Not my cup of tea
Rush is suppose to be this kingpin and just messing with his ex.
His ex set him up and they took all his drug and money in his house.
Now he is broke and jumping from house to house. The author had this man giggling in this book so many times and that was a complete turnoff.
Heaven, Karen and Winter are best friend but they have different outlooks on life. Karen is sleeping around from man to man but caught feeling for Christian. Winter is leaving her best life sleeping around too. Heaven is running behind her "best friend " Ethan because they have been sleeping. Ethan is still in love with Renni but messing with Heaven but don't want anyone to know.
Heaven is all depress because Ethan played in her face again and ran into Rush. Karen become pregnant with Christian baby and went to tell him and Winter is sleeping with him too and also pregnant.
They fight! We don't know if they loss the baby or not.
Rush got his revenge and went to the trap and robbed them. He did not kill them or nothing..
What kind of king pin are you? These people just robbed you and tried to kill you.
Rush and Heaven get engaged and find out she pregnant.
First time read this author:there so many unfinished storylines, a lot of jumping around, errors in the book.

Not good
The title and the blurb had me thinking the book was going to be completely different from what I got! Heaven was for real deal on one, like How you mad a sneaky link acting like a sneaky link?? I mean yes Ethan was very doggish, because they were supposedly friends for years. So even if he didn’t care for her in that way he should have treated her with more care for the sake of the friendship he claims he cherished with her. He did make it clear the were just friends with benefits, but he also was being toxic af. Sex does not change that. Then, Karen never told the girls about Christian in fact she was kind of going out her way to make it seem they weren’t a thing. I know they said that everyone knew even if no one spoke on it, but I feel like her reaction might have been a bit much… but playing devils advocate I know Karen did confide in winter about having feelings fear her sneaky link, so Winter was being messy. To be honest, this book had potential to be goo af, but it’s like the story got too caught up on aspects that should’ve been minuscule. On top of all that, the MCs didn’t actually get together until dang near the end, so their relationship didn’t feel organic or real… their relationship gives off rebound energy TBH. I wouldn’t recommend this book

You Never Know What You Had Until It's Gone
Lashae Love, good read. Heaven was your typical BBW that some folk took that as a weakness never trying to get past the looks. Heaven was loyal, trusting, and loving. She thought her love was mirrored when she started loving herself. Her life took on a different road.
Finally, understanding her worth, God sent her an angel and finding out friends aren't really friends. Karen was always there for her. R. C helped Heaven with the direction her life was taking, and he proved to her that it was alright to let go and give love a chance. Well done

Ummm....
This is my first book by this author and it left a lot to be desired...This book felt rushed and there were a lot of grammatical errors. I found myself having to read sentences over and over again to try and make sense of what was being said. Also the fight between Winter and Karen was a little disappointing. Ethan was a joke. Not sure if I will try another one by this author.

Great start but not a great end.
I feel like this book was rushed and there quite a few grammatical errors. A chapter was mislabeled causing confusion on who was narrating. Also, Rush’s character was said to giggle a few times. He’s suppose to be a street guy and he’s giggling. I don’t buy it. Lastly if he’s suppose to be something special in the streets how did one robbery make him homeless. Doesn’t make sense.

A good read that is well written with well developed characters. The title of this book describes the story within. Being in love with a users and finally seeing them for what they were led to some true happiness. The story has a great message that a lot of women need to learn.

Hmmmmmm
I was so excited to read this that maybe I hyped it up... or something but it moves slow and the the end is rushed into the last 8%... it so much not needed details repeated emotions and actions that is got boring...I loved the friendship of Karen and Heaven but that's about it.

ended abruptly
Not bad reading. Loved that heaven and rush got together, it just ended so abruptly. For example, they found out they are pregnant, he will go out on the street for her. The end. Needed a little epilogue with all the main characters in the book to draw it to a close.
