I have enjoyed Mimi Jean Pamfiloff’s humorous writing style and am curious to see what happens to Huff in Just Mr Love. He was a wimp, a nerd, but after an accident, he developed super powers. Of course, something given, something taken. I’ll leave it to you to find out for yourself. But, just to entice you a bit more, here are my thoughts.
I didn’t get as involved in Just Mr Love as I did in Mr Ultra Mega Love. Can’t say exactly why, but I still enjoyed the story. Not only is Huff trying to just survive, he has to deal with betrayal, danger, and loneliness. He makes some risky moves with the help of a new friend. Could she end up being a love interest? She is willing to put her life on the line forhim, and for a new start for herself. It will be interesting to see what develops.
I hate cliffhangers, but I love Mimi Jean’s writing, so that’s okay. Sometimes things happen.

If Marvel Comics and a rom-com had a baby, this series would be the result. We have an unwitting superhero who's more at home being the scrawny nerd who gets picked on. But now he has to figure out what to do with his new superbody and super-human abilities.
In this second installment, Huff is just beginning to understand his body and its new abilities while trying to accomplish several things. Avoiding bad guys who want to use him for nefarious purposes. Steering clear of the evil genius who is responsible for his new condition. And most importantly, trying to convince the girl he's loved since the second grade that he wants to be more than friends. Except Huff has concerns about the repercussions of using his new body in an amorous way, and for good reason.
Despite his super-human abilities, Huff is still that nerdy, awkward, innocent young guy, and the juxtaposition as he tries to figure things out is endearingly sweet. We see him begin to come into his own as he uses his brain to try and thwart evil and takes advantage of the benefits his new abilities give him. He's not quite there yet and this book ends with a few messes that I can’t wait to see him sort out.
This talented storyteller always keeps me guessing, and I never know what to expect from her characters. But she also makes me thoroughly enjoy the time with them and love them so much I definitely want more! Huff's story is loaded with drama, excitement and laughs but tempered with poignant heart. I have no doubt it will be one of your new favorite reads, so make sure you don’t miss this series.

This author offers eventful rides for sure–you can never guess what nor when the next plot twist will be. But I actually like knowing my destination. There’s a good compromise somewhere between boring and chaotic.
Huff is supposed to be smart, but he keeps making stupid decisions. Some of them are consistent with the character, like his reluctance to kill, but a lot of them make little sense. I suppose you can blame it on the fact he never has time to think. He’s mostly reacting instead of planning. And despite his superhuman strength and his powers, he barely controls his life, people around him and circumstances dictating what his next step should be.
We have more than Huff’s point of view, and it was interesting. Though it didn’t help me with liking River more. Can I say I despise her? While her motivations and hang ups are kind of understandable, she asks so much of Huff and never compromises. So if my suspicions about where the author is leading her story are right–which is improbable, since she never does what I think she will–I kind of like that River is so uncompromising.
At least they finally do the deed. And it was surprisingly explicit and hot compared to what the author usually writes. I won’t complain though.
There was a political and social message lost in the middle of all this chaos, and though I thought it was bold to go that route for the author, it kind of annoyed me. It was a bit too on the nose, like she was trying to convince the readers, and I wasn’t there for a lecture.
It’s not too long and you never get bored, and with that ending, of course I want to see what happens next, but it wasn’t the author’s best work.

While I have to admit that the book started out a little slow, it quickly picked up speed. While not necessary, I would recommend reading the first book for background although Mimi Jean does a great job of bringing you up to speed in the beginning of the book. Mimi Jean fleshed out the characters a bit more and introduced several new characters. One character becomes truly evil, and an evil character tries for redemption. Can’t say that I was pleased with the introduction of the third and fourth wheels, but there is always a method to Mimi Jean‘s writing madness and I’m sure she has already planned out what happens in the third book. She is evil that way and keeps her readers in suspense. Again Huff tries to save the world, and in the process disappoints his true love. However, was he meant to be with River? Several twists and turns, a lot of laughs, seriously, who names a toxic waste dump using their own initials, MJP? Only the incomparable Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. So sit back with a glass of wine, or a cup of coffee, put your feet up, and enjoy this read. You will definitely not be disappointed.

