I personally dislike reading most non-fiction, self-help, sales books. That being said, this is a pretty solid book. Lots of practical advice to avoid being a scumbag salesman. The most practical and beneficial to me were setting a "No-Goal", distraction free "Golden hours", and setting up ways to motivate yourself towards good goals, and motivate away from low performance (essentially rewards and punishments). Dave Brown im sure is a decent guy but I admit I struggle with books that give off the impression of "look at me, look how wonderful I am, look at all the money I made, and you can do it too if you would just stop being a fat lazy dummy." Every chapter is filled with success stories from his own life that they quickly just blended into one big blob in my brain. But, again, I really don't care for these books on my best day so 3/5 stars is high praise. I would recommend this book to anybody starting a job in sales, especially take note of his sections that carefully go through how to set goals and expectations for yourself.

The idea is great, but the delivery is not really for me. It's like breaking down the sales script explaining everything you also learn in Southwestern when you go and sell books
