But I do have a bounty of wild animals that come to visit. There’s even a resident nuthatch that talks to itself (constantly)! And there *are* currently seven chickens in the henhouse…

Length: 64 pages
Plot: Mika is meeting with her dead best friend's brother in order to fulfill her best friend's final wishes. It turns out that her best friend would like to help her get rid of her virginity and maybe find some love along the way. Mika has had a crush on Tanner for a while now, and it turns out that he might just find her a worthy partner also.
Commentary: I couldn't quite figure out if Tanner already knew who Mika was or if it was a case of instalove when she showed up at the office. If he already knew her or of her, I wish that would have been more clear.
Cute, no angst, swift resolution.

Mika became best friends with Caitlyn on the first day of their college experience. The girls are roommates, they share everything, or so she thought. Soon after meeting, Caitlyn, Mika, finds out, Caitlyn has a heart condition. Considering the severity of the situation, what more could be revealed after news like that? However, Mika has news of her own. She may not be the normal college student either, as in not one to date and do the party scene. However, she does have a deep-abiding love for the billionaire, Tanner Finley which she reads about in the magazines.
While she goes on about a man who is, all but a dream, Caitlyn regales her with fun, and heartwarming stories of her and her brother, Dan. You see, Dan is fifteen years older than, Caitlyn, but you would never know it. They talk regularly, go to their vacation home often, and meet as often as their work allows. The one activity that is all theirs alone is fishing at their lake house. They are both extremely rotten at it. But, it helps bridge their age gap and you don't notice her illness.
Upon her death, she gets a call a year after, Caitlyn’s death from, Dan saying that his sister has left something for her. Can she please come, to his office and give her name to the receptionist? Mika does go in, and surprise surprise, when she is allowed, to enter the office. The man sitting there, at the desk is not... Let’s just say there is a letter left that explains it, almost. But, basically she wants, the two of them together. So, Mika’s mission is, to seduce him. Which puts her into a panic because she, is a virgin.
When Tanner reads the letter he is worried that Mika feels discussed by what, Caitlyn is asking of her until the part in the letter where it says she had been crushing on him for years. He would never have looked at such a young woman had she been out at an event or bar. But seeing her sitting there before him blushing, he can see the naive beauty that she is. Especially, now that she accidentally handed over the letter for him, to read in her shock. He asks her, to go with him, to the lake house, to try and fulfill the thirty-day requirement she read about, in the letter. Guess what, she’s game.
This is a very sweet story, with a loving magical side to it. One that gave you the faith, to continue and to move forward, in their honor. Short and sweet.

The writing style itself is great. Mika is a believable character, and I understand her motivations. From the outset, Tanner is determined to marry Mika. It never makes sense. I have no reason for his motivations, and honestly was expecting him to also be a virgin (the motivation of marrying and each being the other’s “only one” or something) but he was not, which makes sense with his age and status. It feels a bit like his sister wanted him with Mika and so he just said “okay, this one!” And that is his whole reasoning.
There is some spice, which was welcome! The characters have wonderful chemistry. It was a good short story, I was simply left wanting a bit more. Why was Tanner set on marrying Mika? Was it purely because of his sister? Was it love at first sight? I just wanted more internal dialogue from him, which would have made it more believable.
That all said, the writing style is wonderful, and I enjoyed the characters. This was a fast read with a good spicy scene, and it had an HEA, no cheating, no abuse of power, enthusiastic consent, and likable characters.

The idea to leave tasks people have to do after you pass is honestly the BEST idea I’ve ever heard. Then to base a story all around that. Even better.
And Caitlyn was AWESOME!!! She totally pegged her brother and her best friend. Her “tasks” or rather gifts were great. I liked how she was part of their story. They’re meet cute. And lots after.
Mika was very much a shy or rather awkward young woman. It affected her ability to just take what she wanted. She couldn’t rely on her thoughts she felt from reading a room or person. So she needed things spelled out. I get that.
Tanner was great for Mika. He was a total home body as well. And he didn’t want artificial. He was taken with Mika from the start. It was fun knowing his thoughts on how to “help” Mika accomplish her “task” yet doing so by telling her what to do.
Thought they were great together. Wanted more. And can’t wait for the next one.

