Annamaria Pinter is a lecturer at the Centre for English Language Teacher Education at the University of Warwick, UK. Originally she comes from Hungary where she worked in a teacher training college specialising in ELT for young learners. She had several years of experience of teaching children of all ages in both state primary schools and private language schools in Hungary. For the last decade she has worked in the UK with international students at MA level, teaching courses related to ELT for young learners such as the psychology of language learning and teaching and materials and course design and evaluation for young learners.

She has supervised a wide variety of dissertations in the area of classroom research with young learners. She has also run practical workshops and training courses for teachers and teacher trainers both at Warwick and overseas and has a keen interest in teacher development. Her PhD research was about the benefits of task-based learning for children in EFL contexts.
