Insatiable Hunger

Rate this book
It was only supposed to be one night.

I was never meant to see him again.

One unforgettable night and one nameless face changed everything.

He’s wealthy.

He’s powerful.

And he’s married… to my mother.

Staying away is impossible, and secrets and lies have become second nature.

He’s crawled under my skin, an energy larger than life, refusing to be ignored as he bends me to his will. And now, I’m so far gone, I’m willing to do whatever it takes to keep him close, collateral damage be damned.

*Insatiable Hunger is book three in the Hidden Affairs standalone MM series. This book features a relationship of forbidden nature, and has a significant age-gap.

He and I, we can never be anything more than fleeting memories and stolen moments in the dark.

I considered giving it 3 stars because, somehow, I was glued to this book today, intrigued and couldn’t put it down. And it was also hot and filthy as fuck…

The book immediately starts with a hot, smoldering sex scene between strangers —one a guest (Zeke) at this luxurious event, the other one one of the dancers (Elias).

A few years later Zeke and Elias find themselves in a surprising situation. Elias back from college and Zeke now married to Elias’ mother.

Zeke is suddenly going crazy with jealousy and possessiveness when Elias starts dating (fucking) one of his employees.

Objectively speaking, this could’ve been totally my thing. But it was, however, not. There was just too much not working for me. And especially towards the end this whole story did so even less.

…so, in the end I’m only giving it two stars because for the life of me I couldn’t form an emotional connection to the characters at all. They just left me feeling… indifferent. I could see their attraction to each other, sure, and they possibly had chemistry but really, that they were in love? Nope. Couldn’t see it. Didn’t feel it.

This book also lost points with me bc of the unaddressed barebacking between the mcs. (even as total strangers)

This was my first by Ashley James but I don’t think her books are for me.

First of all, I can’t deny the hotness of reading this book 🥵 it wasss HAWT!

I liked the trope, the premise was catchy and I was really looking forward to enjoy it. I do think the writing is easy to read, typical Ashley James, however I didn’t like the story that much, also typical Ashley James.

This Zeke dude. The stepdad. One moment he’s this angry, possesive, and obsessive man, and then he’s this quiet and unpredictable man. I don’t understand his character, including what he thinks of Elias and his vision on things as the stepfather. He had some rough backstory, but the introduction of his character was meh and blurry. And ofc, the backstory was explained later when it hit the 70% mark which was okay I guess.

I also didn’t like their relationship other than sex because that was pretty much it. They only had strong sexual connection and nothing else.

Although the writing was easy in helping me finish the book, the plot was boring, most of it was told in circles, same thing happen again and again, not much of a build up or twists. The plot tried to fall into a deeper emotional level at the 70% mark, however, it was somehow disconnected to what they had before and I couldn’t feel attached to the plotline and characters altogether. It was definitely a plot device that did nothing, only change the pace. Lack of feelings, depth, and details overall. Tbh, I predicted it, because I know this is the kind of Ashley James’ writing that I am not a fond of. Not only a sensitive topic was the plot device, but the lack of emotions threw me off.

If you want sexy dirty talk and sex between stepdad that is so controlling over his stepson then you get just that.

Insatiable Hunger is an angsty forbidden romance between a stepfather, Zeke, and his stepson, Elias. Elias and Zeke have an intense connection after an anonymous hookup four years prior. Now they are forced to live together after Elias's graduation. Through their forced cohabitation they both struggle to keep things platonic. Their lingering feelings for one another create such a fantastic mess.

I really enjoyed the possessiveness Zeke conveyed. He is immensely jealous and primal in his need to own his desire for Elias. Elias does nothing to stop Zeke's advances and together they play such a risky game that will eventually cause catastrophic results.

Zeke is a complicated man who has a traumatic backstory making him hesitant in pursuing any legitimate relationships. His surprise at the intensity of his attraction to Elias really drives the story. I enjoyed how obvious their attraction was for one another, even when they tried resisting for so long, but eventually, their feelings won out.

Overall this is such a great read that is both steamy and heartfelt. Elias and Zeke have an uphill battle, which leads to great angst-filled moments.

this was the dumbest series i've ever read in life. truly, i have no idea why i have such an issue with it because none of them are particularly bad but they just seem so mind numbingly stupid i was irritated enough to DNF this one at 86%. didn't even care about the ending anymore and the only reason i started this series was to read this one.

waste. of. time.

