Believing It To Be

Rate this book
As much as Nickie and Kate believe it to be, can their heated connection in this age-gap romance be irretrievably broken because of outside influences?

It’s been three months since Nickie received the call from Kate’s agent, the call that broke her heart. Nickie watches Kate on the TV and sees her holding hands with fellow actress Kimberly Carson as they walk down the red carpet. Numb to the sight of them, Nickie decides to try online dating. Will this help to erase the tantalizing actress from her memory?

Kate is struggling to wipe her lake love, Nickie, from her memory so easily. Can the two sort through the sabotage from Kate’s manager to uncover the truth of what happened with the missed phone calls? Will life bring the two lovers full circle back to the lake, where they first found refuge in the simplicity of life and love?

The tiniest bite that Nickie has taken from the delicious-sounding life of a celebrity has turned out to be quite disgusting to eat, after all. As Nickie is thrown into the spotlight, navigating the ugly side of celebrity life is more than she is prepared to handle. Nickie’s first-hand experience with rabid fans gives her even more compassion for what life is like for actress Kate Bellina.

You will find heat, genuine friendships, a little celebrity drama and wedding bells signifying a guaranteed HEA.

A lovely conclusion to the Lake Love duology. After ups and downs and devious manipulation Kate and Nickie have their sweet HEA and Melissa gets her deserved comeuppance.
Good job Lauren - a feel good story with a lush lake setting.

Second part of a two part story and much more enjoyable than the first. Sweet, funny and romantic throughout, with a lovely HEA.
I feel the duology would have been better as just one book, but regardless, my TBR list just got even longer thanks to Lauren Hart.

I was surprised the previous book ended without a happy ever after. Hopefully this will be the complete story.
I enjoyed the start much more than the first book. The writing was descriptive so I could see the scenes, but not overwhelming in detail. However, the mains haven’t actually really interacted yet so I don’t know if I have got over my apathy.
None of the issues I felt from the first book are in this. The interactions between one main and best friend were fine. The use of endearments instead of names wasn’t done to the extent I thought one main didn’t know the others name.
It is not a stand alone but for me stands much taller than the first book, which was a 2.5 (partly because of the ending). This is a comfortable 3 stars.

Believing it to Be

This was a continuation of the first book by Lauren Hart. I enjoyed the fast-paced romance. The chemistry was good, it was low angst. I loved getting to know the characters better.

An easy, enjoyable novel

Lauren Hart’s follow-up to the first book in the Lake Love series, Dreaming It To Be, is another sexy and sweet look at the romance between supremely popular movie actress Kate Bellina and the younger Nickie Steele, a hardworking hospital physical therapist.

The two must first navigate the choppy waters churned up at the end of Book 1 and then find their way through the rough wake created by Kate’s celebrity.

But these are two women you’ll appreciate reading about, even if Hart doesn’t dive deeply into their backstories.

Upping the novel’s entertainment value again are Nickie’s irrepressible BFF Naomi and her amiable boyfriend Andrew, along with the new characters of Nik’s “swipe right” interest Kenna, Kate’s co-star Wyn, and friends Tracey, and Amelia.

I think this is one of those rare stories that you don't find any negative thing to say about. I was extremely satisfied with this sequel and i believe it was a perfect way to conclude this awesome story. Kate and Nickie emerge from a dark spot, where they were all heart broken by the meddling of Kate's agent. I felt very emotion, the anger the hurt and the love between these two lovebirds. We also get introduced to new characters that are also very lovable. I absolutely enjoyed this book and i hated that it wasn't longer 🙂....it is a perfectly written book. You have to read it to understand this.
I totally recommend this book.