OMG the worlds gone crazy and when your brother is an evil mastermind who can you trust???
Huff is still his naive and kind-hearted self but when his life and family are threatened can he toughen up enough to take out the trash? I’m sure we will find out as Mimi weaves her tales of craziness!
Make sure you’ve read the earlier books in this series before you start this one! Can’t wait for the finale!!

I just can’t with this book cause I enjoyed it so much! It was so cute and funny I’m so many ways with a superhero who try’s but just keeps falling short and then was all about this one lol

I absolutely love Huff. He tries soo hard to be good when everything around him is trying to force him to do terrible things. I really dislike River in this book. I really hope she gets better in the last book. Great series so far.

Huff has never had it easy he lost his sister in school killed by some girls in a place she should have been safe, his brother’s always been a complete douche bag (but he seems to be trying to help Huff now which makes a change), huff nearly got himself killed trying to protect the love of his life River but instead got turned into a man of Steele (obviously not literally but at one point he did have a cape). Huffs body may have changed its became built filled out in EVERY possible way but inside he’s still the same nerdy kid who’d do anything to protect the ones he loves.
However some things don’t change his brother’s still a massive douche however he’s helped Huff these past months you see the stuff that turned Huff into Mr Ultra Mega Love (yes that’s the name the public picked so weird lol ) was killing him in-fact for a time there everyone thought he was dead including the love of his life as the stuff that had turned his body can stop your heart well it makes it go splat. However Huff is alive but was the sacrifice in leaving those he loves behind letting them think he was dead the right way to go??
The fact is Huff thought his brother was finally being the brother he needed instead he’s become this power hungry mad man who wants to make Huff his war machine guinea pig but can Huff realise that his brother has lost the plot before Huff looses that which he loves the most because he couldn’t stay away from River he’s loved her for so long and she knows the truth but Huffs hurt her over and over again because of his saviour complex can he repair the damage and make things right with River before it’s to late and he looses her for good? First though he’s the small matter of his nut job brother to sort out. Let’s hope Mr Ultra Mega Love can become Just Mr Love in time to win his girl

Absolutely loved it!
Omg this series just kills me.... with laughter!! I loved the continuation of the story of Huff, who gained super powers in the last book, and how he is on the chase to find the evil chemist, Morris.... or is he really an evil chemist???
He has been out in the jungle for months living alone and staying out of the people's eyes on his brothers request. Everyone, except his immediate family, believes he's dead... even the love of his life, River. Except now, she knows he's alive and comes to find him. He's too terrified to bring her into his mess, which then leads her to leave and end up institutionalized - unbeknownst to him.
The plot then thickens when he realizes that the one person who he thought he could trust betrayed him and wants to use him for their own selfish greed. And all Huff wants is to be normal and love River.
As usual with a Mimi book, the plot thickens AGAIN to a stage 10, and everything just goes to hell... in a handbasket and maybe on a unicorn lol.
You just have to read this book and series to understand!! But the ending...gaaahhh another plot twist I didn't see coming - this one a stage 100 plot twist! Omg I can't wait to see what happens. I will say that River seemed very wishy-washy to me and never happy about anything... and I'm not sure I like where this seems to be going with Luna. But I'll reserve judgment until I read what happens. Mimi is definitely known for throwing all preconceived thoughts down the garbage disposal and blowing your mind again, rofl. Overall, I loved the book!

This is the 2nd book in the series. You don't need to read book 1, as book 2 tells of what mostly happens in book 1.
We have Huff, who now the public goes by "Just Mr. Love." He has tried to correct people but, everyone still calls him "Just Mr. Love". Huff is trying to figure out the bad guy - Maurice, the mad scientist is after him, but why? Huff & Maurice are trying to figure out what was in the 'ooze' that infected him in book 1. But, Maurice keeps getting the chemistry wrong.
Huff's brother - Kyle - keeps trying to push Huff in a certain way. We find out that Kyle is not the one Huff needs to be trusting.
Huff contacts the reporter - Luna - from Book 1 - to tell the world that Maurice isn't mad, and that he's actually trying to save the world. Which is completely opposite of what his brother Kyle is stating.
Huff is trying to protect River - who he has known & loved since 2nd grade. However, when River turns up at his trailer in the middle of the jungle in the middle of nowhere, Huff can't turn her away.
Will Huff be able to protect River? Will Huff be able to trust his brother - his blood? Or is Kyle just power hungry?

