Milton ‘Jungle’ Patterson, while brought up in the street game, was also brought up in love. Although he veers away from it in his adult life, as he’s getting older, he is starting to crave it. He knows that living the life he inherited, being a kingpin, isn’t something he wants for himself anymore. However, love comes to him from an unsuspecting source… one of his friends’ sister. Trying to keep their relationship strictly platonic just isn’t working, especially when she flirts every chance she gets, even while he is trying to pursue something with someone else. He can only resist her for so long, and he realizes that he needs her as much as she needs him.
Chelsea Marcellus, formerly known as Jenetta, has had a rough life. Now that she’s free from the bondage she was once in, she finds herself in turmoil all over again. She loves a man that seems determined to keep her at arm’s length, and she longs for her daughter, a baby that was stolen from her. The adoptive parents are trying their best to keep her away, but she just won’t bow out without a fight, especially after the lengths they’ve gone to keep her away from her. Having Jungle and her family’s support helps, but the situation is tearing her apart.
When Jungle finally concedes to Chelsea’s advances after a failed attempt at love with someone else, she wonders if he’s serious about her. She doesn’t want to feel like his second option. Can she trust him enough to give him a chance to love her beyond what she’s ever known, or will she just cut her losses and choose to strictly remain friends?
Starting with poetry, writing has always been a constant in Monica's life. The interest began in her teenage years, being in love for the first time. Her love for writing has only progressed. Song lyrics and poetry led to short stories, then one day in her down time, a short story became a 56k word novel. It has been non-stop since then. Being a wife and mother, has only added to the joys of Monica's life. Attaining a BS in Sociology, helping her better understand people and their behaviors, has only helped her become a better writer, understanding characters and their complex personalities. Romance of all types has been her passion, and she plans to continue honing her skills in that genre.
Miss Monica! I must say that Jungle's story is my favorite thus far, of the non-Berotte clan! Who knew Jungle was this layered? He took his brotherhood seriously by taking care of Chelsea, but had no idea she would be the woman to change his life! He displayed a valiant effort to stay away from Chelsea, but the heart wants what it wants! Chelsea knew that Jungle was her "one", she just needed him to get onboard. Her immaturity shined through quite a bit, due to her inexperience, but it was all love when they got together. Chelsea had a way about her, that soothed Jungle and helped relieve him of the pain and regret he felt! I loved the sensitivity and patience that Jungle had with Chelsea, as he took baby steps to help her heal from her trauma! Now, that revelation about Kennedy, liked to take me out! Girl, what the hell you on? Don't you know Jungle don't play that ish?? SENECA! What the hell man? I couldn't believe him! He betta have multiple personality disorder or some ish, for that mess he made in the courtroom! 😡 Hopefully he didn't put everyone at risk. I will give Kaysyn a lil grace, but she still blindly followed Senecal, without knowing information for herself! She did show that she was a stand up woman, by how she handled the situation with Chelsea after court. Now, she was on her grown woman ish there! Mr. Rondo! I feel bad for him, and can't wait to see what went down, for him to say handle it! Great read!
Well I can honestly say that Jungle and Chelsea’s story was one that I highly anticipated reading. After the drama that took place in the previous book, I was ready for all the smoke that was on the horizon with these two!
Jungle has been apart of the extended Berotte clan for a few books now and I’ve recently found out that he’s made appearances in other books not in this series. As a member of Watchful Eyes and an heir to the Patterson throne, we already knew what type of time Jungle was on. He definitely got his name honestly because the man was a beast!! The king for the jungle if you will! 😋 Like pretty much all the men in this series excluding Mr. Sheldon, he’s finally realizing that at age 44 he’s ready to settle down and come home to a woman that soothes his soul on a nightly basis. In wasnt until he crossed paths with Chelsea that he even considered this to be a possibility.
Chelsea had some deep trauma after being held captive and brutalized by her father and brother for years. Finally set free at the hands of her other brother Jericho, Chelsea is finally ready to heal and begin living the life she’s missed out on for so many years. Many secrets were exposed and now she is trying to navigate through muddy waters. She had no idea that the very man that her brother trusted to keep her safe, would be the one that she fell deeply in love with. The only problem is that he has friend zoned her because he’s not ready to commit to a monogamous relationship.
