Born and bred in Sydney Australia, Kat T. Masen is a mother to four crazy boys and wife to one sane husband. Growing up in a generation where social media and fancy gadgets didn’t exist, she enjoyed reading from an early age and found herself immersed in these stories. After meeting friends on twitter who loved to read as much as she did, her passion to write began and the friendships continued on despite the distance. “I’m known to be crazy and humorous. Show me the most random picture of a dog in a wig and I’ll be laughing for days.”
I have to say I was disappointed by this book. Of course based on my personal hopes for how it would turn out but largely due to how the book felt rushed. I felt like the ending went from A to Z with so much detail left out of how they got there. For example, she was fighting with Beau, how were they fine at the end? And Alex was just fine with Hunter and now they are one big happy family? What about Alexa’s feelings for Beau? Are those just gone? The book was very short and to me felt like they were rushing to get it to market and skipped a lot of the story. For someone who waited months and would check the release date weekly to make sure it didn’t change I wish they had taken the extra time to make the book great. Still love her books and would recommend them to anyone but I am hoping if there’s another one one day she takes the time to make it good.

28/03/2023 The author listen to our reviews and decide to re-write the book and I can see how it’s been pressured her. I like this about her that she can take criticisms and tried to do better. I can now the story not much rushed however still fast paced closer to climax of story and the FMC feelings much more clear not over the place causing confusion, bonus points on re-connect with her best friends. This book become more enjoyable than before and surely I quite like it. As in the future I look forward MMC with less asshole attitude and no cheating trope. I’ve seen the cheating trope so much in her series and it just overdone atp because it all ways the same with MC being in miserable relationship then seek on others then throw unexpected baby or another angst that so much predictable. Another things, build up chemistry between main characters absolutely needed as I know people wouldn’t straight away fckng or in love if they never really knowing each other and keep lusting for physical only( this would be lust in love not falling in love). I gave 2 stars meaning it isn’t bad or good either. It based on the book plot( which I found still bit fast-paced on reconnecting with Hunter) and the characters personality. Honestly, others could give this book second chance the way Alexa did to Hunter 🤭.

This story truly could be one book not 2 part. Also, I like her other books maybe this was just not what I expected. I feel like it lacks build up and drama or tension. Anyways no grovelling no romantic thing also no angst. Hopefully next book will be alright. Still support you but I also give my honest review.
As predicted, Alexa became more mature & things between her & Hunter worked out as expected. I was really hoping for some twist but I guess predictability is better than a surprise.
Hunter was still blahhh but overall, the storyline was fine. Poor Beau. He was really cute & kind to Alexa while she was pregnant, all to be kicked to the curb. But then again, it was nice that he was there for her. Now let’s see how his story ends in book 3.

I have never given a one star review to a book that I have given a five star to the first book of the same story. Normally I respect the Authors hard work and I don’t give a low review. Unfortunately this book was such a disappointment. Reading it have left me frustrated and furious. I was wondering the whole time why why why does she had to write a second book. The story was small, rushed and completely unnecessary. The book could have been great if the love interest changed and it had the potential to be great. This book was a similar to Millie’s and Wills story and the I love you and all the get together again was so rushed that I was not feeling it. Also the story line with Beau was not necessary because at the end he did not confess his love he did not try to get with her and she had feelings for him as well got jealous had the best se***** of her life but at the end she stayed with Hunter. Lexs and Charlotte book was amazing and the ones followed were good as well. This one for me was a disappointment and I can’t believe I have waited months to read it.

I love Alexas story. I'm so glad she ended up with who she did... without giving away spoilers! If you're planning to start reading this before any of Kats other books, stop now and go find Chasing Love, there are 2 whole series to read before starting this one!!
My reason for 4 stars is I wish it had been longer... I feel like there needed to be a little more at the end before things became 'normal life' for her. But otherwise, it would have been 5 stars!!
Alexa’s story was not exactly what I was expecting but I loved it all same. I have enjoyed all of this series and the previous ones. I feel so invested in these characters and feel like they are part of our family. Kat has created an amazing world, I mean who doesn’t want to be in this friends group. Although I had hoped it would have gone a different way, I’m glad it ended the way it did. I feel the guy who ended up with Alexa was the perfect choice. He redeemed himself and I loved the man he turned into. Great job Kat. Looking forward to the next one with bated breath.