Ezekiel is like 49 or something. it's a pretty significant age gap of 26 years between him and his wife Valerie's son, Elias. Zeke's first encounter with Eli is before he knew he was Val's son. they fuck, he dips, they don't see each other until a year or so later when being introduced through Val. neither of them says a fucking word about it. cue eye roll. Eli was the roommate of two main characters from the previous books, Camden and Bodhi. when he graduates from college, mommy beckons him home so he moves in with her and his new stepdad. after having successfully avoided each other for the most part over the last two years, as soon as they're under the same roof, both seem to lose their grip on reality and jump into a very physically charged relationship. the only guilt they feel is for not feeling guilty at all. make that make sense. delulu-ville, okay?

the pair are antagonistic af towards one another. Ezekiel has a whole ass wife and is still possessive as hell over Eli, willing to cross all manner of boundaries just to assert himself over the guy. this becomes especially aggressive when Eli starts unknowingly hooking up with one of Zeke's employees. when he finds out who he's getting freaky with, he doesn't stop, and rightfully so, but full disclosure: there are at least 3 or 4 scenes with things getting steamy between Eli and Jordan, the employee. normally i hate everything about that, but i couldn't stand Zeke in any capacity at that point and he well deserved having to see Eli prance around with his little fwb since he's, you know, fucking married.

but then, and i have no idea why on earth the author thought this was good storyline progression, we find out that dun dun dunnnn... the marriage isn't even real. like maybe i saw this coming, but it was so fucking weird in the set up that it just... made me mad? this book was so disjointed with random flashbacks all over the place in no chronological order, that there's not much revelation in Zeke's personality or circumstances until much later in the book. like well beyond the halfway mark. and even when i got to it, i was so confused about why none of it was talked about earlier on.

Zeke has a sister, Elena, who has battled cancer multiple times. on what they believed to be her death bed, she made Zeke promise to find love and get married and have a family. nothing like good old emotional manipulation from a dying person to create the plot device we all love: miscommunication. Eli's mom is A Poor and as she starts building a friendship with Zeke, she confides in him her financial worries. Zeke is a big richy rich and so he decides they can scratch each other's back by getting married. his sister sees him with a bride and he pads up home girl's bank account so she doesn't become homeless trying to put her kid through school. of course we don't get to find any of that out beyond some very vague hints, until 70% in.

that's all well and good (not really but fuck it, we ball) except no one says anything? at no point does Zeke clue Eli into this, instead letting him suffer under the guilt of not feeling guilty for smashing uglies with his mom's man. neither Zeke nor Eli tell mommy dearest that they got real up close and personal more than once before rings were exchanged. mom was too much of a coward to inform her son she was essentially bankrupt and was in an arranged marriage that was mutually beneficial for her and Zeke, supposed best friends. (quite honestly seeing them refer to each other as best friends at their big old age was so wild to me it jarred me out of the story the couple times it happened like who says it like that lmao) normally i'd get where mom is coming from, but Eli was making good money as a cam boy and dancer. she was under the impression he was a social media influencer, but it doesn't change the fact that he put himself through school and was obviously taking care of himself.

anyway, by the time the truth comes out, i know my thoughts were all over my face while i was reading cos i was like huh?! it just didn't make any fucking sense brooo i was so weak. surely there's an easier way to do a stepfather trope, be for real. it was so bizarre. i can't even tell you how many times i had to stifle a gag at Eli referring to Zeke as "stepdaddy." it wasn't nearly as often as i full body cringed whenever Zeke said, "my little slut." all we needed was the corny porn background music and we'd have all the makings of a cheap sex tape that would probably still make more sense than this fucking book.

i'm ranting and i know it but i just have to say one final thing: i do not understand the mom's reaction to finding out about the affair whatsoever. that was ultimately the reason for me immediately clicking out and coming here to have a bitch fit. she knew Zeke was gay. they had never slept together. Eli is a grown ass man. she was sleeping with her tennis instructor. i'm honestly shocked that she wasn't expecting her GAY SON to be a temptation for her GAY HUSBAND and vice versa, when there weren't any feelings even involved to begin with. she put hands on Zeke and then had an emotional outburst guilt trip throw down on Eli and it just begged the question— why the fuck did she care?

i'm not even gonna keep on cos it's already 1 in the morning and i refuse to waste another second thinking about this let down of a series. thanks, i hate it.

our mc is getting screwed by his hot possessive step-dad while his mother is sleeping down the hallway? vile and disgusting... but automatic 5 stars from me. ashley james is the goat if she really put tension and intensity in her books. this book was frustratingly delicious.

The third and final installment of Hidden Affairs series features a forbidden romance between Elias and his stepdad Zeke.