Jungle low key got on my nerves with his indecisive ways! I mean how do you choose to be with another woman because you wanna see if you’re ready to commit before you commit?! Nîgga what?!? This ain’t no Hulu free 14 days trial! Either you want me or ya don’t! I mean he got it together or whatever but he still received serious side eye 😒!
Chelsea sis I was rooting for you from day one and I’m so glad that things worked out in your favor! You deserved every bit of happiness and more!
Seneca was loooooong overdue for that áss whoopin he received! Even though Kaysyn tried to redeem herself, all is not forgiven in my book! I get she was trying to allow her man to lead but she should’ve known what was going on from day one with something as serious as this. He wasn’t deciding what was for dinner, this was a decision that affected your whole family fool. 🙄Not sure how excited I am for Rondo’s story. I hate he had to deal with Kennedy and that whole mess but do we need a whole book…. 🫤🥴 not really. All in all this has been a wild ride of a series and I’ve enjoyed getting to know this family.
Jungle tried his best to keep Chelsea knowing he loved her. This was actually good compared to the previous books we’ve read. Chelsea never gave up & made Jungle hers. I can’t wait for Kennedy & creepy ass Van to get theres. Seneca what a bxtch, you should have known it was all going to back fire. Kaysyn got saved as she listened to Seneca bxtchass; he better hope she come back. Also I don’t feel there was a need for another book. This could have been longer just kill them & got it over with instead of dragging this series out.
I really want to throw something because Monica really made me not want to fight Kasysn in the end 😭! Let me focus on the main characters and say Jungle and Chelsea’s love story was very friends to lovers and I enjoyed them! I was able to feel the love once they each got out of their own way! Van was so irrelevant and only happened because of Kennedy so this is ultimately Jungle's fault for thinking he had to test a relationship with Kennedy to be ready for Chelsea! Are you dumb?!? *Remy Ma voice* And when Chelsea was begging Jungle to answer the phone I didn’t like that 😩 Stand UP!! I know she was trying to be there for him after the blow-up at Mel and Sandrene’s wedding but whew girl make him beg not you!😩 At times I felt like we saw her immaturity play out and this was one of those times for me. I will say her growth throughout the book was done well! The court date went as it should but like I said I wasn’t expecting that Seneca would be fully at fault 🥴 . That surprised me and his and Kasysn’s status also surprised me! Jungle’s sister Fawn sounds so cool and I’m going back to read her story! Y’all I feel all over the place in this review but it was so much going on! Like are we going to see what happens with Seneca and Kasysn, Rondo’s baby mama 🥴, why Vegas seems like he may be a main character soon, Jerrika and Chelsea’s relationship, and what will happen to Watchful Eyes after that court date 👀, and more! Like soo many questions! I’ll say this the book was good, the love story was good, and now I’m ready for how all this will come to an end!
This might be my favorite book of the Berotte friends. I didn't expect Jungle to love like he did. Also, I was wrong about Kaysyn. I thought it was all her but should have known it was Seneca's f-boy a**. I'm glad she and Chelsea TALKED, like they should have from the start. I can't wait to so see what happens to Seneca and Kaysyn and Rondo and his trash baby momma and her people. Another good book from this series!
So we’ve come to the end of the road… we’ll not really but we should have. We’ve had a good run with the Berotte family but it’s time to shut it down. I really don’t feel we need the next/last installment however, I will probably read just to satisfy my curiosity on the status of Seneca and Kaysyn’s relationship.
Jungle and Chelsea’s interaction when they first met stressed me a little bit. I couldn’t really tell what was going on and it slightly creeped me out. However, things seemed to level out once they established a friendship then intimate relationship. It seems as if Jungle and Chelsea were just what the other needed. Chelsea helped Jungle heal past hurts from losing his brother and father as well as the guilt he felt at not being able to be there for Fawn during her time of need. Chelsea needed love and a safe space. Jungle, a natural born protector became that for her. He was also one of Chelsea’s biggest supporters as she navigated the travesty of a court hearing she endured to reclaim a daughter that was stolen from her.
If you’ve been following this series than you already know that Seneca was a cynical piece of 💩 however, he unlocked a new level of Bi$&h@ssness in this one. I’m positive I heard Seneca repent and confess his sins after the baptism Jericho laid on his a$$. I must say that I was a bit surprised that after reading book after book of family and brotherhood, they resolved the situation the way they did. Im not saying that he didn’t deserve it and that I didn't like it, I was just surprised that they weren’t on some kumbaya type ish. All in all I’m happy that things worked out the way that they did for Chelsea, she deserved her HEA, she earned it. Monica did a great job with this series and I enjoyed each and everyone.
