Hot Vampire Kiss
The werewolf population is entrenched in a century long civil war, and now they are plagued by a virus that is turning wolves into killers. Okay Yum, who doesn’t love brothers. Hot brother… Hot Vampire Brothers!!! YUM!!! Did I say YUM yet? YUM!!
Lisa does a great job of creating a new vampire world. A world where Vampires are kept in check or they are put to death. A world of the Vampire Wardens. But those in charge may not always be trust worthy. The Brooks brothers will learn that the hard way.
I really enjoyed this 1st installment of Lisa’s Vampire Warden Series. Evan & Marissa are great together. They learn very quickly to trust one another and learn that sometime you can’t fight chemistry or fate. No matter how many walls you build up, there is going to be one person that can break through them.
Over all I really, really enjoyed this short story. My only problem was that I think that Marissa adjusted way too quickly to the changes that fell upon her. But maybe it was the alcohol or her over whelming urge to be with Evan. But either way I loved Evan and Marissa together. I hope that we get to see them some in the next two books. I am looking forward to Aiden (Hot Vampire Seduction) & Troy’s (Hot Vampire Touch) books.
If you are looking for a really good, fast, hot short read. I would encourage you to go grab a copy of Hot Vampire Kiss by Lisa Renee Jones.

I'm a huge of Lisa Renee Jones and her Blaze books and when I was given the opportunity to read and write a review of her new erotic paranormal vampire series, I was in. I will admit that paranormal is not one of the genres that is a must read for me. I felt like since Twilight came out, the pool became a bit shallow for me. Ms. Jones proves again that she is a voice to be heard in the paranormal world.
The setting for the story is in my backyard. I knew everywhere Lisa was taking me in the story right down to the dump hotel. Sorry, not a spoiler but if you live in Texas, you will understand. This is the first book in a series about a trio of brothers that were turned during a vampire raid and were made wardens of the vampire world. Lisa has built a vampire world that makes sense to this reader and doesn't muck it up with anything fancy that will make you scratch your head and go what did she just say? Evan and Marissa became a part of me from the time they met and have stayed with me long after I closed my Nook. The siblings are much like any other siblings; protective, bossy, loving and most of all loyal to each other. You get a little bit of Troy's backstory in this book but it only enhances Evan and Marissa's story. Marissa doesn't even begin to comprehend what is happening to her except that she wants, I mean needs Evan. Their story starts off hot but ends rather sweetly. I applaud Ms. Jones for the somewhat of a cliffhanger in the end but don't worry, there is a HEA.
I would highly recommend Hot Vampire Kiss for anyone new to the genre that likes to super spicy hot and wants to really care about the characters that they are reading about. Plus, come on...the setting is Texas. What's not to like about that?

A virus has led to werewolves killing innocent young women in Temple, Texas. Evan and his two brothers, Aiden and Troy, are sent to investigate and catch the werewolf. Evan and his brothers answer to the council who keeps order amongst vampires, as well as remain hidden amongst humans, as humans believe them to be extinct. All three brothers are Wardens, vampires who hunt those who prey on humans. When the council got word of a werewolf killer, they sent Evan and his brothers to track the werewolf down.
While working at a bar on the lookout for information, Evan encounters Marissa, who he instantly feels an attraction to. Marissa is the key to the next victim attack. While trying to protect Marissa, she was bitten and became infected by the werewolf. Evan gave Marissa some of his blood so the virus of the werewolf will not infect her fully. Doing this Evan broke the council law, which is punishable by death; he bonded with a human. He needs to hunt down the werewolf and kill it before the next full moon as the virus will take over Marissa and she will become a killer werewolf. They also have to worry about the council and what they might do to Evan for bonding with Marissa.
This was an exciting read for me. When the book was close to the end, I kept looking at the book length progress of my ebook device hoping it would not finish, the story for me personally was that engaging. I loved that the author detailed the backdrop of the brothers’ history in the product preview. This was helpful because the moment you started the book it dove right into the story. Evan for me was a sexy character; he is that vampire that has seen a lot throughout his hundred years of living, so at that moment when he saw Marissa he knew what he wanted. Marissa was a very shy but not so shy character. As the story progress, she became more out spoken dealing with the issues that she might become a wolf. The book says erotica not sure I would classify as that but their intimate scenes were still good and hot.
I was so excited that we got to meet Aiden and Troy, they are just a bundle of vampire hotness. Aiden seems like the mature one but Troy, Troy was the cranky and mysterious one that has accumulated issues from his past as described in the book. I do not want to give away too much on him, but Troy is also a little different from his other two brothers. Finally yet importantly Marcus, He is the warden in-charge and who saved the brothers when they were turn so long ago. I do not know what the author as planned for Marcus in the upcoming books for Aiden and Troy but I demand a story to be written about Marcus. He entered the story mid way through but he left an impact.

