Loved this book, brilliant read.
I didn't want it to end Eve has a wonderful way with her writing to draw you in and get invested with the characters and their story.
I feel there was soo much more to Penny's and Colton's story that needs to be told and about the winters pack.
Here's hoping there will be another book with these characters.
Highly recommend any of Eve Bale books , I honestly cannot pick a favourite book I think I have one then I read her new one.

This is a sweet story, that had some high moments. The cake related bits were sort of funny, and Penny’s killer aim with mouthwash and claws.
But overall, Colton was a super generic dude who wasn’t fleshed out. Like… he really just drives around town all day to kill time. What does Penny do for a living? All the seems to do is bake cakes constantly, but not for sale or anything.
No mates get rejected in this book. Penny’s boyfriend of one month breaks up with her, and Colton was rejected by his mate at some unspecified point in the past, and for unspecified reasons.

Penny is a hypocrite
Penny's boyfriend breaks up with her in a grocery store. That same day she meets Colton, who she tries her hardest to be nosy about his life. The hypocrisy is Penny admits to be nosy but doesn't want anyone to ask about her break up, but finds it ok to meddle in his life regardless of his feelings or potential dangers.

I just cannot
With Karen. I don’t think her “curiosity “ was cute, funny, interesting…nothing. Heck, she annoyed the crap out of me as supporting cast in the last book. I have met women like this…pre 2020 when the world learned what I’ve always known to be a “Karen.” Uuggghhh such a gross character. I think I got thru less than 28% of the book. I’m good on trash.

I strongly dislike the single pov, specifically since we had double pov in the previous book. We know practically nothing about Colton and the whole book was not very "mates". We've learned almost nothing about the mate that rejected him. And what happens if she was a true mate and she is already with MMC?

Great ending to an excellent series
I fell in love with all of the character. Each love story had it's own drama. Many life lessons are hidden in the stories.