Seeing that jungle love ❤️ gave me all the feels 😘!! He was so tender and sensitive to C Mars issues then he was a savage about her. I was glad she finally got the man and her child. After so must turmoil and trauma, she deserved all the happiness and jungle ❤️ love that she could handle.
Seneca proved to be the f*ckboy that we all know him to be😡, oddly though I still think he and Kaysyn can get past this 🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️.
This is hands down my favorite book of the series 🥰🫣🤩
Prologue of the review: I haven’t finished the book and I had to start my review because MY GAWD Monica you wrote the heck out of this story 🤩. The plot twists in this story will have you stuck in this book, my boss messaged me twice asking if something was wrong and I was like “YES you talking to me while I am trying to read is the problem 🤣🤦🏾♀️🫣🙄.”
I was waiting for Jungle and Chelsea (Jenette) their passion was definitely felt thru these pages. They really did heal each other because Jungle was trying to fight it Chelsea was like naw you supposed to be with me. Now Chelsea and Jungle once they got it together, they were everything and mor. The way Jungle helped Chelsea become who she was meant to be had me all in my feelings. But seeing how Chelsea was able to bring the real Jungle was wonderful to read.
That situation with Seneca and Kaysyn had me ready to come thru the pages because he was wrong and and he definitely had to pay for his actions because they could have caused some major issues. The way these men and women ride for each other is amazing and I love me some “LAW” with his fine behind 🤣.
Now I am ready for Rondo’s book because all that mess going on with him, I wonder if Rondo’s ex and Knowledge have any connection 👀👀👀. I need the next book like yesterday Monica. Thank you for continuing to put out amazing work!
Chelsea was attracted to Jungle from day one. He was the first man to care for her after all the pain she endured from crazy as$ Jules. For her it was more though, she felt a connection to him, and nobody could tell her that he wasn't her one. Jungle was definitely sweet on her from jump, her vulnerability made him want to protect her. He was 44, and had been an fboy all his life so he was extremely hesitant to pursue her. I was low-key over his excuses though, because when you gone man up sir?? That said Chelsea decided to accept his "friendship" which was borderline questionable to me, but they weren't physical. Their emotional connection though was clear as day. Jungle plays though and although he swears Chelsea is immature, HIS immaturity gets him wrapped up in some mess with a set up heaux. It also has Chelsea trying to move on when she doesn't really want to. It seems once Jungle decides to finally accept her as his girl they go from friends to being in love, I'm talking 0 to 100 real quick. I mean it wasn't believable to me, but hey I was happy they got it together. Jungle immediately started making moves to protect his growing family.
Seneca....he proved that he was still a fboy. He came across extremely whiny and a cry baby in my opinion on his book. Those same characteristics were present in this book and he got everything he deserved because he was way too extra.
I appreciated the focus on the main couple and that the subcharacters only added to the story of the main characters. This has been a struggle in previous books and felt like that was an improvement with this one. Monica does a great job getting you to like her characters by humanizing them and allowing us to care about their journey. I would love it if the dialogue was more fluid. At times it feels out of place. Overall a solid read.
The way Jungle was patient with Jenetta /Chelsea is everything. 😩This man treated her with so much love and care he didn’t even know he had it in him. They helped each other healed just by simply being there for each other. I loved how they started off as friends and worked they way into a relationship. We love to see it. 🥰☺️ They belong together. ❤️
Jungle, Jungle,mf Jungle.... Monica gave me every emotion in this book that I didn't know I needed. There is drama, twists, turns, and the steamy scenes gave what they were supposed to give. If you haven't started this series, please do you won't be disappointed in the Black Love on the pages.
I love Jungle. Glad he got his own book. He was just what Chelsea needed in a man. He loved on her really good. What Seneca did was wrong. I am happy that Chelsea and Jungle are together. Very good book.