Poor Huff who can't do right for doing wrong
I love Huff and all his efforts to do the right thing that usually end up causing more problems than before. This time, the villain is much closer to home, which makes things even more complicated than they already are for the world's only superhero.
Written again mainly from Huff's POV, we do hear briefly from River again as well as another character. I liked hearing Huff's thought processes, trying to decide what to do, how much to reveal and to whom, worrying about those he loves being affected by his decisions. He came across as a young man trying to come to terms with his new reality and his altered physicality and his mental state, while being manipulated at every turn. He was definitely the best character in this book, but I did like his new friend too.
In this book, I struggled to like River this time around. Her actions and decisions were erratic and out of character when compared with the first book. I was expecting reasons for that but nothing was forthcoming here so I'm hoping all will be revealed in the next book.
I enjoyed the story with its twists and turns, and loved Huff, and I look forward to seeing what the next book will bring for him. Personally, I want to see more of Luna.

The only downside I could find with Just Mr. Love is that it ends in a cliffhanger. I know it is a necessary evil because there's so much more to this story. But, gah...I hate cliffhangers! There are some surprising and delightful twists and turns are pure Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. And, if you are as big a Mimi fan as I am you will laugh out loud at some of the tidbits she scatters throughout the story.
Huff's greatest attribute is that he wants, no needs to do the right thing. It's also his greatest fault because it makes him vulnerable to the manipulations of others. Case in point, his brother. Slowly, Huff realizes that Kyle's intentions are purely selfish. He's using River as a pawn in his schemes against Huff.
No matter how hard he tries River's perception of her and Huff's relationship is 180 degrees opposite of his and that's the problem. He's losing her by trying to be noble. Huff just might have to become the superhero everyone wants in order to become the man he's always wanted to be. There's also a new ally on the scene who will definitely make things lots more interesting.

The Second installment of the Revoluvtion series continues Huff’s journey of finding himself while navigating the treachery surrounding him. Cut off from everyone he knows and loves after having to fake his own death, the only connection to his former life is his older brother. A brother who tells him just enough info to keep him in the dark and accepting of his fate. But is there more to it than that?
Huff has been dealt some tough blows recently. Now he needs to figure out how to move forward or how to just let go. With the help of some unlikely allies and the emergence of some surprising foes, Huff works to shed the mantle of martyr and become the super hero the world needs. Ultimately Huff needs to learn to accept himself completely before he can be the man he was meant to be.
Once again Mimi Jean has built a world full of twists and unexpected surprises. The stakes are high and the wit is on point while taking the unlikely superhero trope and turning it on its head. With just a bit of romance thrown in Just Mr. Love is a fun read that leaves you wanting more.

This story picks up right where book one finished and left us hanging!

Maurice, the mad scientist who invented the potion is completely losing the plot, and Kyle needs Huff to help out. Mimi has a knack of twisting things at a moments notice, and right when the reader is least expecting it, Bang, we get a twist in the plot.
It seems Maurice may not be as bad as we thought, and there may be a badder bad guy hiding in plain sight. The craziness has just doubled up.
There are giggles aplenty to go along with the twists and turns, and the Easter eggs are there, so don't forget to look out for them. I often re-read Mimi's books again as soon as I finish, just to make sure I haven't missed anything.

This second installment in the series picks up where the first installment left off but WARNING it also ends on a cliffhanger. If cliffhangers are a problem for you then stop now and wait for the next installment!
So we pick up with Huff's journey where the first installment left off as I said before. He is antsy in his exile and wants to rejoin the world - especially being with River whom he just exchanged proclamations of love with. In a series of twists and one more wild ride Huff finds himself on the run for a time when he is set up by someone that he trusted and is now confused as to what is to come in his life next.
More characters are introduced and become important pieces of the story as the twists and turns continue.
Overall, Huff's story continues to have me hooked as I can't wait to see what happens next for our hero as he tries to do what is right not only for him but for others in his life. Will he succeed?? How will he handle the next round of hurdles thrown at him?? I guess we will have to wait and see when the next installment comes out.

In the story, Huff struggles with what it means to be a hero and a superpowered one at that and its impact on his relationships with River and his family. While he is superpowered, he seems to do everything wrong for the people he loves.
Who can he trust? Is he a danger to his family? Are superheroes meant to go through life alone? If he had the choice to go back to normal, would he take it? Huff has to find the answers within himself and make choices for himself.

