I Am Your Sign is an inspiring, invigorating look at some of history’s most powerful moves of God. If you think that faith has been drying up for two millennia, get ready to read about numerous believers who have come upon seemingly dead regions and they were ignited by the most unlikely ministers—affecting incredible changes.
You will be challenged to press forward in prayer, asking God to begin a new revival, today! Personal, present-day testimonies as well as exciting examples from history and plenty of Scripture support makes I Am Your Sign one of the best revival books in years.
It prepares a new breed of revivalist in the same way that the priest Hilkiah brought the truth to Josiah—and he became a Kingdom revolutionary. I Am Your Sign presents prophecies, history, and the Father’s intention to inspire hearts, concluding in a summons to change the course of history!
This is basically a brief survey of revivals throughout history, strung along a narrative progression encouraging you to try to apply them to your own life to bring about revival. It covered basically every revival I've ever heard of, but none of them in-depth. Each one gets a quick mention, with a few sentences of application before moving on to the author's next point. The book is reasonably well-structured, although I found some of the turns of phrase awkward and some of the applications were a bit of a stretch, especially the Biblical ones. Overall, though, I do think that an occasional reminder of the fact that God wants to work in our lives and wants us to have faith in Him is an important message for any reader to hear. Stylistically, it was a bit too much bombast and hype for me (I'm still not sure exactly what "Secret" I was supposed to have gleaned, as the title promises, and I could quibble with the specifics of several of his points), but overall it contains a lot of important reminders to any committed Christian.
Nice mix of inspirational writing and historical reference. Emphasizes the significance of one committed person to bring spiritual change. Stresses that revival will come when God's people passionately and desperately cry out for Him to act in their generation. Important reminder that God often acts powerfully when things appear to be at their worst.
Although not necessarily my own, I believe that as long as they believe in the Supreme Being there are many interpretations and I try to be tolerant of each
