I’ve never read a shifter romance where the female is the shifter and the male is human. Obie did NOT disappoint. I was all in from the beginning. It kept my interest throughout and I hated that I knew it was coming to an end. I loved everything about Mason and Logan’s story. I laughed, I found them both endearing, and I just plain enjoyed it. Obie, as she always does, shows her genius through the every day interactions of the couple that other authors do not address or mention. Obie handles them with humor and does a great job explaining the world she has created. I don’t reread often but this will be reread and is probably in my top 3 of Obie’s.

I received a copy in advance for my honest opinion.

This is Mason’s finding her mate story, she is the baby in the Making the Cut. She is coaching when she catches the eye of Logan, whose father owns the Vancouver Legacy, he wants her to their skating coach. Mason does not want the job, part of it is that is in a different clan’s territory. She knows this human is her mate, when he asks her out she says yes. She never expected for her mate to be a human, how will he react when he finds out the truth about her?

I really liked Mason and Logan’s story. Logan is willing to go the extra mile for his she wolf. She has a coming affect on him.

I have to be honest and say paranormal romance is not a genre I’m normally drawn too but I do love Hockey and i do enjoy Kat Obie’s writing. I’m so glad I took a chance on Mason and Logan’s story because The Score was so much more that I expected, it’s a true love story that drew me in and didn’t let me go.
This book has all the feels, it’s fun and witty and it has wonderful characters that are easy to love but more importantly it’s a well written story that will appeal to a wide range audiences.

I enjoyed Mason and Logan's story. It rare that the woman is the shifter in paranormal romances. That aspect made it interesting as well as combining it with a sports romance. Their personalities work well together and doesn't clash. There isn't much drama to the plot, which was a nice reprieve from some of the other stories I read. This is about two people coming together and making a relationship work despite their differences. I really like the sweetness and normalcy of it. There's steam, funny moments, a little family secret, and just and overall good read from beginning to end.

I really like Mason. She is confident but still hesitant. I like that she works in hockey. I thought we might get more drama from Mason due to her antics as a child. I like Logan. I like how fast he falls. The book is fun and it is flirty. I like that we visit with Rhe Wild and their family.

Better than expected

This is the first book from this author that I've read. First of the series and sub-genre. It's more paranormal than hockey. But I really enjoyed it.
