A Dark Slasher Romance

SAGE
Everything changed on my twenty-second
birthday. I thought it couldn't get any worse.
My friends and I are being hunted. Stalked.
Taunted. Tormented by the unknown
stranger. None of us are safe.
Who is the
killer behind the mask?
I am addicted to the fear, to him.

HIM
It wasn't supposed to go like this.
I was set on revenge, to reveal their
secrets and lies. But, I saw something in her,
her fear is intoxicating.
I will rip her apart and put her
back together again,
piece by piece,
until she is beautifully twisted
and the true version of herself.
I will blur the lines between good and evil.
I will make her mine.

Wow, what a debut novel @t.d_craft_author!

The more I read, the more I was hooked with this book. I was feeling the ‘I know what you did last summer’ vibes. Callum/Him … I love him🖤

The more the book went on, I really felt for Sage and her crappy friends.

What a cliffhanger though, please tell me I haven’t got to wait long for book two?!

Slasher Romance

This book was giving me I Know What You Did Last Summer vibes at first. The group does something they shouldn’t have and covered it up. But it comes back to haunt them in a big way.

I especially love that the villain “gets l the girl. And that it’s not really an HEA. But more of a tragic ending.

Hot Damn. This book is basically Sage and her friends getting hunted. The suspense from the hunt which turned obesession was amazing and the spice was spicing. This was dark, so dark read trigger waring. The text, the warning and the threats from him/Callum was hot. I love sage and Callum. It ended in a cliffhanger, I can't wait to read the next book. This a short, dark and spicy read. I loved this although it felt rushed it was still lowkey slow burn. I like that Sage knew he was murder who wanted to kill her but still having that toxic connection to/with him. 🥵

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

This book was giving scream. Lawdd I loved the suspense. I was hooked and read it so fast 💨 🌚. I can’t wait to see what the author does with book two and read how the story continues.

FYI Callum try to kill both her and her friend but definitely didn’t stop her from masturb*ting or c*ming for him. This book was hot and toxic 🥰.

**I changed my rating to 4 stars because I can't stop thinking about this book lmao. It lives rent free in my head.😂 I've recommended it atleast 5 times today on Facebook groups.

To start, I love all things spooky. This was a dark slasher romance, and it reminded me of "I Know What You Did Last Summer" & "Scream". I actually pictured *him* as Skeet Ulrich😂

I almost gave up on this pretty quickly because I felt no dimension in this story. The characters were kinda... bland. Then, we meet the villain, & he makes this book worth it. The grammar could have been better, but it wasn't terrible.
The plot definitely thickened, and we're left with a cliffhanger😭. I need to know what happens next.

”To all the slasher girlies who think the killers are hot…I got you! And to the girlies who struggle sometimes, Remember, you are the ‘Final Girl’ in your story. You will survive in the end” author’s note 🖤🖤🖤

I grew up loving 90’s slasher movies and this book definitely brought those vibes! I enjoyed this dark, suspenseful and super spicy ride and I’m excited to see where the rest of the story goes.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️.5

-I saw an aesthetic video on this book and immediately downloaded it on KU. I really liked the premise of the story. A tragic event occurs to this group of friends. Then they are being taunted and picked off my a murderer who is seeking revenge, but add romance. The plot was interesting enough and I did finish. I unfortunately did not really enjoy the characters or romance. The pacing was very fast and for me personally I didn’t understand how quickly Sage gave in so quickly. There was no build up or tension.

-I really loved the idea of this story, I just wasn’t able to form a connection with any of the characters. I didn’t hate it by any means, it was just ok. I am a firm believer that you should find out yourself if a book is for you. (Of course not if there is sensitive subjects or triggers that are not for you). Because you may just love this book!

DNF 30%…save yourself the trouble and just don’t. I was excited for this book from the reviews I saw but I’m convinced they had to be reading a different book. The writing was extremely choppy and the story jumped around. It’s a sad attempt to be like Slashers and Secrets.

So before I start here's some house keeping, please check the triggers before you read this. It's very much a slasher and goes into some gorey details around this as well as some blood and knife play.

Firstly I'd like to start off by saying it has a playlist! I love a book which has a playlist to listen to whilst reading. The songs were very well selected and added tone and atmosphere to the scenes. Personally I listened to "I'm yours" on repeat when Sage and 'Him' got intimate and I loved it!

The story is told through a few POVs, Sage, Him and then another character later when they get introduced. I loved this, not only do we get different scenes that happen but we get the inner thoughts of each character and how they're perceiving the events that are happening.

Whilst reading I defo got a little hint of Pretty Little Lairs vibes, there're a lot of secrets as well as a murder and the group which the story centers on is very tight. Then when you add in an unknown number messaging the group I just gave me that PLL vibes. It's also very much inspired by 90's slashers which made me feel right at home as a lover of all things horror. With that being said, Sage the FMC also loves all things horror and I found her to be a great character that I just vibed with.

