I sat on this review overnight because I wasn't sure if my mood affected my enjoyment of this book or if the book itself really dragged for me and ultimately, I think it was a combo but more-so the book. It took days for me to finish what I would normally have probably read in a day, two max. I can't put my finger on what had me struggling to focus on this story though. The H and h are both likable and have interesting stories. They're not riveting, but there's a charm to them. The side characters were hilarious and I liked how the author has clearly written some of their romances previously, while she's also setting up future tales to tell. The mystery over what was happening on the movie set was entertaining. It may be that the book lacked the right note of tension.
The chemistry between the H and h wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst either and there were steamy scenes that were good. I do wish that the H's past exploits hadn't been brought up quite so much, he didn't do relationships and while his history wasn't explicitly detailed, it was mentioned multiple times how he'd been previously (though he hadn't been with anyone for a bit). I also liked that he was wealthy but insecure and struggling with his identity after the shock of learning how evil his parents were and trying to separate himself. The h was also very true to herself and I loved how she also defended the life she'd chosen. Both of them also loved helping others, which was sweet, and they were genuinely supportive of each other.
The climax and resolution of the mystery was interesting and I liked the bit of fierceness the H got to exhibit, as well as another side character. The ending is HFN and cute with a lead-in to the next book which seems a bit angstier since those side characters are attracted to each other but that h will be fighting against that H hard. I kind of wonder if this author just isn't quite the right fit for me, but I do think others may enjoy that this was mostly lower angst with lots of humor and cuteness. It had a small town feel since it takes place near Asheville, NC, which isn't a huge city, though it is a popular one.

I LOVED the characters in You're So Extra, from Delia and Lucas--our main characters--to the well-developed secondary characters.
Delia is a delight! She's a woman who knows who she is and makes no apologies for it. In the past, men have tried to change her, from her colorful clothing to her unusual jobs--plural--and she's done putting up with that. Accept her as she is or not at all.
Lucas is a man who is trying to figure out who he is if he's not living in his controlling parent's shadow. All he's ever known is money and privilege and he wants to distance himself from it and his parents' recently tarnished reputation. He's intrigued by Delia-even before he sees her true colorful self.
There's a bit of a mystery going on (which I absolutely loved) as well as self-discovery, and of course, a beautiful love story--not just for the couple, but as Lucas learns to love himself.

Delia is a freaking cupcake! I love her so so much! Lucas has that steamy dreamy but mystery going on about him. I feel like I read so many stories in this one because the other characters were so well written and developed! Must read more by this author!!

After meeting Lucas in Drew's book I was extremely excited to learn that he would be getting his own book. You're So Extra follows on from the previous series and sees Lucas navigating his life after becoming a whistle-blower against his own parent's company.
He agrees to be an extra in a movie alongside his friend Leonard and this is where he meets Delia for this first time.
Delia is an absolute breath of fresh air, and I adore her to pieces. She's obsessed with colour and glitter and mermaids. Her bubbly personality is just the right thing to change Lucas' perspective on life and I love how she brings him out of his shell.
This book had some wonderful humour in it and I especially enjoyed the banter between Constance and Leonard. Constance is an older lady that they meet as a fellow extra and she is also Shauna's grandmother. Her own personal love life woes add to the humour.
I loved getting to know Lucas in this book and his pairing with Delia was perfect. I'm excited for Leonard's upcoming book as that teaser chapter at the end was brilliant!

The book is cute, but I didn't enjoy it much. I found it boring and bland. Lucas and Delia are cute and adorable, but I didn't care too much about what was going on with them as a couple. The writing is easy to follow and made the time fly by. I hate that I didn't love this book, but it wasn't bad either.