Believing It To Be is the second and final book is the series. I really liked this story. It gave Quinn and Kate a nice happy ending. You really need to read the first book.
This book picks up 3 months after Dreaming It To Be ended. Kate is back in the city after filming her movie and Quinn has finally decided to start dating again. It doesn't take long for Kate and Quinn to figure out what happened at the end of the first book. They spend the rest of the book dealing with the damage from that and figuring out their relationship.
This book has some angst but mostly it's a feel good easy read.
I received an arc for my honest review

This is the continuation of the book " Dreaming it to be", it completes the romance between a physical therapist and a world famous actress, it has age gap, rich girl, poor girl, friends to lovers and plenty of heartwarming moments. I love the smooth story telling, the vivid and very loveable characters and the mature love between the MCs. It is a great joy to read the two beautiful women from very different background falling in love overcoming huge barriers and fight and win their much deserved happy ending. This is the fifth books I have read from the author and I often wonder why she hasn't became more popular, because she really belongs to the best group of elite romance writers.

A well-crafted sequel to Dreaming It to Be, Kate and Nicole finally realize that they are meant to be together. These characters are so warm and inviting and the secondary characters are just terrific, especially Naomi, Nickie's best friend. She adds so much hilarity and eye rolling, not to mention unconditional love and support. The author paints beautiful pictures with her lovely descriptions of the idyllic lake surroundings. Reading these two books is like taking a vacation which I highly recommend!

Sweet

Although I enjoyed both books in this series so far, there was a little lack of depth from the hints about their families etc, I do love a Hollywood romance and enjoyed the friend connections between both main characters. The romance was really sweet and sexy, there's quite a few loose end here so perhaps there's more to come. A well written romance in a great setting well worth reading.

Second Chance

Nikki and Kate discover that Kate’s manager had sabotaged their relationship by lying to each of them about the other’s actions. However, Kate is in a fake relationship with her costar, Wyn, to promote the movie. Will they be able and survive the next months with the world’s eyes on them? A sapphic romance. Great series.

I've been anxiously waiting for this book and to get to visit Kate and Nickie again. As usual I was not disappointed. Sweet and funny with just enough heat. You won't be disappointed.                            I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Finally

A great final installment to this series. It was worth the wait. Lives are complicated when intertwined. It takes a certain amount of trust that things will happen the way it’s suppose to. Trust that love that is meant to be, will find it’s way to you in a HEA.

Thank crunchie it all worked out in the end. After the sucker punch at it end of the first book, Dreaming It To Be, I eagerly awaited book two and was not disappointed. Kate and Nickie needed to talk and eventually they did, even though the road ahead was a little rocky.

Just As I Suspected!

This was a lovely, delightful conclusion to Kate and Nikki’s story. I quite enjoyed both books, and the story made sense to me, except for some of Kate’s reactions to Nikki’s later in the book.

Disappointed....

Ok, expected to much in book 2. Even the ending had no flare to it. After everything, mc's unjust stressful behavior, no epic scenes, this story ended in a dud.

First book ended in a cliffhanger. The romance was rushed. Honestly thats all I can say. Would of been better as one book combined? Without the instalove.

Dreams do come true

My heart was breaking for Nickie & Kate when the story started. It is sad what they had to go through all because Kate is a celebrity. They realized they are stronger together and that's what is important. I love them and all the supporting characters.

A beautiful end to the story…

First, this is the second part in a two part story. It can be read alone, but you will get so much more by reading Dreaming It To Be first.
Although this is written in third person, it is seen totally from the perspective of Nickie, and set just after the breakup from Kate at the end of the last book.
We hear Nickie’s insecurities, her pain about the breakup, and her anger, especially about the way the breakup happened, and towards the person who orchestrated it. But also we hear the depth of her love for Kate, even through the pain. There is not much of the nature-based writing of the first book set at the lake, but there is much more of the intrusive paparazzi and the soul-searching.
It all ends in the most beautiful scene, a small tear-jerker of happiness.
Very well written with lots of thoughtful descriptions, of places, of people, and of emotions. This happy-ever-after ending makes the whole thing into a very feel good story.
As with the first book, most certainly worth reading.