He and I, we can never be anything more than fleeting memories and stolen moments in the dark. No matter how much I wish it could be different.

While this was super hot and spicy, it didn’t really work for me on any other level. Their relationship felt more physical than anything, no real emotional connection came through. In other words, it didn’t give my heart those nice flutters I want to get when reading a romance.

Side note: I need more spanish dirty talk in my life, because let’s be honest this would be more of a 2.5 if it weren’t for the papi.

Why is every time I am trying to recover from an Ashley James book, she brings out one that is even more gut-wrenchingly beautiful to destroy me some more! I was intrigued by Elias's story since Brazen Affairs and to say it did not disappoint would be an understatement. The possessiveness was so fine, it definitely added to the angst, all the dominance! The whole situation was done so well by the author and I wouldn't have changed any part of it. It left me feeling all sorts of emotions and pain reading it, as Ashley James always manages, but it almost had a different feel about it, in the best way possible. I couldn't put it down at all and stayed up late reading because I could not get enough of Zeke and Elias! Overall this is going to be one of my favourite reads and I cannot wait for more from the author!

- age gap (26 years)

- cheating
- forced proximity
- degradation/praise kink

While working as a dancer at a party for the elite in the Keys, Elias spends a brief but very hot moment with an older man. Fast forward a few years, and the man who has starred in all his dirtiest fantasies since that night is now his stepfather. Fate is such a sick bitch!

Now that Elias has moved back home after graduating at his mother's request, he cannot escape Zeke or the memories of that night even though he tries his hardest. The pair are drawn to each other like magnets, and their chemistry is off the charts. I swear to god that shower scene will live rent free in my head forever 🥵

Elias & Zeke’s story is a little angsty, a whole lot forbidden, and everything I had hoped it would be. This is the perfect conclusion to the Hidden Affairs, and hands down my favorite of the series.

I don't know what to say to this. Poor Val. She was betrayed by her son and her husband. They both behaved like sexual maniacs without self-control and without any feel for responsibility.
I did not think that it was cute that Zeke ignored every no Elias said.
The sex scenes were written like really bad porn scenes. I'm all out of words actually.

Mixed feelings about this one. I liked Elias from previous book, but on this one he acted extremely immature. Zeke’s character was hot, sexy cuban with an accent? Yes please! The shower scene? Oh lord! So hot!
If you struggle with miscommunication, do not read this, it was very frustrating.

So, I must be a glutton for punishment because I came back to this. It still took me much longer than a book of this length should have, but I plodded on for the SOLE purpose of being front and center when the wife/mother found out. So, having now read this to the end, I can emphatically say that this is...easy top 5...one of the WORST books I've ever read. Just terrible. And, before you think I'm a prude, I'm a Daddy kink connoisseur. I've read Daddy kinks of all types, including step dad. That is not the problem here. What IS the problem...well, let's list the numerous ones:

1) Zeke is a complete and utter A-hole. I mean there is just no redeeming him. I guess his growly, bossy, possessiveness is supposed to be Alpha-like, but he just comes across a deranged psycho. He is extremely selfish and treats Elias like crap, which would have bothered me except:

2) Elias is also a complete and utter A-hole, so he and Zeke deserve each other. Like, seriously, how do you write a book where the characters are just unlikeable?? Elias is a whiny, "We know this is wrong, why am I the only one who knows this is wrongg??' idiot, who keeps doing the same thing over and over, while having the exact same complaints post coitus. Exhausting.

3) The plot has so many holes it's ridiculous. In the beginning, we're left with the impression that Zeke and Elias met (and had sex) before Zeke and Elias's mom got together, but have avoided each other and speaking about it since then (for 3 years while he was away at school). But then we're hit with all these flashbacks of them repeatedly doing sexy stuff in the years since (including at the wedding rehearsal dinner!) Excuse me?! The character's introspections do not redeem them at all. I'm not sure if it was supposed to make us empathize with them but it didn't work. Next plot hole, Zeke and the wife/mother grew to be best friends, but he'd never met her son, or even seen a picture of him before marrying her??

4) Every time I thought this book couldn't get worse, the author said, 'hold my beer.' Not only were these two reprehensible fools doing what they did behind the wife/mom's back, and not super concerned about it as much as they pretended to 'worry', the part that I was holding out for...THE REVEAL...went well in terms of the wife's reactions...but then!..she was good to go in 3 months, . Ma'am, what?? Now, you're their biggest cheerleader??? But!! - yes! There's more! LOL - before we even got to that bit of foolishness, the author tries to somehow justify the nonsense/soften the blow with some revelations about the marriage. Lazy and predictable, and an insulting cop out. I literally could not believe editors were like yes, this is great. Oh, oh! ANNNND we get a totally ridiculous 'dilemma solving' missive from Zeke's sister to help absolve him from being the utter piece of crap that he is. Yay!!

