoid showing up to the summer vacation single and alone.
After all, Sterling Bexley likes to play dirty.
Review: This was advertised as a stand alone but I HIGHLY recommend reading the first book before this one. In the beginning I was slightly confused with the dynamic between Sterling and Jaiden but as time went on I was able to fill in the blanks. This is a very fast read, I read it in a day. It gives you some of the best tropes, friends to enemies to lovers, hockey romance, praise kink. I really loved the dissection of both Jaiden and Sterlings personal lives and why they acted the way they did. I enjoy that this was a found family, everyone looked out for everyone. It’s a good romance read especially if you’re looking for something quick with a lot of spice. 🌶️