I have read, and liked, all the books in this series, but this one is my new favourite!
Delia is a delightful character, so warm, full of life and with a big heart. She’s like a fairy princess, but she still feels like a real person to me. That is good penmanship.
Lucas is dreamy, of course, but he’s also a great mix of pained soul, kind heart and powerful persona. He is really likeable as well as hot. A powerful combination in a romance hero!
Best of all is the community in the series, the friendships, the quirky personalities, the banter and so on. I just love it.
There’s a background story too of course. We who have read the previous books know of Lucas’s (and Leonard’s) personal story and trauma and his angst about his family.
The movie set is a quite common trope, but here the focus is on the extras and that is a fun point of view. Especially when you know that the author did her background study as an actual extra on a set.
There are stories within stories and threads that go back to earlier books in the series as well as hints on what’s to come.
I have to say that I’m really excited by the teasers about the next book!

I really loved this start to a new series. Casella never fails to bring her A game. The mystery was a fun angle in the mix. The banter between the characters was witty and full of laughs. The chemistry was undeniable and full of steam. Overall it was a fun read and I loved all the characters. Definitely looking forward to the next book.

I fell in love with Delia and Lucas instantly, but I would have to say that Leonard and Constance are probably my favorite characters in this one. This book was funny, a bit mysterious, and just a fun read. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

This is the first installment of a new series by Angela Casella. I loved the idea of being an extra on a movie set and how our couple has their meet-cute as they arrive for their first day on the set. The characters are all fantastic. Josie is strong and determined and knows what she wants. Lucas is someone who stands up for the right thing, even when it comes at a personal cost. But as Casella’s fans already know, it’s not just the primary characters that are well developed, but the secondary characters are endearing, I loved Doris and Ross and Cadence! Casella draws the reader in and leaves us wanting the next installment. I’m sure Leonard and Shauna’s story is going to be amazing, the hard part is waiting until August.

You're So Extra is the first book in a new series by Angela Casella that follows Lucas (one of Drew's best friends from the Fairy Godmother Agency series) and Delia. Lucas agrees to be an extra for Drew's sister as a distraction from turning in his parents to the FBI. Delia is the type of person who looks for signs and believes in wishes and fate so she is hoping this movie will answer her birthday wish for something wonderful to happen in her life. She had a major crush on the male lead in the movie and hopes he is the reason. She and Lucas are set to play a couple in the movie, but their relationship doesn't start off well since she almost ran him over while looking at the star's butt.
I am absolutely in love with all of the characters in this book! Like Delia, I am a fan of color and sparkle and her positive outlook on life was so refreshing. I especially loved that she insists that, if you look hard enough, every person has at least one thing to like about them. I also really enjoyed that most of her friends are older adults and that she works as a granddaughter for hire. The chemistry between Lucas and Delia is smoking! Delia gets to play an extra in a movies and one of the leads is a boy she had a crush on in high school. When she’s parking there is a little mishap and she almost hits two men named Lucas and Leonard. They get to know each other as the day goes on, she’s a free spirit and he’s a serious. They are instantly attracted to each other, but then she finds out his last name and realizes he might not be a good person. She gets paired with Lucas and weird things start happening on the movie set. Can they figure out who’s behind the accidents that keep happening? Can Lucas show Delia he’s not bad? Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing book I absolutely love Lucas and Delia. Great supporting characters. This book has me laughing out loud and has some good twists and turns. This is my first book by this author definitely not my last.

I originally was drawn to this book because I used to live in a film heavy town in NC so that aspect plus romance and I was sold! Going into this book I was expecting a sweet little rom com, I did get that, but so much more! Along with the enemies to lovers, opposites attract, forced proximity, rich boy, reformed playboy, he falls first and the stars aligning aspects there’s a huge mystery/thriller element. A who dunnit if you will. I thought that was a really great surprise as I love a good mystery. The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars was because I guessed who did it. I can’t wait to read about Leonard and Shauna next!