Now moving on to the MMC, Him, he is your perfect mix of everything a girl wants when they love morally grey men and serial killers. To name a few, he kills for her, he literally hates/dislikes everyone but her, he starts to gain an obsession over her, he longs for her and also finds his peace when his with her. Honestly just swoon worthy!

Scenes when the FMC and MMC are together there is just so much chemistry and tension between them, it's just hot! When spicy scenes happen I found myself lost in the moment as Craft is able to create so much tensions, chemistry and real imagery that it felt like I was there with them.

I must admit when reading you have the mystery of who the killer is and when I found out I was shouting across the room at my husband who really didn't have a clue what was happening. But I was just so into the story that when it was uncovered I was excited but kinda surprised (as I kinda guessed who I thought the killer was).

Lastly the ending! A real big plot point and character development happens for Sage right at the end alongside a Cliff hanger! To say I am frustrated about this is an understatement! I need to know what happens, like right now! So I highly anticipate the next book!

I would definitely recommend this if you're after a slasher, a revenge plot with romance and spice on the sidelines. There is so much mystery and lies to uncover and I was hooked from around chapter 2/3. I literally read this within 24 hours and that's quick for me, as I'm very slow at reading. Just an amazing debut book, really looking forward to the rest of the series.

A good quick little slasher romance 🔪🧡🩸

“𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙨𝙝𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙. 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 𝙘𝙧𝙖𝙯𝙮.”

I enjoyed it I was living for how possessive he was of her, I’ll admit things changed from him wanting revenge to falling for her in a hot minute but the nickname “little fox” was giving me all the good feels.

“𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙧𝙪𝙣 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩, 𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙭, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙖𝙣’𝙩 𝙝𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙢𝙚.”

I knew the truth. There may have been a split second of doubt. But I knew. Which left me craving to see how it all played out. It’s like I might how known I’d eating, but I had NO idea what I was gonna be getting served and I love it when a book gives me that.

“𝙑𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨, 𝙨𝙤 𝙘𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚, 𝙄 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙩𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚 𝙞𝙩.”

He was unpredictable at times, and his words 😮‍💨 well they’re the kind that shock you and make you melt at the same time even if you feel like they shouldn’t; the dangerous kind of possessive where in a different kind of romance it’d be a joke, or a threat, whereas in this one…. It’s a promise, just waiting to be read in the next chapter.

“𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙛•𝙘𝙠 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙚𝙨.”

And then that cliffhanger! OMG. A betrayal and so much more… did someone say it’s time to choose? You’ll have to excuse the mess of this review cause, I need to immediately jump into the next book, LIKE NOW 😱😱

“ 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙡 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙙𝙧𝙤𝙥, 𝙎𝙖𝙜𝙚.”

I’ve been eyeballing this book since BEFORE it released, and I’m so excited I finally had the time to read it! 🥰 The tropes were like a grocery list, so let’s talk about it. 😉

*Partial blurb*
Everything changed on my twenty-second birthday. I thought it couldn't get any worse. My friends and I are being hunted. Stalked. Taunted. Tormented by the unknown stranger. None of us are safe. Who is the killer behind the mask? I am addicted to the fear, to him.

This was a nice quick read for me. Or well “nice” I should say. 😂 This is a suspenseful, psychological thriller, dark romance with slash3r vibes! I loved Sage, she reminded me of the girl I always wanted to be in high school. The author did so well with imagery that I had no issues picturing any of the characters in my mind. Callum was 🔥🔥🔥! I loved his character the most! But we all know I’m a sucker for a st@lker/🥣 unaliver. 😉 This ended on a cliff hanger and I’m super frustrated with it. 😂 Like I need to know what happens.. 😬 I can’t even say why I’m frustrated because I don’t want to spoil it. 🫣 I loved the thriller aspect in this and really enjoyed trying to figure out the mystery myself!

Looking for an emotionally charged book that will keep you at the edge of your seat? Look no further than "Bleed For Me: A BloodLust Novel." The author's captivating writing style will grip you from the very beginning, making it difficult to put the book down. The characters are intricately developed, with their complexities drawing you into their story (and souls).
While the mature themes present in this book - such as foul language, criminal activity, blood/gore, murder, sexually explicit scenes, dub/non-con, and various kinks - may make some readers uncomfortable, they are portrayed in a realistic manner, adding depth and complexity to the plot.
The chilling scenes, combined with well-executed plot twists, will keep you guessing until the very end. This is not a book for the faint of heart, but for those willing to take the plunge, the reward is a dark and satisfying read.
Overall, "Bleed For Me: A BloodLust Novel - Book 1" is a phenomenal start to a promising series. The dark, gritty, and well-written book will appeal to fans of suspense, horror, and dark romance. If you're a fan of slasher stories, then this book comes highly recommended. However, as a word of caution, the mature themes and triggers present in this book should be considered before diving in.

All of my 90’s slasher movies came to mind reading this. Scream (the original), and I Know What You Did Last Summer. Along with some twists and turns… and a freaking cliffhanger! 😭😭

I liked the dual POV aspect. There was a lot of internal dialogue between both POV’s, which I enjoyed the mind of “him”. He was a little psycho… but in a protective way. “Baby, this is how villains are made. When lines are blurred and faded between good and evil… we are both.” When I close my eyes… I see a heavily tattooed Skeet Ulrich. 🥵🥵

I can’t wait to see what book 2 brings… more secrets, lies, and twists…

good

I really enjoyed this book, there are some tweaks that I feel could have been done before the book was released but for a debut novel all the good parts are there.