For a short novella I really enjoyed it. Evan is a "Warden" of the Vampire Council aka a vampire sheriff. He and his younger brothers are in charge of tracking down and killing outlaw vampires, werewolves, or anything that preys on humans. Their newest task is tracking down and killing a werewolf who is brutally murdering women in Temple, Texas. Knowing it is a good place to learn about the attacks Evan takes a job working as a bartender at a bar across the street from the hospital. One night destiny walks through the door in the form of a beautiful blond named Marissa. She is able to ignite a fire in the normally unshakable Evan and he can't help but further explore the connection. Little does he know that she is also in the sights of the werewolf he's been hunting and his only chance to save her may cost him his own life. Without spilling too much of the storyline the only other thing I can say is that Evan is a worthy hero and is willing to sacrifice anything for Marissa. It's truly a splendid novella with great characters, an action packed plot, and a steamy romance that you can't help but love. My one complaint is it was too short, but I am looking forward to reading the follow up novellas.

Marissa’s month hasn’t been going the way she thought it would and it just got a whole lot worse. Marissa is about to find out about a world she had no idea existed and she is going to find out about it in a way that she could have done without. One night Marissa is attacked by a werewolf which infects her and she is suddenly finding out that vampires and werewolves do exist and that her life just might be over.
Evan Brooks became a vampire when he and his brothers were attacked by a vampire they went to hunting for the animal that had attacked and killed half of their town. Evan and his brothers were saved by a Warden and now they are Wardens charged with finding a werewolf that is attacking women. The werewolf is a rogue and it is the brothers’ job to track it down and take care of it before it kills anyone else. What Evan didn’t expect is to find a woman that is in the sights of the werewolf or to have feelings for her in just a short amount of time.
Now Evan will do whatever he has to do to save Marissa from the werewolf and anyone else that might be after her. He never expected to have the feelings he has for Marissa and never expected a chance at happiness that suddenly seems to be in his path. Now he is going to have to find a way to make sure the werewolf is stopped so that Marissa will be safe. He is also going to have to find a way to explain his life to Marissa so that she will understand the world she is now a part of.
This is a start of a trilogy that starts out great. This is different type of vampire story that holds it own against the many other vampire stories. The characters are engrossing and the story is fast paced that once the reader starts it they will find it hard to put down. It also will have the reader eagerly awaiting the next story in the trilogy. There is also plenty of action for those readers that enjoy action in their romances. This is worth picking up and reading as the reader won’t be disappointed in this one.

This is an inexpensive Kindle read that packs quite a punch for a novella.
Marissa is a nurse who walks into the wrong bar at the wrong time seeking to de-stress after a tough day. Not being a typical barfly, bartender Evan, is attracted to her and realizes quickly she might be in danger. You see, Evan is no ordinary bartender. He is a Vampire Warden on the hunt for a rogue werewolf serial killer. Marissa was the nurse that cared for his last victim so of course he wants her dead too. He's just sick like that or he is rabid. It's never made clear.
Trying to protect Marissa, Evan arranges to take her home but discovers the wolf is just outside the doors of the bar. He tells Marissa to wait for him to grab a coat (call for help) and she does the stupid thing and goes outside to throw up all the liquor she drank. Wolfman takes a chuck out of her before Evan can save her with some of his blood. The story takes off at warp speed from there. This is an erotic novel with plenty of vamp on wolf on vamp violence.
For such a short book, I felt I got to know Marissa, Evan, and Evan's brothers -- Aiden and Troy. Both are interesting in their own way. The next book, already out, is about Aiden. I already have it locked and loaded on my Kindle. I did not give 'Hot Vampire Kiss' 5 stars because it really needed to be a little longer. There were some deets that didn't need to be skimmed such as why the vamps eat Pizza and are awake during the day. For me, mythos details are helpful to know.