Y’all. I am un-alive. Lucas and Delia are the sweetest and cutest two people ever, real life or fiction. They are also the hottest even though nothing more than some PG touches and a steamy kiss (I’m only at 47% as of right now). I go from having the biggest smile and laughing to having to fan myself, because goodness. (I have finished the book and holy smokes, Lucas and Delia are gosh darn sexy together)
I’m not sure if I have ever loved a cast of characters as much as I do in this book. Delia and Lucas are phenomenal, but all the people they end up having in their circle are just as awesome, and I just want to keep on reading about all of them.
If you haven’t been able to tell…I really really love this book. All the feels, lots of laughs, and little whodunnit in You’re So Extra.

I absolutely fell in love with the two main characters, Lucas and Dalia, and honestly most of the secondary ones too! The work Lucas and Dalia were doing on themselves made the read feel almost like an unintentional self-help book. I find myself trying to emulate Dalia or Lucas in different parts of my life.
The plot as a whole was a little out there and hairbrained but it worked for this cast of characters and made for a unique story! And now I will impatiently wait for for Leonard’s story :)

There’s nothing I disliked about this book, but it was just very bland and boring. The beginning was actually good, and then it just fell flat. The second half of the book was almost a DNF for me, and the ending was just kinda crazy.

This is a strong 3.9. It was a very cutesy feel good book. The relationship felt a lil rushed. Also the amount of times she said he only lasted half and hour was a little wild😬

This was so cute! Great start to a new series by Angela Casella. I loved the characters in this one. Delia was unabashedly herself and I was here for it. Quirky, positive, and a lover of bright colors, she never apologized for being herself and I thought she was adorable. I loved her Granddaughter for Rent business and how her friends were elderly. Lucas was also great and I enjoyed getting to watch him face his past and come out a stronger person. Their chemistry was great. Full of laughs and steam, I had a great time reading this one. Secondary characters were awesome too!

Book 1 of the Finding You series by Angela Casella was exciting, funny and suspenseful with painful emotional moments. You’re So Extra, Delia and Lucas story, was everything I’ve begun to expect from Angelia.
Learning to love and accept who you are as a person is a strong message that Angela flawlessly expressed in her book. The combination of the personalities of multiple characters adds humor and reinforcement that acceptance is what a person needs to be successful. And success is not necessarily wealth and fame, but contentment in one’s life.

I adored this first book of the new Finding You series. I absolutely loved Delia and Lucas; along with all the quirky and fun secondary characters. I loved the premise of how the main characters met while extras on a movie set.
Lucas’s life recently blew up (if you’ve read a Reluctant Roommate, you’re already in the know), and he is dealing with the aftermath. He is on a journey of self-discovery and trying to figure out who he really is and what makes him happy. Delia is the sunshine to his darkness and together they help each other heal and grow.
Delia is pure joy. She knows people think she’s odd for her choices of various jobs; but she decided she’s happy and you can like her or not. She is a strong woman who fights for those she cares about.
Lucas and Delia’s love story is heartwarming and sweet. There is a little mystery entwined in the story as well. The story and characters are all well-developed, drawing you in and making you feel a part of the story. I’ll be impatiently waiting for the next book as I’ve already loved the banter between Shauna and Leonard.