I don't know why this went so wrong. I have read books that feature these exact same elements and they didn't raise my hackles like this. Actually, I know why. In other books, the characters weren't unlikeable, and you never actually MEET the wife/mother. Plus, usually, the characters at least TRY to resist, not just pretend to. And no, I don't want to hear about Elias moving out. He'd already pissed me off by then.

1 star and that was just for the sex scenes, outside of Zeke actually speaking, because him calling Elias his little slut was just cringe. Again, something that is usually sexy. And no, the epilogue didn't raise the rating. Too much foolishness had already happened.

--------------------------
DNF @ 26%. I'm bored to tears. Zeke comes off as an entirely creepy, toxic stepdad, not sexy and forbidden. The whole thing just feels laboring and plodding. Just no.

This was almost the taboo, filthy, truly forbidden romance of my dreams, but it fell apart for me toward the end. The premise is that Elias meets and fucks a sexy stranger as a college student, has the best sex of his life and then, to his horror, meets this stranger again years later - as his mother's fiancé, Zeke. The pull is still there for both of them, and what ensues is a genuinely filthy stepdad/stepson affair that neither of them try very hard to fight. I was into it. Zeke was daddy af, and Elias's bratty nature just made the whole thing delicious and sordid. However, this is a romance, so of course the author has to find a way to make the whole thing palatable and almost justifiable. Instead of just letting them be bad people (which they clearly are) and letting us have our guilty pleasure, James does all this moral gymnastics to explain why, in the end, what they did was actually okay. Yes, there's some fallout, but in the end everyone gets to have their cake and eat it. It was so stupid and unrealistic, and the logic does not hold up to scrutiny. Again, I understand that she has to cater to her audience, but just once I would like to read a taboo romance where actions have consequences.

Ashley always manages to write characters that have insane chemistry together and this book is no different... 🔥🔥

You’re hit with a mega-dose of steam from the very first chapter, guaranteed to make your heart race and your temperature rise... 🔥🥵🌶️♨️

Wasn’t all that convinced that Zeke and Elias actually did try their best to stay away from each other – especially from Zeke’s side - but this author has such a mesmerising writing style that you can’t help but be captivated from beginning to end.

Deep and intense characters that really draw you in and convinces you that you need their HEA just as badly as they do.

Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommended... 💙🥰💙

I've been waiting for this story since i read illicit desires and HOT DAMN!!!
I knew it would have been freaking amazing and i was right🔥🔥🔥🔥

Daddy Zeke doesn't play around 😏 and he has his hands full with how bratty Elias is 😂🔥😌😁

I have to say i'm not ecstatic about some of Elias' choices, even tho i understand why he did it.

I wanted to slap him, and Zeke too because Man!!! open your mouth and tell the freaking truth 😤😤

You can tell they drove me crazy... but in the best way 😍

There is just one thing i missed: more glimpses of vulnerability, of tenderness and sweetness between the two of them...

Definitely another masterpiece by Ashley James!!

Wow! This is the first book I’ve read in this series (but not by this author) and I absolutely loved it! I really didn’t know what to expect with this book but after reading the dedication I knew I was in for a treat! And I was right!!

Zeke and Elias were 🔥🔥🔥!! I can’t even with them! There was so much to their dynamic, some I loved and some that I didn’t but it was 100% consensual so to each their own! I really had no clue for most of this book how they were going to get their HEA. It seemed completely doomed from the start and took a long time for the clouds to part but they did and the last line of this book hit me hard. It was beautiful!

There was an insane amount of cameos in this book from other books by this author! Katie (Elias’ cousin) is Knox’s best friend Katie! It was so neat to see all the characters play a small part in the story but not overwhelming at all. This can absolutely be read as a standalone with no confusion.

The book is from both MCs POVs and goes back and forth in time. The author did a great job with that and I had no issues following along. I would say this is not your typical romance book. There’s another man for a bit and the one MC is married to the other MCs mother so it’s not free of angst. But I loved it. I do like how the author dealt with the breakdown of the marriage.

I absolutely recommend this book and hope to find time to read book 1 and 2 in this series as well. Ashley James is an awesome writer and I look forward to reading more of her stories!

