Napoleon Hill

Oliver Napoleon Hill was an American self-help author and conman. He is best known for his book Think and Grow Rich (1937), which is among the best-selling self-help books of all time. Hill's works insisted that fervid expectations are essential to improving one's life. Most of his books were promoted as expounding principles to achieve "success".
Hill is a controversial figure. Accused of fraud, modern historians also doubt many of his claims, such as that he met Andrew Carnegie and that he was an attorney.

Every people want to success, achieve their dream. A quote from this book that make me realize what the first step I have to do "A Dream without a Plan is only a WISH". Folks, we all have dreams, goal we want to achieve as soon as possible. But again, do we have a plan to achieve, or we just sit and imagine all that dreams? Read this book and you will find a path to achieve all your dream.

Very good and there are only a couple minor things that keep me from giving it 5 stars. Part of that is because I was reading Think and Grow Rich at the same time. Compared to the other book this one isn't as strong BUT it is still very good and very motivating. For me it is a good gap-filler and will impact what I do on a daily basis. I probably could have gotten there anyway from reading the other book but it is the emphasis in this one that sped up the process for me. Other than that it does not offer as much. Still important enough to get a four though. If you haven't read TAGR then this could easily be a 5, and if you haven't I suggest reading that as well. But if I were to read only one it would be TAGR.

I enjoyed this book. It opened my eyes to a few new concepts. I have read a ton of self-help books so nothing in the book was really that new but I think I will benefit from it. I think I will read the real book by Napoleon Hill now. I will use some of the suggestions he makes like Prayer, Mediatation etc. I am trying to enhance my PMA efficiently and for that this book is valuable.

PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) é o tema central do livro. As chaves são:

1. Take possession of your own mind with conviction.
2. Keep your mind on the things you want and off the things you don’t want.
3. Live the golden rule.
4. Eliminate all negative thoughts by self-inspection.
5. Be happy, make others happy.
6. Form a habit of tolerance.
7. Give yourself positive suggestions.
8. Use your power of prayer.
9. Set gols.
10. Study, think and plan daily.

Esse livro é um bom exemplo de material que tem potencial para ser objeto da ironia com que livros de auto-ajuda costumam ser tratados. De qualquer forma, não importa: a injeção de ânimo é legal.

This was a very helpful bok that took you through 10 mental steps. Ideally you'd spend a week on each step but having borrowed this from the library I ended up reading it straight through. There are a lot of references to Napolean Hill's Think & Grow Rich as well as stories about Clement Stone who the author Ritt worked for. Each section had inspirational quotes that I loved as well as a small multiple choice questionnaire. Overall a great book to get you started on the road to a positive mental attitude.

I think my favorite quote from it is at the end, from James Mackintosh, "It is right to be contented with what we have, never with what we are." Always be grateful for the blessing and gifts we have been given, but also always strive to be better.

While on a war path to achievement all things written on a topic is necessary…I first read yes! Attitude by Jeffrey Gitomer and then came over to this one by allowing myself to be consumed with this desire to become a positive attitude…within the second return to these pages much of Gitomers recommendation seem to be originally formed here and also originally formed better as well…this one will probably be read many many times as I work to do the things it suggests including the additional materials to read in the end…I am already about to listen to step one again to make sure I am ready to go on to step two…like seriously I was losing my drive to read books reading fiction and began studying work topics and then was led to some other things and boom my life has been changed in less than 20 minutes spent on audible listening to a book in chipmunk emulation…anyways…highly recommended!!

Forget Napoleon Hill. It is not authored by him, just a basic kindergarten book I'd say. The only value for me was stories about Clement Stone (who the author Ritt worked for). Both Stone and Hill are good role models to live by.

Nice book. Lots of thinks that you have heard and that is known. However, it’s good to hear it again and you still find new insights. What is great are the what if’s scenarios. How would you respond to a specific scenario? Liked that a lot.

A good refresher on positivity and how it can make your life better. There's surely something in the book you'll pick up and add to your life.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5)

Šī grāmata ir lielisks kopsavilkums Napoleona Hila galvenajām idejām no viņa darbiem "Think and Grow Rich" un "Keys to Success".