Such a let down and disappointed with the choices she made with the characters. I would give zero stars but unfortunately you have to give one 🙄. I extremely recommend don’t waste your time reading this BS.
The one thing you want most is the one thing you can't have. Not when you're dealing with a man like Lex Edwards.
Hunter has come to accept Alexa no longer being in his life, as much as it pains him. He knows it was only short-term, and it was for the best.
Alexa is now at college, but a pregnancy scare almost changes that; however she must deal with Beau's feelings around this, even though its a false alarm, she is sure they will get past this.
Alexa spreads her wings, spending time with Beau, hitting the town, living the high life, yet one moment, one decision, one choice changes there long-standing friendship.
But that all changes when she ends up in the hospital due to a medical emergency, and that is when she receives life changing news - she's pregnant, this then changes their dynamics of their friendship.
Alexa comes to terms with her situation, what she went through before, she knows she won't have the capacity to endure it a second time, she makes the decision to keep the baby.
When Alexa breaks the news to Charlotte and Lex, one overjoyed and one at a loss for words, but something Alexa says has Lex springing into action. Being the family man that he is, he won't let his daughter do this alone.
Amelia, Ava, and Addison are very surprised that their father took the news of Alexa's pregnancy well, but they are all happy for their sister.
Alexa has a smooth pregnancy. She is determined to move forward with college, not allowing her pregnancy to deter her, and it is her hope that she has Beau by her side.
What was supposed to be a happy trip visiting her friend turns into an emergency, Alexa reaches out to her father knowing he will help her and he does, helping her to bring her son into the world.
Lex is in awe of his daughter, but her situation brings back painful memories of a time he almost lost Charlotte when she was pregnant with Ava, but they are blessed in so many ways, there guardian watching over them.
Alexa comes to a decision. She must tell Hunter of their son Elijah, as he has a right to know that he is a father. It doesn't go exactly as planned, and it leaves Hunter in a state of shock.
Alexa and Hunter learn to navigate co-parenting. It is hard. With the support of Alexa's family, does she make this work.
This doesn't bode well for Kathy, now that Hunter's priorities have changed does he relinquish control of assest as stipulated by his grandfather, which includes the business he built from the ground up, but all of that means nothing if he can't have Alexa and Elijah in his life.
But that all changes when Lex makes him an offer he can't refuse, having bought his business, he tells Hunter to remain at the helm, but he'll be silent partner. Hunter finally accepts his situation for what it his, as he now finally has everything he wishes for.
Hunter is now truly part of the Edwards family as he joins every male in the family for an all male camping bonding trip. Only one can image how well that will go down.
Alexa and Beau work towards healing their friendship and understands it will take time for her to heal with April.
Highly recommend both the author and the book, now onto book 3 - Craving Her.
Kat T. Masen delivers a delightful romp through the tangled web of love and friendship in her "Secret Love Series," featuring the charm-filled "Craving Love" and its equally captivating sequel, "Craving Us." These books are like that perfect slice of chocolate cake: indulgent, a little messy, and guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
In "Craving Love," we meet our heroine, who finds herself in the not-so-simple predicament of falling for her best friend, while also juggling the demands of an alluring billionaire—who is her boss, to boot! Talk about a love triangle thicker than a triple fudge brownie! The chemistry is undeniably electric, and there’s something endlessly entertaining about watching her navigate the pitfalls of friendship and romance with a side of raised eyebrows.
However, let's address the big, sparkly elephant in the room: the billionaire trope. While we often expect a billionaire to flaunt their wealth like a peacock in a carnival, this chap seems more like a cautious squirrel trying to save up for winter. Instead of showering our heroine with lavish gifts and extravagant dates, his primary concern is about potentially losing his fortune. Seriously, if you're going to throw a wrench in my fantasy of billionaire romances, at least throw in a yacht party or a helicopter ride! It felt a bit like ordering a fancy cocktail and getting a cup of club soda instead. Refreshing, but where’s the pizzazz?