Sadly Insatiable hunger didn’t connect with me.
I felt that all we saw between Elias and Zeke was sex and passion but not really any true connection or love which was a real shame as if there was I definitely would have rated the book higher.

Don’t get me wrong I didn’t hate reading it and there were some nice parts such as at Elenas funeral where Zeke and Elias shared a sweet moment together as well as the epilogue where we saw they had adopted a baby daughter, however these moments were few and far between.

Also I expected Bodhi to at least be involved in the book a tiny amount even just a small appearance but he was only mentioned twice from what I recall.

I don't dabble in "taboo" very often, but this was recommended as really steamy and possessive and caught me after my latest read so I decided to give it a shot.

This is one of those books that, for me, had the formula to be something great. There's an age gap, a little daddy kink, some spanking, a dash of praise, possessiveness, and enough push and pull to keep it from being boring. If you like all these things, this book might really resonate with you.

However, I didn't love it. All those boxes it could have ticked felt just off center. And some of it's purely personal preference. I like praise and a little humiliation, but didn't like the way it was executed. I love daddy kink, especially with an age gap, but this didn't delve into it more than using the honorific so it felt empty.

This felt more like a lust story than a forbidden love story. I was never sold on more than their chemistry. They didn't spend enough time together doing anything more than what felt like hate f*cking to ever convince me that their sneaking and the potential explosion of relationships was worth it.

Just Zeke being incredibly bossy and annoyed all the time and calling Elias a brat, while Elias actually tried to do the right thing and stay away for the sake of his mother. I love possessive and dominant characters when done right, but Zeke just felt toxic.

Overall, yes it was steamy, though not quite the steam I enjoy. But for a story that was trying to be a kinky, forbidden love story, I just never fell in love with it.

"He feels so good. And it’s so wrong."

Insatiable Hunger is is book three in the Hidden Affairs standalone MM series by Ashley James. Whilst it can totally be read as a standalone, there are brief cameos in this one from the author's previous books and series, so your reading experience is enhanced if you've read all her previous work.

This is Elias and Zeke's story, so strap in because it's gonna be a bumpy ride! Elias is a sex worker and Zeke is a highly successful, financially secure, married business man. And did I mention that Zeke is married to Elias' mum and there's a 26 year age gap between Elias and Zeke....

Tropes:

🌶️age gap
🌶️forbidden
🌶️stepfather/stepson
🌶️cheating
🌶️forced proximity
🌶️degradation/praise k!nk
🌶️all the steam
🌶️HEA

Be aware of the author's notes as there are some red flags in the tropes, but rest assured we do get our HEA for the MCs.

"He’s my kryptonite… but I knew that from the start. In no universe would I have ever been able to turn him down or resist him."

Been waiting so long for Elias story and whilst I was expecting it to be a hit ride, I was not expecting Zeke to be such a deep character.

The prologue of their meeting is one of my fave parts of the book as Ashley really throws you into that melting hot chemistry and that was amazing.

You get twists and turns of emotional angst, you get steamy yummy times and you get a relationship that actually turns out so much sweeter and intense than you think it would.

Ashley really has pulled out all the angles if telling a story in this, she spends time building the characters and who they are. You really do connect with them.

Elias story is one that I've been looking forward to since Brazen Affairs. His and Zeke's story was every bit as spicy as I imagined it to be, and then some! I couldn't put it down. There was a lot more to this stepdad/stepson romance though. Zeke is a force to reckoned but he definitely met his match with Elias.

I enjoyed this book more than the previous one, but still not as much as the first.

Zeke and Elias meet at an exclusive party during spring break, and share a night of passion. Sometime later, Zeke is introduced to Elias as his new stepdad, but it seems even that isn’t enough to keep them away from each other.

Zeke and Elias had great sexual chemistry, and I really liked the Dominant/submissive roles they took on together. The ‘daddy’ kink was really not to my liking, but otherwise their relationship was pretty hot. However… just like the previous book in the series, there didn’t seem to be anything between them beyond sex, and I wasn’t feeling any kind of emotional connection. The huge age gap was never addressed either, which seemed weird.

To be perfectly honest, I thought Elias had better romantic chemistry with Jordan, and I was secretly rooting for them instead (even knowing that it wouldn’t go in my favour). Jordan and Elias actually seemed to actually click on a deeper level than just the physical, unlike with Zeke (and Jordan just sounded so damn cute too).

So overall, it was another entertaining steamy read, but it lacked substance and feeling. Given the premise, I would have expected the stakes to be higher, but it didn’t feel as taboo as it should have because the characters weren’t developed enough.