This book is about Jungle which is an extension of the Berotte family... Man this book really went on a rollercoaster ride of drama and high emotions... There was major backstabbing, betrayal, lots of secrets and twist... I could not wait to see how it all played out... I love Jungle... He is so misunderstood... He is tough in these streets but deep down he is hurt and scared... He does not know what he really wants and needs... But seeing all his "brothers" start finding love... He thinks he may need to give it a try... But what direction does he go... He has this new lady Kennedy that he is seeing... Yet he has really deep feelings for Chelsea which is Jericho's sister... He does not want to hurt Chelsea so he puts her in the friend zone and decides to give this relationship thing a try with Kennedy... He is really feeling her... And he is doing really good with this relationship thing... He has also been doing well with making sure to keep things with Chelsea at that friendship level... Chelsea aka Janetta has had a hard life... She has never had the freedom to just grow up... She was held captive and raped almost her whole life... Now that she is finally free... she does not really know what to do... She does have an immediate attraction to Jungle and will do everything she can to try and make him see that he should be with her... Although she hates that he put her in the friend zone and she knows that he is currently in a somewhat relationship... That does not stop her from trying to make him see that she is the one he should be with... She just wanted Jungle in her life any way that she can get him... But little by little it is getting harder and harder for her to remain in the friend zone... Not only does she have this crazy relationship with Jungle... She is also fighting to try and be a part of her daughters life... All of this is really taking a toll on her... Jungle is in Chelsea's corner helping her with all that she needs... He makes sure she has money to get her hair and nails done all the time and he is the one paying their rent... She just does not know that... But any thing she needs he has her... He even helped her get a job so she can make her own money... Again anything she wants he makes it happen... Well emotions are high and Chelsea can not take it anymore and decides to just walk away from Jungle... This is hard but for her mental it has to be done... But it is like no matter what she does she is always fighting for something... The way that Kaysyn and Seneca keep coming for her is really making me mad... Chelsea does not know what to do now that she walked away from Jungle... She decides to give a co worker a shot... But not sure that was the best decision... Things feel a little off to me... But then again he is super sweet to her when I did not expect that from him... He seems to actually like her... Jungle is loosing it without Chelsea... Little did he realize just how important Chelsea had become in his life... but he tries to push on and his anger is showing... But just when he could not take it anymore... He has his friend back... But just that quickly it is cut off again and he starts being petty... But little did they all know the big shock that was about to happen and how things were about to change dramatically for everyone... Emotions were at an all time high... Feelings were hurt... Hearts were trying to heal and people are getter mixed up in things they are not ready for... My heart was really going out to Chelsea... Then to see that the ones that we though had the strongest bond are being broken left and right... Relationships that we thought were solid are falling apart right before our eyes... Characters that I liked from their storyline are making me look at them sideways... Then the day of court... I was done... My mouth dropped and my feeling were all over the place... I was angry and hurt to the core for this and it made me think that Chelsea might need to start being petty... Well is this crew finally over all the attacks that they have been under from all directions? Is there more secrets that need to be revealed... Will these relationships survive all that just happened... Will Jungle and Chelsea finally get the happiness that they have been looking for? you will need to read to find this all out... Now to wait for the final Berotte series book on Rondo and what he has going on... Man I can only imagine what is going on with him with what all went down in this book... I know that it is going to be full of drama... and I can't wait...
I am a huge fan of the Berottes and while I mostly enjoyed the main family’s stories more than I have these more recent ones, I was kind of looking forward to Chelsea’s story of healing. I had quite a few issues with this book. First of all, Jungle to me was not giving grown man energy. At his big age, he didn’t know what he wanted and was playing games with Kennedy and then had the gumption to speak about Chelsea’s maturity multiple times across the book. Conversely, Chelsea, despite having multiple reasons to be emotionally stunted and immature, was considered, strategic, wise and thoughtful. I found Jungle kind of childish and reactive in a way that didn’t make him seem grown. The only positive with Jungle was the way he treated Chelsea in intimate situations.
The other issue I had related to the various plot ideas. As usual, this author is great a coming up with exciting plots, but the issue I had is that there were lots of ideas that started off strong and could have brought the drama but they kind of were lost or petered off midway. For example, the Kennedy plot seemed like it was going somewhere, then it was postponed to the next book. The Van plot could have been interesting to really understand why he was being the way he was and what it could lead him to do, but it kind of died early on in a way that made it seem like “what was the point?” Having finished the book, I’m still not sure if he ever really liked Chelsea or not. There were all these opportunities to develop a really strong, cohesive story and in the end, it kind of felt like we just got 2 dramatic scenes (where we discover what Kennedy is about, and where we discover why Kaysyn was pursuing the court case) and that was it. I don’t feel like we got to know the characters. And even where that has been the case in previous books, usually the ensemble cast of Berotte’s and associates carry the story. Here, I felt that magic was lost. I found it hard to believe that within that meddling outspoken family that is so interlinked and intermarried, no one stepped up to mediate the situation before it went out to court- not Mama and Papa Berotte, not Isaiah, not Shy, not even outspoken Alexyz… no one, no siblings, in-laws, bosses etc… they were just sitting and watching… it seemed very out of character.