I loved this! A great start to the series, a short & sexy vampire tale full of hot men, mystery and betrayal.I'm really looking forward to the next one.
Evan is a vampire warden, who's goal is to keep the secret of the supernatural from the human's. We meet him as he is working undercover as a bartender while on the trail of a werewolf who is killing indiscriminately. Marissa goes into the bar after a gruelling shift in the ER to hopefully help her put the days events out of her mind. When Marissa is attacked by the werewolf, Evan feeds her his blood breaking the law and disrupting the curse that is trying to take over. Join them on their journey to destroy the wolf before the full moon to break the curse. There are a few surprises along the way and the end sets up the next book perfectly. I'll certainly be continuing with the series.

Lets give a round of applause to Ms. Lisa Renee Jones on this fabulous book about vampires, werewolves, love, lust, and sacrifice. This is a fast, hot read that kept me hooked the whole way through.
When Evan takes a job at a local tavern in order to gain information about a werewolf, he never realized that his life is going to change drastically. He notices Marissa right away and instantly knows he is gonna get to know her better. He realizes that unintentionally she has put herself right in a killers path and vows to protect her no matter what. Marissa is instantly attracted to Evan and after a night of drinks allows him to give her a ride home. Little does she know, this night is gonna be a tuning point in her life and she will never be the same again.
The chemistry between Evan and Marissa is explosive right from the beginning. The sex is hot and often. The passion is intense. Evan is a very protective, alpha male. Marissa is a strong female that I really liked. She didn't break down when she was informed about her situation but she also didn't take it lighly either. She was obviously upset, rightfully so, but she took it in stride. This story really did flow nicely with no real jumpy moments. I kept looking at my percentage meter, thinking to myself, is this going to be solved before the book is done? Well, it is, which shows that Ms Jones keeps you on the edge of your seat right up until the last pages of the book. This book left me wanting more. I cannot wait for the others in the series to be released.

HOT VAMPIRE KISS is the first book of three, book two HOT VAMPIRE SEDUCTION, and book three HOT VAMPIRE TOUCH are short books (100 pgs or less) I read them all and thought to write one review for all three books.
The series begins with the three Brooks brothers, Evan (34), Aiden (32) and Taylor (28). They were early settlers of the town of Braunfels, Texas. When the town was haunted by a series of brutal animal attacks, that left a half-dozen townsmen murdered, the Brooks brothers took things into their own hands. Armed and ready for action, they set out into the wilderness, determined to find this animal and kill it. What they found was a female vampire who decided the brothers were scrumptious morsels, worth keeping around for a lifetime. She attacked the brothers and turned them to vampires.
Well let me say these three brother's are YUMMY HOT and SEXY. If you are looking for a fast read with hot steamy scenes and plenty of action then these are the books your looking for.

HOT VAMPIRE KISS is book 1 on Lisa Renee Jones' new series, the Vampire Wardens. Fans of paranormal or vampires will adore this great new voice in the genre. While this is a quick read, you won't feel at all lost, your only complaint will be that it's over. There are characters to adore, and a storyline that is fast-paced and well written. The romance between the two main characters, Evan and Marissa, is hot and full of chemistry. The writing is excellent with just the right touches of suspense, romance and world building. You are sure to be delighted with this first book to a great new series.I highly recommend HOT VAMPIRE KISS to all fans of paranormal romances or romances with vampire.

What a great, quick read! I love the new world of vampires and werewolves that's been created here. The Brooks brothers are vampire Wardens, essentially a police force for the paranormal world, who answer to the vampire council. I haven't read a book from this type of perspective before, so that was interesting. A very good mix of romance and action. Evan was wonderfully protective and Marissa was strong enough to stand up to what was unfolding around her. This definitely wanted to make me read the next installments!

I was surprised at the amount of editing errors; not just spelling and grammar issues, but things like Marissa's background. I expected better.

An adult vampire romance novella that is the first of the series, but each book ends in an HEA for the couple that was focused on. Can be read as a standalone, but more of the story is understood if read in order.
This book follows Evan and Marissa as they hunt for the werewolf that is murdering women in Temple Texas.
Marissa is a nurse who has unknowingly put herself right into the focus of the killer Werewolf. Evan is a Vampire Warden charged with finding the killer Werewolf and killing it before it can kill any more women.
I enjoyed the characters chemistry and the spice. I feel like it all happened too fast though. I know it's a novella, so it was supposed to, but I would have loved more. More details, more looks into the brother's lives as Vampire Wardens, and more details on the vampire warden culture etc.