This is the first book in Casella’s Finding You series. Many of the characters in this series were first introduced in The Reluctant Roommate, the last book in her Fairy Godmother Agency Series. But don’t worry. If you haven’t read that book or that series this book can be read as a standalone with only lacking a deeper knowledge of very minor characters in this story, Rafe and Sinclair, Drew and Andy from that book being lost. As a first book in this series we’re introduced to several characters who will serve as mainstays and sometimes main protagonists in this series. There’s Lucas Burke the male protagonist in this story, his buddies Leonard, Danny and Sloane who were introduced in The Reluctant Roommate who will eventually serve as the male protagonists in their own books. There’s Shauna who was first introduced as Rafe’s friend in The Brooding Bodyguard along with Sinclair and her grandmother Constance. There's this book's female protagonist Delia's sister Mira who will be the female lead in the 3rd book in this series You're So Basic paired with Dan. Again, you don’t have to have read any of these previous books to enjoy this one.
Lucas Burke is struggling since he discovered his parents were responsible for the collapse of a building that killed several people by knowingly building it near a sink hole and then setting up someone else to take the blame. As well as running is friend Leonard out of town. Lucas has quit his position with his parent’s real estate firm which he had been groomed since birth to one day lead. He's flipping houses with his buddy Leonard. Making things worse his family being among the most prominent citizens of Ashville N.C. he’s recognized wherever he goes and many believe without knowing he’s the actual whistle blower who turned his parents into the Feds, that he had something to do with the building’s collapse. He agrees to take a role as an extra on the new movie Sinclair Jones is staring in. Why, to me at least was never exactly clear. He also gets his buddy Leonard to join him as an extra. There on the set he meets the enchanting Delia who is like a Disney princess and Constance, who is Shauna’s grandmother. FYI Leonard and Shauna are featured in the next book in the series, You’re So Bad. Burke is absolutely captivated by Delia who is not only beautiful on the outside but practically glows from within with her positivity and kindness. Unfortunately, Burke and Delia’s relationship get off to a rocky start when she discovers who he is because her BFF was killed in the collapse of the building. Once convinced of Burke’s innocence in the matter Delia is still slow to trust him. Burke must also learn how to deal with Delia who is extremely sensitive to any man trying to change her somewhat quirky nature because she’s been there done that before. While they’re working on the movie set several incidents occur that nearly kill Burke. He and his friends wonder whether his parents are behind it.
This is a fairly low drama romance with a plenty of laughs and foreshadowing of future couples.

Again, you don’t have to have read any of these previous books to enjoy this one.
Lucas Burke is struggling since he discovered his parents were responsible for the collapse of a building that killed several people by knowingly building it near a sink hole and then setting up someone else to take the blame. As well as running is friend Leonard out of town. Lucas has quit his position with his parent’s real estate firm which he had been groomed since birth to one day lead. He's flipping houses with his buddy Leonard. Making things worse his family being among the most prominent citizens of Ashville N.C. he’s recognized wherever he goes and many believe without knowing he’s the actual whistle blower who turned his parents into the Feds, that he had something to do with the building’s collapse. He agrees to take a role as an extra on the new movie Sinclair Jones is staring in. Why, to me at least was never exactly clear. He also gets his buddy Leonard to join him as an extra. There on the set he meets the enchanting Delia who is like a Disney princess and Constance, who is Shauna’s grandmother. FYI Leonard and Shauna are featured in the next book in the series, You’re So Bad. Burke is absolutely captivated by Delia who is not only beautiful on the outside but practically glows from within with her positivity and kindness. Unfortunately, Burke and Delia’s relationship get off to a rocky start when she discovers who he is because her BFF was killed in the collapse of the building. Once convinced of Burke’s innocence in the matter Delia is still slow to trust him. Burke must also learn how to deal with Delia who is extremely sensitive to any man trying to change her somewhat quirky nature because she’s been there done that before. While they’re working on the movie set several incidents occur that nearly kill Burke. He and his friends wonder whether his parents are behind it.
This is a fairly low drama romance with a plenty of laughs and foreshadowing of future couples.

You're So Extra by Angela Casella, is the first book in the new Finding You series by this author and introduces us to the story of Lucas and Delia (if you've read the Fairy Godmother Agency Series, Lucas is one of Drew's best friends ). Delia is a woman who believes in fate and signs, so when she gets the job in this movie she hopes something wonderful will happen in her life. Lucas is also there working as an extra as a way to get away from his reality a bit. He is on a path of self-discovery, so he sees this job as an opportunity to discover if that could be his path. But when he arrives on the set he is almost run over by Delia, she was a bit distracted, so they don't start off on the right foot, and it will be a little more awkward when they both find out that they will have to be a couple in the movie. From this point on, the fights, the banter and situations will bring them closer until they cannot deny their attraction.
I really enjoyed this story and its characters, all of them, it's a funny and fresh story, with some mystery, the perfect mix that will keep you enjoying throughout the book. I already want more of this series and these characters, Highly Recommended!!