The sequel, "Craving Us," picks up the romantic roller coaster, with our protagonist grappling with her feelings towards both her best friend and her billionaire boss. Trust me, trying to keep up with her tangled affections is like trying to untwist a pair of earbuds after they’ve been in your pocket for an hour. The emotional depth grows, and while our heroine dives into the realm of vulnerability, it often feels like she’s just trying to dodge flying arrows from both love interests.
While "Craving Love" is cute and fun, and keeps the spice rolling, I found myself wishing for more of that classic billionaire allure we’ve all come to kind of expect—who doesn’t love a little luxurious drama with their romance? So, while Masen’s writing and character dynamics are engaging, my inner romantic still felt a bit starved for the glamorous moments that usually come with the territory.
To sum it up, Kat T. Masen’s "Secret Love Series" is a charming dive into the messiness of love, layered with humor and emotional realizations. Perfect for those who enjoy romantic comedies with a sprinkle of tension, but for die-hard fans of the billionaire trope, you may find yourself craving just a little more sparkle. Grab your popcorn, settle in, and enjoy this cute read, just don’t expect a diamond-studded dog collar on the side.
Craving Love and Craving Us - The secret love series -
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️
We absolutely love Kat’s book and this is no different. We know there was a few issues with book 2 but still definitely worth a read and we are so glad Kat took the time and listened to what people said and made changes for the better ❤️ it just gave book 2 a bit more closure ready for the next one.
This book is about Alexandra Edward’s the last of the daughters and in book one she’s just can’t take anymore of her dad Lex Edward’s so she decides to go and work for his rival Hunter cash. She’s done playing by my father’s rules. Lex Edwards may rule the business world, but he no longer gets to control her. What she shouldn’t have done is sleep with the enemy.
This book keeps you hooked as it’s a who will she choose between her best friend beau and hunter as she also starts to develop feelings towards beau.
Beau Romano was always the annoying boy who teased me when we were kids... But we’re not kids anymore.
This book will have you hooked because you just want to know who she chooses but there’s also some twists as well.
Now bring on book 3 because I can’t wait to see what happens with these 2.
If you don’t want spoilers then don’t look at who book 3 is about 👍🏼
Happy reading

💵 Billionaire Romance 👩❤️👨 Age Gap 🥰 Second Chance
This is a second book of the Dark Love series. It is a continuation of Alexandra (Alexa) and Hunter. In order for Hunter to keep his business and his inheritance he needed to be married and have an heir by a certain date. He is married but it was a marriage of convenience. Alexa knew this and Hunter convinced her that his marriage meant nothing to him. She started having an affair with Hunter. She didn’t know about him having a heir in order to keep his company. He is also a business arch rival of Alexa’s dad. She was working for Hunter and when she found out that he was after some of her dad’s businesses she kinda freaked out on Hunter and told him to leave her alone. She left California and went to NYU to go to college. While there she started hanging out her best friend Beau. Beau started having feeling for Alexa but she didn’t return those same feelings. How is Alexa going handle her feeling she has for Hunter? Will Beau convince her that he was the better person? I read this book in February and I loved it. There are people that thought the book was too rushed (I didn’t see) so Kat took the suggestion and added to it. What was added only enchanted the book. I love all of Kat’s books. They are so amazingly written. You can feel the chemistry with all of her characters in are of her books. I can’t wait for the next book as the little snippet we got has me drooling for more!!
I read the first book with Alexa and Hunter. They had this forbidden affair. She was young he was married to someone else for convenience. Their passion was off the charts. You definitely have to read the first book to understand the second. This is my second time reading Craving Us. I liked the first book edit just as much as I liked the second with the additional content. This book is about growth more so for Alexa than for Hunter. I like that we see how Alexa’s life changes in the blink of an eye and a surprise pregnancy. She learns so much about herself, her family, and friendship. Some may think it’s rushed but if you put both books together this is her story where she needed to grow up. I love how Kat gave us more detail on Alexa. We needed to see her growth from the first book where she was so young and lost. I believe many people can relate to this book and Alexa’s character. Can’t wait for Kat’s book with Beau and April.
I love Alexas story. I'm so glad she ended up with who she did... without giving away spoilers! If you're planning to start reading this before any of Kats other books, stop now and go find Chasing Love, there are 2 whole series to read before starting this one!!
If you follow Kat, you'll know that this is actually the second version of this story. Kat removed the original version to make some adjustments after the feedback she received. She was definitely right to do this!! The changes that were made makes the story feel complete now.
