I'm still on my Amazon e-book kick, for my Kindle, so after giving the first installment of THE RUNNERS a try, I figured I may as well at least read the second one too. I mean, we actually didn't learn anything in the first story, which was pretty much a teaser to lure the reader in and keep them looking for answers. Problem is, we really didn't learn anything in the second story either, which is almost making me a little -- bored?

In book 1, we met Seventeen, who was advised to RUN after his family was kidnapped by mysterious strangers. He met a teen girl, named Fifteen, and together the duo set out to learn WHY they've really been running for all this time.

We pretty much learned that bad guys exist, but we don't know why these teens are running. Why divide this story into so many novels if you're not going to at least give enough information to keep the reader curious?

However, I hate starting a series without finishing it -- so I just may read on regardless.

As a second book, it was good, seeing as how some things are answered, but not all. I'm still as clueless as the characters in it. So the two kids running, Seventeeen and Fifteen, meet up with other 'runner' if you will (and how they got there you'll have to read on your own, since it's all too short to comment on here). This group of runners dont rememebr tehir names, so they make up a anme for themselves; Seventeen chooses Adam, and the girl he'd met up with, funny enought chose Eve. The ones chasing after them apparently messed with their memories, and that's why none can rememebr their name. The chasers have kidnapped Adam's little sister, and somehow he's got to rescue her and his family; onfortunately Adam's mom and Eve's dad were not so lucky as to just have been kidnapped. Let's see how book 3 goes.

Once again the writing was horrible but in a weird way I kind of liked it. These stories are way too short and could have been kept into one, but whatever.

Seventeen and Fifteen learn that in this safe house there is one Keeper, Felix, and two other runners, Nick and Twi. Their names were made up by themselves since none of them could remember their true name. Seventeen names himself Adam and Fifteen names herself Eve. Adam tries to figure out what is going on but he has no clue what to do or where to begin. His little sister and parents are being kept hostage and all he wants to do is get them back. Adam gets a phone call to talk to his little sister but he can’t even remember her name.

This story is beyond realistic but I am eager to find out what happens next. Thank god all these books were free!

This one was a bit more harder to read purely because of typos. Besides that, it was a good sequel. The one thing however that struck me as not making sense was the fact that Kappa tells them to go to the safe house when the safe house is to bring down Kappa. Hopefully this will come together in the next one. It still reads like a script a bit, but in that sense it was better than the first. There was the one part with Nick and Adam that i felt didn't need to be in the book. Overall, it was good for a short story.

I rathered part 1. But I really liked the ending on this one...it really shocks you, and makes you realize just how serious the masterminds of the game or whatever it is are. Will definitely read the next part to see how it ends. And I also thought the author did a great job with the part of them not remembering their names or even their families names...great stuff there!

Well it's getting more interesting now!
I like this short stories because you can read it in less than a hour. And in a few minutes it's full of action, suspense and intrigue.
It's a good sequel and the end leaves you wanting for more.
In this part it's posible to know a little more of what's going on so I hope it turns out for the good and the two characters evolves a little.

The sequel immediately picks up where the first story leaves off, with more mystery and suspense. Great story; I want to read more.

Again, this story is way too short. Typos to be expected. Storyline needs work.