I enjoyed reading this book! It started where the 1st book ( Mr. Ultra Mega Love ) left off and it also lets you know some of what had happened in the 1 st book and then there is so much happening to Huff that it drew me in and I could not put it down. You learn that Huffs brother Kyle is up to something and what Huff and River go through and how they handle everything. When Huff goes to get a suit for a gala is going to go to he thinks that the tailor is strange along with his dog and some type of moth and then when he is at the Gala Mimi describes characters from her other books and if you read them you know who they are love that she did that. So many twist and turn that kept me reading to find out what is going on and who is doing it. And it ends with a big cliff hanger that has me wanting to read the next book ( Mr. All Out Of Love ) . I highly recommend this book and series!!!!!

Huff is discovering new things about himself every day. He bounces back on forth on whether he should go public or not about still being alive. He’s caught between the crazy scientist, Morris creator of the magic potion, and the truth. I bounced around on what I thought he should do and then a twist was thrown in the mix. It’s always a thrill to read MJP books, finding Easter eggs, and devouring the story line. I recommend reading the first book, although there’s a good summary given, just to know Huff and River better. Huff’s story is exciting, unpredictable and mysterious. I’m very grateful when I can read an early copy, it’s a special treat, and I’ve provided my unbiased thoughts in this review.

This is book two in this series and picks up right where book one ended.
As a Marvel and DC junkie this unwilling superhero has got me addicted.
Huff is still his adorable nerdy and unsure self. But this time we get a little romance 😉
The twists and turn in this book alone had my head spinning.
But true to Mimi form we had plenty of laughs, lots of hidden Easter eggs and and plenty of adventure
One again we are left with a cliffhanger that has us wanting more.
I can’t wait to see what our hero gets up to next.

MJP does not disappoint in this latest of the RevoLUVtion series. We get introduced to some new faces and, of course a nice little cliffhanger ending to keep you on the edge of your seat. I went back and read the first book because I honestly forgot what happened but Mimi does a good job of brining you up to speed without having to read the first book (it was fun, anyway). I hope we don’t have to wait too long for the next installment but, Mimi is constantly writing us fabulous different series so, I’ll be patient.

She's done it again. Huff is funny and serious and does all the wrong things in Rivers eyes, although he's being chivalrous and doing what he thins is right, River is not rolling over and accepting it. I so want River and Huff to be together. Family can be a nightmare, and Huff's is no exception. You'd think their tragedy would bring them closer, but Huff's brother has so many other ideas. The twist at the end........ Can't wait!

Loved reading the mesmerizing and captivating story. When Huff's brother, Kyle, wants him to meet with the psycho scientist, Morris, and kill him, Huff agrees to the meeting but cannot bring himself to end Morris' life. In order to protect River, Hugh tries to have nothing to do with River, but someone close to Huff continues to go after River. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and a must read riveting story. Can't wait to read the next story in the series by the phenomenal author, Mimi Jean Pamfiloff.

A unique take on romance from a superhero perspective!
There's never a dull moment from the very first page of this book until the last. Intrigue to just trying to figure life out, Huff is on his toes constantly. This second book in the Revoluvtion series is a mix of the Hulk and an amazing love story. Our unlikely hero, Huff, only wants to get back to his life and love, River. Unfortunately, bad guys and even Huff himself keep getting in the way. There is plenty of adventure, lots of heartbreak, and a shocking ending to this great story! Pick it up but be ready to not be able to put it down!

I am loving this series, it makes me chuckle but has a darker side too.
Huff may have the body and abilities of a superhero, but he's still the nerdy guy with a big heart who doesn't want to hurt anyone. He lacks confidence and definitely struggles with being the hero, but he's always loved River and steps up his game for her.
However, things aren't always as they seem and with dangerous people trying to recreate the chemistry that changed him and others trying to kill Huff by any means necessary, some things have changed and not just with River, who i have to admit was not so likeable in this....... I've learnt though to always expect the unexpected with the twisty turny plots from MJP! After that mean old cliffhanger, I can't wait to see how (or if) Huff gets his hea.

This is the second book in the series and continues Huff and River’s story. As usual, MJP gives us her quick wit with her fabulous characters. The story read very quickly and entertained me the whole time with the twists and turns I came to love with MJP’s stories. I loved witnessing Huff figure out who he is and what to do with his new life. I can not wait for Mr. All Out of Love, book 3!
