Review:
As many of you know I am a series addict. I read more in series than I do stand alone books and I think that is because if I truly connect and fall in love with the characters I want to see them over and over again.

After I finished Malcolm's book(practically read all night) I immediately dove into Royce's book and after another almost all-nighter (these books are so hard to put down), I found loved this one more than Malcolm's book.

My Character Synopsis:
Royce, a older Master determined to guard his heart and follow the code then walked in Allie bound and determined to save him from himself and show him that he can love again.

Allie is a healer never experienced love and had no plans too because she had to hide her ability from everyone except her closet friends that all changed when Royce leaped into her life.

Not to give anything away but this book brought tears to my eyes and there are some funny moments that will have you laughing out loud. For those who have read this book you know what scene I am talking about.

There was only one small problem I had and that was a part close to the end of the book.where I was slightly confused, there was alot of stuff going on at once and you really had to concentrate to what you were reading but other than that, it was a good fast read.

Would I Recommmend? Yes, Yes and OH Hell Yes! I can't wait to start Aidan's book which I will be diving into as soon as I am done writing this review. So if you love the tough don't get near my heart, stubborn Highlanders , Time Travel, Loads of hot smexy romance this book and series is for you.

My rating for this book is 5 out of 5 stars(very high 5)

Sometimes I expect too much from trashy romance, but this was an especially bad example. The main problem I have is that by page 10 of the book this woman is in love with a man she barely met, slept with numerous times and is obviously overwhelmed with his "Ralph Lauren" pillows than anything else! And she just so happens to not know how to be rejected, having always been coveted and chased after as a modern day heiress. uck. I'm sorry, but Allie was not a well developed character, and it really made me hate her throughout the whole book. Royce, however, was much more believable and enticing.

Oh my, what a whirlwind ride this romance has been.

Black Royce is all things dark and sexy, sensual heat drips from every pore. He is a very powerful Master, a warrior able to leap time and faced with the task of protecting innocence and mankind. Royce is the picture of control and one of the most powerful Masters of the brotherhood.
Royce has been sent into the future and face to face with his fate…

Executed perfectly. I enjoyed reading it; Joyce weaves the fabric of time over and over through different centuries in many parts of the book perfectly. It flowed and it was perfect. Great dialogue, great storyline and great interaction with the characters. I definitely felt some of the emotions like they leaped off the page. I was reminded of another similar series, the Highlander series by Karen Marie Moning. This series is like a mix of the TV show Charmed and the Highlander series. Recommended. 4/5 stars.

Book 2 in the Masters Of Time series sets the stage for the next three books as we are introduced to Allie Monroe's best girlfriends the Rose women, Brianna, Tabitha and Sam...
This book is the story of Royce, Malcolm of Dunrochs Uncle who we met in "Dark Seduction" book 1 of the series...
While I truly enjoyed the story of Malcolm in book 1, this story is so much better.. When the author put together her main characters the one she crafted for Royce so far has turned out to be the most compelling and complex of the Masters! I loved every twist and turn that led us closer and closer to understanding how and why Royce and Allie Munroe come to be entangled in each others lives. All their past secrets come to light one by one and weave a tale both enjoyable as well as emotionally wrenching at times... I look forward to continuing my journey through the past and present for all the characters that I have grown fond of and in the next book especially am anxious to read about Aidan, "The Wolf Of Awe"who is one of the sexiest medieval playboys ever written into a storyline! Follow me on the journey with this series, I guarantee that it is getting better as we go along!

This book starts with Royce who is a Master of Time. The Masters are guardians who protect innocents from evil, sometimes traveling through time to do so. Royce is from Scotland and is the grandson of a Gaelic goddess. He is from the 1400's and he time travels to modern day New York to protect Allie who is a Healer. Demons want Allie so they can use her to read from a magic healing book. To protect Allie, Royce takes her to with him to his home and leaves her with his future self. This book takes some great twists and turns, I found that I liked this one much better than the first Masters of Time book.

I look forward to reading the next Master of Time book. This is the second book out of five.

