Is there any fear greater than when the predator discovers that he himself has become the target of a superior hunter?
It started out innocently enough… Orlando private investigator Scott Jarvis was sitting in his office when a beautiful redhead appears and asks for his help. Yet her misgivings about her sister’s new lover quickly twist into a bizarre struggle of deadly proportions…
Roger Heath, wealthy industrialist and illegitimate son of a billionaire is dating Mercedes Glass, the sister of Crystal, a sexy manager of a local gentleman’s club. When Scott takes them and his sister on a Fourth of July cruise to Key West, strange events begin to rapidly tear apart their vacation… so what else is new?
After heath vanishes and the person seemingly responsible is found dead, Scott Jarvis must race to discover the truth about heath and his family connections as well as the mysterious death of Heath’s wife several years before. As the situation devolves, more of Scott’s friends begin to vanish and he must face the greatest personal challenge of his life!
Scott is forced into a personal contest in which he is being hunted on a remote Venezuelan island. Either he evades his pursuer or he and his friends die. Can Jarvis turn the tables on his adversary and become the hunter himself before it’s too late?
Kidnappings, murder and a desperate struggle for survival pit predator against predator in this gripping new novel! Who will prevail and who will become a repast for the hounds!?
In Whom Predators Fear: A Florida Action Adventure Novel by Scott Cook, we find our enigmatic PI Scott Jarvis in another adventure, investigating another murder and a few missing people. It has action, comedy, romance, and name-dropping of some of Florida’s landmarks and restaurants, some of which I have been to and some I am excited to visit. Scott never disappoints to entertain the reader. I enjoyed having Lauren, his sister in the story. She is as funny and persistent as her brother. Scott says the darndest things as always, funny and witty. After reading the book it made me want to drive down to Key West which is a 4-hour drive and eat at Bagatelle, Alonzos, Mangrove Mama’s and other restaurants. Scott can maybe make a travel guide of Florida and I would definitely read that one too!
Whom Predators Fear: A Florida Action Adventure Novel is the thirteenth installment of the Scott Jarvis Private Investigator Book Series by Scott Cook. I find every book in this series riveting, and this installment was no different. I like the author’s tone and prose, as well as how Scott continuously finds himself in the most harrowing situations regardless of where he goes. I commend Scott’s intelligence, as he always scrapes by even when up against his most dangerous foes. This sentiment is captured in his monologue, “the most interesting, surprising, and dangerous of my cases begin with small and insignificant things that blossom from mighty acorns into humble oaks”. I recommend this to fans of the series and of investigation mystery novels.
In Whom Predators Fear: A Florida Action Adventure Novel (Scott Jarvis Private Investigator Book 13), we see once again PI Scott Jarvis being chased down into another adventurous challenge by being hunted on a Venezuelan island and trying to solve a series of murders.
We got some action, comedy, romance, and a lot of humor in this book. Like many action stories, we get the funny detective solving another crime but getting tangled up in a much higher conspiracy. The book knows how to hook you up from the start to the last page. You can't help but laugh at the characters and events throughout the story. A fun action book I would highly recommend!
Quite a tail. As always, good character development and moderate sex. Having lived in Orlando and North Eddington Beach, I can visualize the area. Long Key was one of my favorite camping grounds and a short drive to Key West. If you have never been to the Keys make sure to put it on your bucket list. Rambo took over the last quarter of the tail but you will have to read the book to get the whole picture. Enjoy!
Once again Scott Cook and the Orlando PI Jarvis take us on a fast paced thrill ride. Action, comedy, romance, some recipes, and tour of restaurants here in Florida for those of us close enough to see if they are as Scott describes. Great fun along with his other series. The for another adventure!!!
Whom Predators Fear by Scott Cook is another great adventure in the series featuring protagonist Scott Jarvis. Scott has no time off, as when he gets on a Fourth of July cruise, the journey turns deadly and he finds himself having to investigate several murders, soon after it becomes clear that he is in the middle of something far more dangerous. I found a perfect match between the plot and the writing style of the author. The story is very well told, and the vocabulary chosen describes each character and scene perfectly. Thanks to this, I found myself immersed in every page, following the adventures of Scott closely. I highly recommend this book to fans of adventurous readings; I’m sure they will enjoy it as much as I did.
