I'm a bit disappointed. I really loved the series but now I feel like the same story keeps repeating but with different characters

I just love cozy mysteries, especially those taking place in Twilight Hollow, the small town where Addie and her witch family live, and where she runs her Toasty Bean cafe, where the goods are baked with a touch of magic. However this time around Addie has to leave her cafe and go on a trip to Seattle with Spooky her familiar of course, and with Nicholas. They have been invited by the Ministry of Hunters in order to help out with some murders which have taken place, however Addie is worried since these hunters are witch hunters. Were they travelling into the lion's den? Her family were not happy that she had accepted to go, and when she found out who had recommended they get her help she was even more unsure. But it was too late to back out as they were soon up to their necks in charms, hexes and more murders, and Addie had given her word to the ghost Sandy that she would get to the bottom of these murders to find out who had killed her. This 7th mystery case is quite complicated, and leaves the reader wondering who was behind the murders till the very end. I really enjoyed the excitement, even though at times I was terrified for Addie's life. Spooky does a real good job as a spy and these books would not be the same without him!

Well I am up to date now, book 8 is not available until october. I really enjoyed getting this far, the series improved by the book and left me hooked.
So now Adelaide is torn between two new different boyfriends, should she choose Nicholas who is perfect for her or Logan whom she has feelings for still? Decisions, decisions. Logan would have to embrace and unbind his magic I think and I don't think with his job he would want to do that.
In the meantime, she gets her hands on an important book, one that still has her enemies gunning for her and while Atticus is not around, she is not any safer for it. She makes new friends and some of the old enemies are still popping up repeatedly. Great stuff.

This installment was way more intense than the others! You have Addy, Nicholas, Maggie and Spooky setting off to a new city to figure out a mystery. You’ll see Addy and Nicholas getting closer but it turns out to be complicated considering she’s still complicated with Logan. A new love triangle has emerged and all I want to know is…why can’t Logan pull his head out the clouds and secure his relationship with Addy? Is he really going to outlast Max only to lose to Nicholas? I look forward to reading this next book!

I really enjoyed learning more about the mysterious Ministry of Witch Hunters. I am not sure if I think they are as good at protecting the mundane world as they think they are, but most seem to habe their hearts in the right place. On Addy's personal life, I am still rooting for her and Logan. I do, however, find Nicholas an intriguing option.