This my genre! I adore paranormal romance BUT this was in a word...unreadable. I got through the prologue and dived into chapter one with excitement. It was premature. With an alphabet soup of "agencies" and so many characters that are obviously the heroines of future titles I lost interest quickly. Right away I knew it was a dud for me. The heroine gabby a "Healer" opens the chapter standing nude in a window, current lover sleep as she senses an evil presence she gets dressed & races to the scene of a passion crime (don't ask) all the while sharing the orgasmic experience rme I won't go on. This was thankfully a library book. I won't be looking for any more of Ms. Joyce's work.

While DARK SEDUCTION held up better imho. I did enjoy the writing style and setting once again. It was not like treading the same ground even though the same formula was used. Similiar premise and, of course, another Masters of Time master. Overall the story was one worth reading, though it took some time getting through. Most of the story is set in 1400 Scottish highlands.

The second in the Masters of Time series from Brenda Joyce. I liked this installment better than the first, particularly because Black Royce was a more interesting character for me. The heroine, Allie, was just plain stupid, and like many of the chicks in romance novels, does just plain stupid things. Despite these drawbacks, I enjoyed this book.

Io no di certo!

Allie Monroe is a healer, living in New York City, modern day. When she then meets Black Royce, a Master and the most compelling man she has ever met. When he dies trying to save her life, she refuses to accept his death as fate. So she convinces his closest friend to take her back through time to save him. Only this Royce is far difference from the one she has fallen in love with in her time. Now time is running out for them both as they must face Royce's enemies together, and hope it doesn't cost them both their love and their lives!!Dark Rivals is the second in the Masters of Time series, and I just had such a fun time reading Royce's story. It starts with a tender love story which becomes very emotional when we see Royce being killed, however the story is only at the beginning. Brenda Joyce takes the reader on a thrilling adventure back through time and space, where two people discover that their love is magical and one that will last through the ages. A FANTASTIC READ!!!

I'm really liking this series just because the author gives the characters huge obstacles to overcome before putting them together. They have to work at it and even though they're all lusty for each other from the get go they're not thrown together sexually right out the door, emotions beyond that are involved.

The descriptions are a tad raunchy (I could have done without the whole "dripping down her thighs" lines that have been in EACH BOOK so far out of three.) But the story lines are solid and I haven't run into a huge historical descrepancies (everything seems realistic so far)

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for reading a good cheesy romance novel, but this book doesn't even achieve that. The characters are poorly drawn, and completely unbelievable. The female heroine seems to be gunning for saint hood, and the male lead has gone beyond dark and brooding and was more like a petulant child. The writing is overblown, and without the redeeming sense of humor and tongue and cheek feel that might have possibly gotten this book one more star from me. The plot is full of hackyned drama, and overblown action, and in the end I found I just didn't care about any of it.

okay... the students in the Freshman play gave me this book as a thank you for helping out and it is absolutely ridiculous. Which is why it is funny. RIDICULOUS. I can't say I actually "read" the thing, but I did skim it for the racy parts and got a good laugh. I'm thinking about sticking it on someone's car to pass it on... someone else deserves to get a chuckle. I'm not greedy.

This book was so good, I love the time travel aspects and them going to ancient scotland, but I loved this book because it was a constant battle between Allie & Royce when you knew they loved each other so much but he just wouldn't break. Then finally he did and they got their HEA, awwww so sweet. No really it was really good.

its a lot better than the first book. but just like the first i also dont like the female character here. they dont use their heads well and there are parts in the book where i just want to slap her and try to put sense into her. but the story is ok for me. except for allie being shallow and stupid.

(Explícito). Me esperaba algo mejor. Me sigue encantando Aidan. ...

Oh yeah. The series is definitely taking form. Past, present and future. This has it all.
This story revolves round Master Royce and Allie/Alios. A non forgiving burden is upon Royce which also hinders any emotions towards Allie, other than sex. So he thinks. This is a great Paranormal series. Will not divulge any spoiling as per my reviews. My only negative comment will be in the editing. There are so many errors but once you master the words, you are able to flow wth the story.
For Brend Joyce fans and Paranorml lovers, don’t let this series go by. You will love them.
