Black Girl

Rate this book
A white man obsessed with black women. A modern life laid bare. When Paul Lines is finished working at his drab office job, he looks for excitement with drugs and call girls, and gets more than he can handle at Deano's; an all-day party where the lights are dazzling and the music worth dying for. Lurid, confessional and hilarious in turn, BLACK GIRL is the no-holds-barred story of his hell ride through the rave scene, into a nervous breakdown and back again. 'There is always one person in the club acting like a total prick. Unfortunately, it was me.'

Take note people, if you don't like the free sample, don't buy it.

I could not relate or understand the free sample bit I got from Amazon but then I started thinking, hey it's only a dollar something for like 250+ pages, maybe the story will change direction for the better, after all the number of pages tells me it should right?

Wrong, it was about a guy named Paul, who fancied black women, who did drugs, went to clubs and hated his crummy office job.

I didn't finish it, after about an hour and a half of reading, where at times my eyes felt like they needed caffeine directly ministered just to keep open, I finally conceded to defeat.

If there is someone out there whom finished this book and would like to tell me the ending, please do so, for the life of me I could not even instruct my fingers to skim over the book till the end.

I will say one thing though, it felt like someone's real life experience, if it is and those were your dark days, well then I humbly apologise.

Terrible

This was one of the worst books I have read in a long time. It took me months to finish this book. The whole book wasabi

This was a terrible read. The subject matter was centered on drug use and the effects it had on the characters. I hate to leave a book unread so it took me months to finish it. I WOULD not recommend this book to anyone.

I tried my hardest to get into this book but I just couldn't do it!! I quit reading it at Chapter 7. It takes place in London and it seemed like the entire book was about a man who went to Raves and did drugs. I really did give it a chance but the plot just did not catch my interest.