The main reason I’m giving this 2 stars is for Chelsea and her coming of age. I think all things worked together for good for her in this story despite the mess she was subjected to. I was never convinced by Seneca and Kaysyn’s romance so no surprises there. I think this is a good time for this series to end and I look forward to Rondo’s story and hope it all ends on a high.
I loved me some Jungle like I knew I would and Monica didn't disappoint!!
He tried it but Chelsea wasnt giving up! Chelsea was the one he didn't see coming!
She was a little thirsty in the beginning but she saw what she wanted as she went for it. Shoot, I don't blame her.
From the way he loved up on his baby sis to the way that man took baby steps, creating a safe place (to coax the inner freak even he didn't see coming) from Chelsea, to how he embraced and took care of Manman & Chelsea "his friend" when they weren't his responsibility, moved me to no ends😍!!
Spoilers: . . . . . .
It took 3-4 books to build up Seneca from the messy playboy to the man who turned his life around for the woman who turned him out. The man who had Chads back when no-one expected him to. The team player and a Watchful Eye "am i my brothers keeper" Brother - BEFORE KAYSYN!!!. For what? To destroy his character??! What a waste! All, to redeem Kaysyn's character?
Talk about a stretch! It was all for nothing. It did not redeem her character. No matter what the writer says! If she was sooo uncomfortable with a stranger "looking at her kid" she should have said something.
Mean while Chelsea could and should have just given her her tail to kiss but didn't. Simply because it was never what she wanted. And she was always thinking of the kid first and foremost which Kaysyn wasn't. So miss me with the "We're going to be a family" Kaysyn because had the shoe been on the other foot the same courtesy would have not been offered.
The way yall just destroyed Seneca's character! SMDH!
The only semi redeeming feature was the fact that the men of Watchful Eye are all grown men and brothers. They saw things for what they were. That's family.
Jungle has always been that friend that pops in and plays from the sidelines, so to have his story finally told was just what I needed. I loved everything about Chelsea from the first meeting. She is honestly my favorite female character in this series (outside of Mama Nissa, of course). I wanted these two to get together in the previous book because their first interaction from Jericho’s POV was so sweet. However, seeing their first interaction from their POV was simply pure beauty. The way Jungle and Chelsea fulfilled and loved each other made this book gold. There were uphill battles, given both their pasts, but they understood each other and what they each needed, and that saw them through every hit they were forced to take. Now let’s get into this dialogue because, babbbby, I laughed so much reading this book and backed it up with smiles so wide my cheeks hurt. I love everything Monica Walters writes, but how she makes her characters so realistic is remarkable. In my mind, her characters are actual people I hang with, and the visuals she gives only add to this 😂 . Jungle was never bae material in my mind because lawwwwd knows I have my hands full with Ali and Shy, but I can get behind Mr. Milton; he had BDE leaking from his pores 😝 ! I love that Chelsea knew what it was on sight and got to experience all the happiness he was willing to give. After finishing Say You Love Me I wasn’t sure how this story would go, but I’m happy with the turnout, and now I can’t wait for Rondo’s book because I know it’s about to go down!!!