A virus is running through the werewolf population and has cause at least one of them to become a serial killer. Three vampire brothers are charged with locating and eliminating the werewolf. Marissa is a young innocent nurse caught up in the drama after she's attacked by the wolf. According to Evan, one of the three brothers, the moment he saw Marissa he felt more alive than he had in a century. Their journey to love, tracking the infected wolf and petitioning the vampire government for dispensation is interesting, intense and dangerous not to mention hot and spicy.

The story consists of a series of killer threats to their new found “bond” where Evan decides if fight or flight is the best option. What they have together isn't acceptable in this world of vampires and shifters because the two just don't mix and yet neither can resist and are determined to see where it all leads.
Plenty of fighting and hot love scenes dominate the overall storyline, but kept an intense pacing. Evan is the jaded immortal who finds himself confused over his fierce feelings for a human woman. While Marissa may be a bit naive, she can't stand human suffering and has redirected her life to helping people through a nursing career. They are both beings that like to control outcomes, but they don't always sync on how to best help each other, which leads to some heated discussion and sizzling action.
Reader's should be prepared for a happily-ever-to-be-continued kind of ending.

I really enjoyed hot vampire kiss, the sex scenes were good but not great & the story is the "slowest" of the trilogy, its mostly about setting up the scence for the next two books.

This was a great short read. I really enjoyed it. There was just enough to pull you in and keep you interested.
Lots of hot passion. Lisa Renee Jones writes sexy, hunky vampires that you gotta have a taste of. Her characters are easy to fall in love with.

Evan is a honorable vampire warden, his mission is to find and kill a rogue werewolf. He is a sexy, dominate, lonely vampire. He doesn’t think he needs or wants a woman in his life until one night when that all changed.
Marissa, a beautiful, witty, confidant but lonely and somewhat emotionally scarred. She has no one, no family. Deciding to become a nurse to help save life’s. One night after a hard day at work, she decides to go across the street to the bar. She doesn’t realize how much that decision is going to change her life.
This novella doesn’t leave you wanting for anything except for the next book.

This was a short, really fun read! I didn't know it was so short when I started it, but it only took me a couple hours (a couple very interrupted hours, lol) to finish! Evan is a Vampire, and meets Marissa one night while tending bar. Marissa is an RN at the local hospital and Evan is a Vampire Warden. A warden is one who hunts rogue vampires, vampires gone bad from blood lust. Evan is working as a bartender as a cover in Temple, Texas. They've followed a rogue wherewolf to this area and the wolf has been killing. When Evan finds out that Marissa is the wolf's next target, he knows he has to protect her. It's no big thing for Evan though, who has fallen in love with the blonde beauty who has made him feel for the first time in over a century. The story follows the couple as they run from the wolf and the consequences of Evan's attachment to the human. Evans brothers Aiden and Troy are along for the ride and their stories are next!

Not a bad vampire/werewolf story. A little short but not a bad story either.
Three vampire brothers are wardens who chase after the bad guys...paranormal bad guys that is.
While investigating a werewolf killing Evan (the oldest brother) meets a Nurse that he is instantly attracted to and protective of. She is attacked by the werewolf and Evan saves her life. This action now puts him in trouble with the council.
The wolf is now targeting the heroine and they are all on the run trying to find a way to kill the werewolf before the full moon.
Exciting, action, a few twists and turns and in the end
This is the first book of a trilogy...I will continue and read each of these "short" novels or novellas? This was 55 pages long. It wasn't a bad story. I am looking forward to reading book 2.

Quick read. Good character development for such a short story.
Marissa decides, now that she has no more family to do something with her life & becomes an ER nurse. After a rough day, where she had a repeat visitor whom she had to give more bad news, once again, she decides to stop at the bar close to work & meets Evan the bartender. Unbeknownst to her, Evan is vampire warden on the search of a rouge werewolf attacking people. After listening to her story Evan realizes two things, the girl she took are of in the hospital was targeted by the werewolf he’s searching for (which means he’ll come after Marissa next) and he has an undeniable attraction to Marissa.
When she leaves the bar Marissa is attacked, Evan saves her only to realize she’s been infected with the Lycan virus…now to save her.
