Case Closed: The Cobain Murder: The Killing And Cover Up of Kurt Cobain

Rate this book
In the last two decades since his first bestselling book on the mysterious circumstances surrounding music icon Kurt Cobain's death, #1 NY Times bestselling author/award-winning investigative journalist Ian Halperin has never stopped investigating the case. This new book will provide the definitive verdict on what really happened in April 1994, when the voice of a generation was snuffed out.
Drawing on tons of new forensic evidence and police reports obtained under the Freedom of Information Act -- this explosive book proves without a shadow of doubt that Kurt Cobain did not take his own life.
Halperin has conducted more than a 25-year crusade for the truth, and in this riveting book he presents a stunning, convincing argument that Cobain's widow Courtney Love herself used her influence and connections to suppress police evidence from being made public as part of an almost three-decade long cover up. In this new installment, Halperin uncovers explosive new evidence suggesting that Cobain was not only the victim of foul play but that the Seattle Police Department deliberately covered up evidence proving that they had botched the investigation by declaring Cobain's death an "open and shut case of suicide" less than an hour after his body was found.

super short

I wouldn’t have purchased had I know this was basically only a few pages long. It was more just accusations towards Courtney and hearsay, nothing concrete.

Really nothing new, having read all of the books on Cobains “suicide” I can 100% tell you there’s no new information in any of them.

Disappointing read

I read this in approximately 15 minutes. It's a strangely poorly edited summary of previous material; a little embarrassing frankly (the typos!). The book, if you can call it that, had the look and feel of something between an amateur pamphlet and a teenage homemade fanzine. I thought it was going to be a supplemental to the previous book, but it wasn't; in fact, it would seem to diminish the author's creditability on the case with its amateurishness. I don't think CL is quaking in her boots over this one.

Nothing new. Save your money, skip it, and read Love and Death instead.