Family is not ALWAYS the ppl you share blood with, but the ppl you pick to surround yourself with!!!… Chelsea is a testament of forgiveness and finding a way to live life on her own terms!!!…I was so hurt for her, but the courage she displayed when it came to the relationship she wanted with her daughter and rather than being angry, she extended an olive branch to keep those that loved her daughter in her life!!!… As much as understood why Seneca did what he did, I could not respect him or the things he did to try and keep what he had!!!…Family that was NOT blood took him in and loved him without terms and he could not return the favor!!!… Jericho is a man about his family and friends and I love her although he put those brother paws on Seneca, he also gave him that brotherly hug that he needed too!!!… I love me some Jungle and I love the protective nature he had for those around him!!!… Isaiah is a man with a Big Ole Golden Heart!!!…I love how he supported everyone without anyone feeling like he was taking sides!!!… I’m so excited to see what is next for Rondo and see what becomes of Seneca!!!…
Chelsea and Jungle.... Wow, this book was hot and heavy and emotional. How do you get over being raped by your father and brother, even if they weren't biological. I probably would be in the crazy house by now. And then having your baby snatched away and given up for adoption by your brother without your consent. That was a lot of trauma. But then to turn around and meet the man of your dreams. Jungle is such a sweetheart to Chelsea. He was loving and tender and very understanding. Although he was trying to avoid her in the beginning, she weaved her way into his heart. Even after all Chelsea went through she still had a good heart. She was trying to avoid taking Jericka from Kaysyn entirely but they left her no choice but to go after her daughter after the way they treated her. Seneca got exactly what be deserved from Jericho with his backstabbing self. I wouldn't be surprised if Kaysyn didn't go back to him. He needs to learn a lesson. Awesome book.
I’ve been curious about Jungle for a while and now that I’ve experienced him—whew Chile. He was just what Chelsea needed and vice versa. Both had experienced their fair share of low moments, but one thing that couldn’t be denied was they way they made each other feel. I loved how Jungle wanted to be sure that he was ready for more before pursuing Chelsea. It showed that he respected Chelsea and his friendship with Jericho. I also loved how gentle he was with her even when she was behaving like a child. The situation with Seneca and Kaysyn left a bad taste in my mouth in Book 12, but Kaysyn had been redeemed. I’m glad Jericka will get to grow knowing her biological mom and her bonus mom loved her dearly! I really need Seneca to get together because he was dead wrong.
I can smell babies in the future for Jungle and Chelsea! I hope poor Rondo finds someone to love because his babymomma is TRASH!
I loved Jungle and Chelsea's story. They truly were meant for each other. They both were so afraid of being hurt. However, they didn't let that fear stop the love they had for each other and the friendship/relationship that developed between them. Jungle helped Chelsea grow and overcome her fears. Jungle was goner for Chelsea he just didn't realize how much until she had to put him on notice. (lol) Chelsea showed Jungle what true love really was. Also, I loved brotherhood and sisterhood the Berotte Family and Friends had. No matter what they went through they were there for each other. Even when one of them gets in their feelings and makes the mistake of shading them. They just called them out on their stuff and handled it like real men/ brothers. As always loved this whole series. Next is Rondo's story book 14 is the finale story in the Berotte Family Series. So sad to see it end but can't wait to see what Monica has in stored for us.
I knew from Jericho’s book who Jungle mystery woman was from the beginning SMH!
Jungle carried so many guilt in what happened to his family and it hurt so deeply. Love the connection he had with his sister Fawn! Ms. Lil Doe aka Fawn was a trip! It was great seeing him evolved, and came to terms with his guilt with the help of C-Mar.
This entire situation with Jericka broke my heart because it divided families and friends! First off this is the author’s vision but I would not have Jenetta be pregnant by you know who! That’s just too traumatic all around, and a constant reminder, but that lil lady was loved all around!
It was sad state of affairs that the brotherhood got fractured IMHO because all this could have been avoided! Even though we knew how Seneca was, he grew in his book, and loved his family. Even though we knew he have abandonment issues not knowing his dad due to the fault of his dad, but to read what happened to him, and how his character was portrayed, I was not a fan how all this played out! However, this is my humble opinion!
Of course there were twists, and turns and more drama unfolding!
Just when you think this series can’t get any better, Mrs. Walters brings us a storyline that says otherwise!! I’m not even mad about it!! 😂
This was another excellent story that brought out some taboo family issues that are typically hidden away in our culture! I loved how she addressed it and how Chelsea, Jungle and the family rallied around her!! No matter who the characters are, in the end, this entire series is about love and family and it has carried through all 13 stories!!
I know Book 14 is supposed to be the end and it will be bittersweet to have to say goodbye!! For me, this series could go on and on and never lose its essence!!