Mila, the female lead, had a crush on magazine featured business guru and just found out that he is her now deceased best friend’s brother. Tanner, the male lead, is the executor of his sister’s will and is undertaking her last request. He’s shocked to find that Mika is supposed to seduce him but he’s definitely not unwilling!
This short story is dual POV, well written, and a funny, sexy, sweet contemporary romance. I empathised with Mika’s shyness and reticence and appreciated Tanner’s commitment to allowing her to make choices and direct the speed of their relationship. I also appreciated that he clearly stated his longterm desires upfront. I enjoyed Mika’s burgeoning confidence. I enjoyed their intimate scenes and the sweet steaminess of their encounters, as well as the ending.

Devious matchmakers indeed. Mika's college roommate knew she was dying from a congenital heart condition even at school. She left Mika a sealed letter ordering Mika to seduce her brother, the billionaire, who is fifteen years older than the roommates but apparently always did like Mika. After that's done they find another letter telling them to have seven children and give them names whose initials spell out her name.
Romances are fantasies but it was hard to suspend disbelief in this plot. The sex scene is detailed enough to attract nasty things to your computer. I can't say I "REally liked it," but women who like to laugh over their marital aids might.

First time I’ve read anything by this author and I loved it! Quirky, funny, OTT and totally bonkers. Caitlin has passed away and left her brother Tanner, and her BF Mika a challenge. Mika has to seduce Tanner!! The whole concept of this book is so OTT and so much fun. I cannot wait for more. Kept me smiling throughout.

This book is a matchmaking last request by Caitlin who is the deceased sister of Tanner and best friend of Mika. Caitlin had left tasks to be completed by Mika and Tanner and the last one was for them to be together. Their story was an enjoyable read which turned a major loss into a romantic happy ever after.

I think the plot is a good idea. I think with more chapters, more build up of the story between Mika and Tanner.
Their chemistry could’ve been more explored because I think they make a great couple even with their age gap.

This was a super emotional read. It starts with the loss of Mika’s best friend and Tanner’s sister. She brought these two together and I loved reading how their relationship develops. I loved the story... it was fun and easy to read... with a fast paced flow that was easy to follow without feeling rushed. Tanner and Mika have been brought together because their friend/sister just knew they were meant to be together. They have great chemistry and incredibly sweet moments! I loved it!.

Absolutely loved Mika and Tanner's story. They're brought together after the death of a loved one, Mika's best friend and Tanner's sister. Mika gets given a task and 6 weeks to achieve it. There's plenty of fun, laughter, passion and more throughout. Enjoy!.

Me gustó la dulzura y lo travieso de la historia, pero hay un age-gap implícito muy grande y un insta-love muy importante.

Short and Sweet
That was just a fun and quick romp that was so insta-everything, you just have to go with the flow. Also-it was surprisingly heartwarming? Or perhaps a little bittersweet? The whole sister that died kind of gave me the feels a few times either way. Overall, it was fun and short and a good pallet cleanser.

Truly Devious
Caitlyn passed and left behind a series of tasks to be completed by her brother Tanner. When he gets to the one involving her best friend Mika both their worlds are turned upside down in the best way possible. It’s fast and fun to watch them fall in love. The ending is the best final twist ever and you’ll seriously want to read the bonus epilogue too.

Such interesting names: Tanner and Mika. I absotively posolutely love the fact that Tanner accepts Caitlyn's request quickly and with great enthusiasm. He's planning a wedding before they've even declared their love for one another and it's THE SWEETEST!!!

It was ok....
Quick read, read thru because it was so short but I also think that hurt the story somewhat... it was rushed in my humble opinion or im used to longer reads. Im going to read the next book in series to give it another try.