I absolutely love Kat's work, her writing is amazing. I cannot wait for the next story 😍
Alexa is a HORRIBLE girlfriend to Cole, A HORRIFIC daughter to Lex and Charlie, a TERRIBLE friend to April, an AWFUL woman to Kathy, a DISGUSTING “bestie” to Beau, and honestly the “story” of her and Hunter is sooooo not even described in this book, that it wasn’t even a story about love. More about a spoiled brat of a human being whom just does whatever she feels is best for her at the time and has no consideration for anyone else’s feelings, friendships, or family. She’s the worst character I have ever read about, and I am so glad she is fictional. She deserves no one in her life at all to support her.
Read both this version and the previous version the first day they came out. I really liked the additional detail that was included the second time around and I think it adds much more to the book. I think it was hard for me to separate my feelings about version one from version two but I think had I read version 2 without ever reading one it would be 5 stars. I’m the end, still not a fan of who she ended up with but I think it was very well written and a great story. Can’t believe I have to wait until July for her next book!!
This is book two in this series of a larger group. It’s the Alexander Edwards family. This is the second book for Alexandra. In book one we find out that she is pregnant. Alexandra has just started NYU for her degree so that she can practice medicine. The lead males are Hunter (the baby daddy) and Beau (the best friend). The choice that Hunter made at the end was a bit unbelievable because Alexandra had agreed to marry him. All did end well for the couple. Read On!
LOVED Alex's story! Perfect amount of angst and spice but do feel she came off immature at times ( which I guess is a given since she was very young). I do feel like the series could have been 3 book. There was so much and so many opportunities for Sub stories or more detail. I think 3 books would be perfect and give the author an opportunity to fill in the gaps.
Cant wait to read Beau's stoey next. Now, when we need Nash, Willow, Luna and Sienna's stories! Maybe a Cruz story too?
At first I really couldn’t stand Alexa but as I have continued to read through Kat’s books, she has really grown on me during this book.
I thought she really redeemed herself and grew up to be this beautiful and mature woman that doesn’t take no for an answer and does her best for her. She no longer blames anyone for her mistakes & you can really see the character development she had.
Also, I love that Lex has been a solid rock for her. Boy has he come a long way from Amelia’s era. 😂
I liked the ending.. or is was it really the end?? 😅
I was a bit reluctant about this book after reading some reviews however, I LOVED it! I truly love Alexa & Hunter’s love story and without giving spoilers it was a perfect ending. Alexa’s friendship with Beau is caring & sweet with a touch of funny sarcasm. I’m so excited to read the next chapter of this series! Another great read from Kat T Mason. I simply love these series that started with Lex & Charlie ❤️🔥.
I love Kats book, and have been glued to the entire series starting with Lex and Charlotte. I did enjoy this book, yet I think this and the first of the second chance book should have been just one long book. I also feel there should have been more to Hunters side of the story too. However it's still a great read! And look forward to Beau getting his second shot at love
I was at times alternately frustrated and dismayed with Alexa, Beau, & Hunter, but it was worth every angsty moment. Their story is one of the best in this ongoing saga, tied with Amelia, Will, & Austin's story for most engaging, steamy, & fun love triangle and second only to the original Charlie, Lex, & Julian triangle that started it all. Can't wait to read CRAVING HER next!
I definitely enjoyed both books equally the same i didn’t really like Beau that much so that kind of lowered my rating. But one thing I really did enjoy was Alexa and her dad‘s relationship and. I really loved how they fixed their relationship in this book. Alexa and Hunter definitely have really good chemistry. My only problem with them in this book is that you didn’t get any scenes with Hunter until like 60-70% into the book.
Kat has done it again. I love her series and how they all incorporate the same characters. It makes her books feel like you’re part of the family and getting to see them all grow. The spice isn’t over powering but yet still enough. The age gap and love triangles are perfect. I will never not recommend her books.
I had been looking forward to reading this since reading the first book at the end of last year. I couldn’t put the first book down, & while I enjoyed this one, I felt like it was rushed in some places. I didn’t care for the love triangle aspect but overall I did like the book. I really love Kat’s writing so I feel like she can do no wrong lol