Delia es una mujer creyente del destino y las señales, por lo que cuando consigue el trabajo en esta película espera que algo maravilloso pase en su vida. Lucas también está allí trabajando como extra como una manera de huir un poco de su realidad, él se encuentra en un camino de auto descubrimiento por lo que ve este trabajo como una oportunidad de descubrir si eso puede ser su camino. Pero cuando llega al set es casi atropellado por Delia, ella estaba algo distraída, por lo que no comienzan con buen pie, y será un poco más incómodo cuando ambos descubran que deberán hacer de pareja en la película. De aquí en adelante las peleas y situaciones los acercaran hasta que no podrán negar su atracción.
Yo disfrute muchísimo esta historia y sus personajes, todos ellos, es una historia graciosa y fresca, con algo de misterio, la mezcla perfecta que te mantendrá disfrutando durante todo el libro. Ya quiero más de esta serie y de estos personajes, Altamente Recomendada!!

Needing a distraction, Lucas Burke agrees to be an extra in his friend Sinclair’s upcoming movie. But it seems like fate has other plans, when the woman he is paired with is closely connected to the reason he needs the distraction in the first place. Trying to right the wrong caused by his parent’s Lucas decides to help “fix” Delia’s life, but instead finds he wants something so much more from her.
Delia Evans is a free spirit. She spends her days as a granddaughter for hire helping the elderly with chores, walking dogs and reading books to children dressed as a mermaid. Acting as an extra is a perk. But, it seems like fate has other plans when she comes face to face with the man whose family caused the death of her best friend. But as it becomes clear to her that Lucas is nothing like his parents, it’s up to Delia to make him see that as well.
As their romance blooms, however, accidents keep happening on the set and it seems like the movie may be cursed, and it may end their romance in tragedy before they ever see what fate has planned for their happily ever after.
I adored this opposites attract romance rolled up with a mystery to solve! Lucas truly feels like he has the weight of the world on his shoulders, and I loved watching him slowly start to realize the man he really is and just how much love and support he has from the family he didn’t even realize he built around him. Delia is just lovely! She’s so genuine and loyal and always sees the best in everyone. She is exactly the ray of sunshine and the positive thinker that Lucas needs in his life. The side characters of Leonard, Constance, Doris and Ross, Danny, Shuana and more just add to the depth, banter, humor and sweetness that this story includes.
The romance is sweet and sassy. The characters are unique and genuine and the mystery woven into the plot adds interest and excitement to make You’re So Extra a really fun read! 5 stars!

This was a semi-grumpy/sunshine, meet cute romcom when movie extras Lucas and Delia meet when she nearly runs him down in the carpark. Lucas is a bit lost and is trying to find himself after turning whistle blower on his parents after finding out they knowingly built an apartment building they knew was unsafe which later collapsed resulting several fatalities. Initially Delia is drawn to him until she finds out who he is before realising he played no part in the tragedy and feels guilty enough about it. Everything is going well until accidents start happening on set whenever Lucas is near. Are they really accidents or is someone deliberately targeting Lucas?
I loved Lucas here. He's so sympathetically written you just want to give him a cuddle. He's riddled with insecurities over what his family did and feels ashamed whenever he's recognised. He doesn't seem to realise just how much his friends love him. Luckily Delia is there to show him just what he means to people. Their relationship develops slowly becoming friends before taking things to the next level. There is also a fabulous cast of secondary characters, all generally well-rounded and with a great group dynamic. They've might not have had the best home lives but Angela Casella's stories usually show readers that you don't have to let the family you were born with drag you down. Ultimately family can be people you choose rather than blood relations. With a strong storyline with a good flow this slowburn romcom was a great start to the Finding You series. It might not have been laugh out loud but it had me smiling especially the part with geriatrics behaving badly in a swimming pool. Now I’m looking forward to Leonard and Shauna’s story