I love a good slasher, and this had such a promising idea, with some tweaks and maybe another round of edits I would have rated it higher.

Looking forward to the next instalment

Masked Killer falls for his Prey... Um yes please!!
This book is has me in a straight chokehold!!

"𝘐𝘧 𝘦𝘺𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘭, 𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘧 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘶𝘳𝘬𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘮𝘪𝘹-𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘦𝘺𝘦𝘴? 𝘊𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘐 𝘩𝘪𝘥𝘦, 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧?"

This Dark Slasher/ Suspense Romance has you on the edge from start to finish. I loved everything about this story!!

It night one Sage's 22nd birthday will change everything for her and her friends as they know it. When events unfold, every one of them had blood on their hands, but sage has a taste for the darkness that soon will envelop her. Watching her fight with who she truly is to when she finally accepts herself is a fun ride!

A masked man comes to town to seek revenge on the consequences of that night, and little did he know that he would see the eyes of his Equal. His Little Fox.

"𝘔𝘺 𝘬𝘯𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘨𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵, 𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘦𝘺𝘦𝘴. 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘵, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦’𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘳. 𝘚𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘵𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴"

Betrayal and lies will come to head and be exposed for what they truly are. Sage finds out who truly has her back, I was shocked as people's real colors are revele, I was not expecting alot of it and that CLIFFHANGER ENDING GOT ME!!

Who knew the Predator would find his Equal in his Prey.

If I could live inside this women's mind I would absolutely love to do so of course not in a weird creepy way! Not that I think I can truly say that in a non-creepy way but don't even get me started on this book. I had been watching all of the clips on TikTok for this story and I can't even truly believe how much it lived up to the hype, I have not been disappointed by T. D. Craft at all.
I 100% say read those trigger warnings because holy gosh dang does this amazing lady use all the best ones!

Now for the story if you don't want spoilers run now!
Sage is living the basic hiding who I am girl with the group of friends she believes are her whole world, when her friends and herself begin to be tormented about an incident they had cause a year ago and she was living for the fear of the messages, she couldn't figure out who the hell the messages were from, but she was simply dying to know.
As for our stalker first holy hell if this man sexy but this man is set on that revenge for his cousin, he ended up saving and he simply couldn't handle the murder; he was going to take them all down well that is until Mr. stalker meets our horny fear obsessed Sage.

It's hard to summarize in a certain amount of words how this book gripped me.
Bleed for me changed the game, it gripped me from the very first page!!

I felt that I was sage , I felt her emotions I went on her journey with her. It truly is that dark side of us all, that this book just reaches, that side that as innocent and perfect seeming, dwells in us all. Your heart breaks with her and bleeds with her. And when we encounter HIM it scares the living crap out of her (me too sage , me too !)

But IL let you discover what I'm talking about for yourself ... just prepare for the ride of a life time. If you think you figured out the next move I promise you , you haven't!

And if your feeling brave , which I certainly was , check the Playlist out. Have it playing in the background while you get transported into the world of sage in the small town of willowdale where everything seems "wickedly perfect" but certainly is not.

This definitely gave me all the 90s slasher/Scream/I Know What You Did Last Summer nostalgia feels! It was a fun, fast paced, dark, chaotic, smutty read. It had some interesting plot twists and I cannot wait for the next book!

I honestly had no issues getting into this one. There is a lot going on. Masked men, murder, betrayal, secrets AND spice? What more could you ask for?! It definitely keeps you guessing and it starts to put the pieces together. He knew Sage had a side to her that matched his even if she didn’t let it free like he does. He’s willing to get revenge for his cousin but also for her once he learns she’s nothing like her friends. Her friends honestly suck and most are awful. I’m excited to see how the 2nd book goes and how things end.

It’s like I know what you did last summer meets scream and those are two of my favorite horror movies. I’m super mad at the cliffhanger but that’s just because now I have to wait to see what happens with sage and callum

Sage never expected her 22nd birthday to end with her sitting in an integration room covered in blood. So many mistakes were made and someone died. Now 3 months later someone is killing people in town.

Oof.

I almost gave up within the first couple of pages but I trudged on, hoping it would get better.

There’s a good story in this book, but it’s clunky and hard to connect to anyone, it moves insanely fast and all the characters bleed together.

If it had gone through more edits, I think I would have ranked higher.

I don’t think I have it in me to read the 2nd book though, even if I was left with a cliffhanger.

DNF at 5% I’m so sad, I loved this authors novella Run Baby Run but this? This book is not written well. There’s no punctuation, the writing isn’t great and it’s choppy. The storyline and concept sound so great, but I’m not dragging myself through it with the writing like this. It needs some serious editing, and that’s my advice to the author. Have an editor look this over and fix it up and rerelease it.