Monica, you deserve all the Accolades and Kudos for The Berotte Family and Friends!! I’m honored to have been able to partake of your amazing and awesome craft!! 💜💜💜
I'm so loving this series, and I enjoyed this one it pulled at my heartstrings a lot more emotionally I believe, and I thought the one before with Seneca & Kaysyn had that but it was pulled into this one as well. I'm not sure if they gonna make it but more on the HEA side Chelsea (Jenetta) & Jungle are great together Chelsea is a bit immature in some ways but that was something she had control of but she was smart, strong-willed, brave, and relentlessly got her man OKAY! CHELSEA!! And Jungle with his sexy ass was hesitant but couldn't resist the pull towards Chelsea I loved how he was with her because many men don't know how to deal with a woman who has been sexually assaulted but he did okay, okay let me stop I said enough but Jungle whew I need one of him in RL lol well can't wait to read the final Berotte story.
So Chelsea’s story is heartbreaking and Jungle finally admitted his feelings, embraced them and acted on them for Chelsea - yay! But I was more concerned with WTH was going to happen with the case for Jerika because it seemed Seneca and Kasyn were on some shady and disrespectful mess. Oh but we found out the truth in that situation and Seneca got everything he had coming to him. I really hope Kasyn finds happiness and love. I was also concerned with the plots against Jungle and Fawn. People won’t let stuff go and the scheming they were doing to get to them and get some money was scandalous. Jericho, his mama, jungle, fawn and Janetta need to be in counseling for all that they’ve been through. As always I enjoy getting updates on all of the characters in the series lives. Great read!
Although this was book 12 this was the first book I read in the series. I plan on going back to read the others now that I’ve finished this one. I loved Jungles personality and how caring he was for Chelsea but he was getting on my nerves in the beginning with Kennedy. I also didn’t know how I felt about the age difference between he and Chelsea 14 years is a lot and for him to be as thuggish at 44 mmmm I don’t. But I definitely liked his character. For Chelsea to have gone through what she did and still be as strong and determined as she is was commendable and for her to open her heart to Kayslyn after what they put her through showed lots of maturity. The only think I’d change about this book is all of the eye rolling from the men and Jungles age but other than that I enjoyed the story enough to want to know more about these group of characters.
Monica Walter's, great read. Man, oh man, this book had so many twists and turns and was full of emotion. Secrets came out that caused more hurt and emotional issues. I love Jungle he is so good. He is so loyal also. Chelsea finally has a chance to be the best she can be. Through all the hell she went through, Chelsea finally got her justice. I felt so bad for Kaysyn. She really got hurt by her other half. Seneca needs some help for real. He acts on emotion before he thinks. The brotherhood was threatened, and relationships were made in a good way. Some enemies are coming out of the woodwork, This was an excellent read. 🤗🤗🤨🤗🤗
Jungle is definitely the man!! Chelsea knew she wanted him the day she met him! He was respecting Jericho and making sure he could be with one woman. She kept walking away from their friendship and shutting him out because she wanted more. He couldn't handle that because she brought out a different side of him. Him trying not to be with Chelsea caused him to get involved with no good Kennedy. Oh the drama she brought in their lives, along with Chelsea's friend, Van. They had so much drama, including Seneca. It didn't stop them from properly falling in love. Jungle showed Chelsea how she should be loved unconditionally. She and Kaysen got close and learned to love Jericka together. This was an awesome book! Job well done, Monica!
This was an amazing story and I’m glad that Jungle finally gave into his feelings for Chelsea. Those two needed each other and helped each other heal in ways nobody else would have been able to. I was surprised by how involved Seneca was with this court hearing since I felt he had started redeeming himself when he showed Kaysyn another side to himself but this stunt showed that he hadn’t changed much. I hope they can work things out because while he was wrong in what he did, I don’t believe it wasn’t from a lack of love for Kaysyn or Jericka. Now I’m ready for this finale with Rondo to see who his leading lady will be and see what happens with that trash a*s Kennedy.
This had me on the edge of my seat the entire book. It was truly a page turner. I can’t wait to see will Kalsyn be able to forgive Seneca or not? That was some pretty messed up stuff he did. But I’m so happy he is getting help, our mental health is very important. I’m glad this book emphasizes that sometimes you have to go further than just a therapist but there’s a healthcare professional for your every need. I need Jungle and Chelsea to be ok and just Happy they have been through so much but I feel like there is more they have to deal with. Specifically, why did Jules leave Jericka in Texas and who else will be out to get Jungle from his past life? Only Book 14 will tell us and I can’t wait to find out….