Hunger pains and baby stains

Elias has a crazy family life that was very difficult early on as his mother tried to cover for the absent father by working three jobs to barely scrape by. Getting a partial scholarship to Duke helped, but he had to work hard on social media to make enough to cover the rest of the expenses. Working at special parties helped, but meeting his future father in law for a good time before he married his mother was a real shock, but the connection that they made only got stronger after college graduation.

Dating a young employee who worked for his father in law's business and other rumors about working their too created some lies that created challenges for everyone.

Elias' mother missed the signs for years, but dug deeper once she realized how much had happened that she did not know about and the lies to cover up made her investigate more of the situation.

But once the lies were exposed and the reasons understood, the results were good for everyone.

okay i have a bit of mixed feelings about this book because i really did enjoy it but at the same time i got so annoyed with the two MCs too lmao. Zeke is the epitome of being an overbearing asshole but my goodness, he loves hard. this book was HOT like the steam was steaming. i kinda got emotional at the end because Zeke and Ellias did have such a rocky rollercoaster to get their HEA.

Insatiable Hunger by Ashley James is book 3 in the Hidden Affairs series.

Damn, this book was steamy! Elias and his stepdaddy Zeke burned everything in their path. I love that each book in the series had a really different vibe. In this one, the two words that come to mind to describe the atmosphere are uncomfortable and sexy.

Stepson/Stepfather is the trope I now want to read more of. Zeke and Elias's relationship was deliciously forbidden, and Ashley took great pleasure in reminding us of this throughout the book. Infidelity and the guilt that comes with it for both MCs was central to the plot. At times, I wanted to jump out of my skin, it was so unsettling to witness all this...and at the same time, I wanted more and more of this push and pull.

Zeke's possessiveness towards Elias was intense and sometimes even extreme. It was really hot. But what really pushed the smut to another level for me was the dirty talk and degradation of which Zeke was a true master. The daddy kink was present, but just like in Storm Clouds and Devastation, it was really light.

I loved reconnecting with Katie and remembering what a great character she is. I'm so ready to finally get her full story with Enzo and Weston. Stop teasing us Ashley! I was also excited to reunite, albeit very briefly, with some of my favorite characters from The Deepest Desires series.

It was a more than satisfying end to the series. Ashley writes age gap to perfection and I really hope this is a trope she explores again in the future.

The Hidden Affairs series comes to an end with Elias and Zeke, and what an end to the series it is!! Ashley held nothing back with this one!!

We get back in touch with Elias in this book—and he is brattier than ever!! My goodness I absolutely adore him!! Elias does not make it easy on Zeke, his stepdad🙃. Elias will make you laugh, cry, and just feel everything; he’s a character that deserves all of the love!

Ohhhhh and then there’s Daddy Zeke!!! This. Man. He is the epitome of a strict, over the top, overbearing, asshole. That being said, he is everything that Elias needs and MORE!! These two clash together head on from the beginning and they fight one another through to the end!

There’s a LOT that happens in this one, a lot that is going to surprise you—Ashley wrote all that happens to these guys SO well! Her characters stayed consistent, she gave us glimpses of some of our favorite characters (hello Katie!), and ended this series perfectly!! There are SO many scenes in this book I will never recover from; so many shocking moments that left my jaw dropping, and it filled me with so much love because of the journey that Elias and Zeke go on together!!

You will NOT want to miss out on this one!! If you don’t go meet Daddy Zeke and his brat of a stepson, Elias, RIGHT NOW, you’re doing yourself a disservice!

“He and I, we can never be anything more than fleeting memories and stolen moments in the dark. No matter how much I wish it could be different.”

This book is sinfully delicious! Elias is a camboy/dancer who hooks up with an anonymous hot older guy at a private party. Imagine his surprise when a few years later he comes home to meet his new stepdad, Zeke, and it’s the same guy 😱

They are constantly fighting their attraction to each other but living under the same roof proves difficult.

“These types of things never work out, though, do they? You don’t sleep with your mom’s husband and end up with the guy. It’s not how shit works. This isn’t the movies; some screwed up fairytale.”

You would think Elias moving out would make things better but it just kicks Zeke’s possessive nature into overdrive. I ate this up! Angsty, kinky, forbidden - I couldn’t put it down! There is obviously an element of cheating in this, but it’s not exactly what it seems so I’d still recommend even if cheating isn’t your thing.

I received an advanced copy for review - all opinions are my own.
