I just think I know how to have fun. But when the new bar I work at is robbed and I have to testify, even I have to admit it’s a little scary.
Oath Harrison is one of the usuals at my new place of employment and also the district attorney handling the case. His dimpled smile pulls me in, but it’s the way he looks at me that haunts me. His touch that makes it impossible for me to adjourn and get some rest. Especially when it leaves me wondering what it would be like to serve him more than a drink.
We’re opposites in every way. Wanting more with a man so testi-fine would be asking for heartbreak when I don’t even believe in love.
But when I’m under oath, there is no way I can lie about how I feel. I just hope once the case is closed and the prosecution rests, my heart will still be safe.
Fernie finds herself under Oath in more ways than one and there is no better place to be! A growly, possessive, Alpha who wants to worship you, protect you, care for you and love you...what more can you ask for? A flirty and fun read on Kindle Unlimited.

Trigger warnings Violence on females
Fernie moved to Vegas from LA. She's a bartender and not looking to settle down like her other sisters. Oath is a DA and a regular at her bar for the last 3 weeks. He's also trying his hardest to get her to go on a date with him. She has plans no one knows about, not even her family that she is close with. She gets hurt at work, and he is done waiting to let her know she belongs to him. Can he convince the woman who doesn't want love to love him?
The blurb says the bar she works at got robbed, but that's not the story in the book. There was a bar fight that she broke up when a drunk customer assaulted another woman. The trial scene was awesome. Completely unbelievable, but awesome.
Fast and short read. Oath (36) met Fernie (23) in a bar where she's working as a bartender. Something clicked in place when he saw her. He started going to the bar for 4 months and eventually asked her every night to have dinner with him. But Fernie doesn't believe in love and she knew agreeing to Oath is looking for trouble because he's different from the guys she used to hook-up.
But when a bar fight happened and Fernie got attacked. Oath stepped up and helped her heal. Showing her that he could be the man she needs and how they can be good together. Fernie finally let her guard down and let Oath in, realizing that she loves him.
It was short and sweet, less than 150+ pages but it has a good plot and story flow. With minimal drama and likeable characters.
A male main character with an unique name, sign me up. Oath was such a patient man when it came to winning the woman of his dreams, Fernanda. Fernanda didn't believe in any kind of love and fought her feelings for Oath. But when I tell you how that man played attention to "his woman." He played attention and their first date was top tier because of the attention he played her. The relationship grew from there. I'm glad Fernie didn't lose out on love.
Oath is smitten with Fernanda. He hangs out at the bar she works in, trying to get her to go out with him, but she denies him.
Fernanda feels something different about Oath. He seems to be caring. He's attentive and extremely sexy!
After an attack, Oath steps in to care for her and that tips the scale in his favor. She's fallen in love. Will she give in to her feelings for him or continue battling against him and herself?
I am a hugh fan of Ms. Statham's books but please get a human proof reader. There is no excuse for "discrete" instead of " discreet " and "ma" instead of "me". You are a talented writer and seeing these type of mistakes are disheartening and unnecessary. I noticed a pattern over the last few books I read and I wanted to make my concerns known. These type of mistakes make a 5 star book into a 4 star one.
I absolutely love the newest book in the Courting Curves series. Mayra is one of my all-time favorite authors, and she always gives us the greatest characters and original stories. This book gives us Oath an attorney who has his eye set on Fernie, a bartender who is trying to grow, I adore their perfect ending and always want more from this awesome author.
What a fun, feisty, feel good story. Trying to get her education, and working hard as a bartender, she is trying to show her family that she can do better and succeed at it, make something better, start a business. Along the way, meet someone who has caught her eye, but feels like he is way better than she is, but he is determined. Beautiful story, loved it.❤️
The series has generally been cute, sweet even. This time the MFC had a “high body count”(and was excited about it-even though it never played into the story) didn’t believe in love and had no depth. The MMC was flat beyond his “privilege”. Finished as it takes less than an hour to read but 0 chance I’ll pick up anything from this author.
This was the first Mayra Statham book I had read. I really enjoyed it. Good storyline and great characters. Oath & Fernni are made for each other. Both not looking for love, but found it in each other. Great HEA.
Loved Fernanda and Oath. She doesn't believe in love and he knows she's the one for him. Loved seeing how Oath gradually was able to get her to open up and believe in him.
