This book, Now Here: A Journey from Toxic Boss to Conscious Connector by Dominique Farnan, shows the author's journey from being a toxic boss towards being a better, conscious leader to her team. I realized after reading this book that it is always not too late to change one's self for the better. In this book, Dominique displayed her vulnerability and accepted how imperfect she was as a boss in the past, but how she was also able to reflect and make small changes and gradually make herself better every day. There were so many life lessons installed here and I appreciate how transparent the author was. It also showed how Covid made it all the more challenging for her but how it also helped her find her way. All in all, a great book to devour that gave inspiration!

We should definitely look out more for oneself and other.

“Now Here” by Dominique Farnan is a mesmerizing book where the author tells her own story through high functioning depression, burnout and all the difficulties that come with it. It’s crazy how someone who’s that successful can be so hurt on the inside without anyone noticing. That’s why I think that this book is crucial to read. It helps to have more empathy towards people who seem just fine on the outside. Not everyone who’s depressed can’t get out of bed. It made me realize how important it is to take care of each other in this society, where everything has become so individualistic. We should definitely look out more for oneself and other.

Now Here: A Journey From Toxic Boss to Conscious Connector is a self-guidance book of a subject that from the title itself is very obvious.
Farnan shows us what depression does to a person from her point of view. How she was extremely successful but was highly depressed and all of that changed (more like she changed it) when COVID-19 hit everyone.
Everyone can be a terrible boss, but it takes open mind, patience and determination to be a conscious and great leader. Farnan talks about this subject and the life lessons it took to make that change. It was a read to enjoy and to take in consideration, not only in a work-related environment but in a person level as well. It was highly intriguing and educational, compelling and easy going. Highly recommend it!

A testament to the capacity of the human spirit to evolve...

"Now Here: A Journey from Toxic Boss to Conscious Connector" by Dominique Farnan offers an intimate narrative that unveils the depths of personal transformation. Farnan's outwardly successful life masked the turmoil within—a business owner, devoted wife, and mother, she battled the weight of emotional detachment as a high-functioning depressive.

The upheaval caused by the COVID-19 pandemic became her pivotal moment, propelling her to confront her inner turmoil. Through the guidance of a coach, Farnan learned that authentic change necessitates confronting her internal struggles. This profound shift extended beyond her comfort zone, prompting her to recalibrate her thoughts and ultimately reshape her existence. The ripple effect was remarkable—a profound enhancement of her roles as boss, leader, spouse, and parent. Crucially, it brought her an elusive sense of peace and calm.

In "Now Here," Farnan shares her 2020 journey, illuminating the powerful transition that revolutionized her outlook and engagement with the world. Her narrative serves as a repository of life lessons spanning work, love, relationships, and spirituality, offering an invaluable guide to those craving change and revitalization. The book serves as a testament to the capacity of the human spirit to evolve, inspiring readers to pursue transformation and embrace the profound possibilities of the present. Highly recommended.

Now Here: A Journey from Toxic Boss to Conscious Connector is a motivating story by Dominique Farnan the Founder and CEO of DOTCONNECT. It was an impressive journey on how she has worked on changing her thoughts and in turn changing her life. It's fascinating how someone can be externally successful but internally depressed, which I know a lot of people can relate to. It's an eye-opening read and it taught me a lot of important lessons which includes self-worth, contentment and just simple joy. Her actual travel/journey to find that inner peace is fascinating .Being able to confront and live with your past is an important part of moving forward. I am all for plant medicine but I know from experience not everyone can assimilate or get into that groove. All in all, I find Dominique a strong and brave woman whom I had a pleasure to read about.

I really enjoyed reading this fascinating and captivating book. The author has a compelling writing style that skillfully combines vivid descriptions, sincere contemplation, and real dialogue.
Readers are on the edge of their seats as the story deftly shifts between depressing periods and hopeful flashes, hoping that Dom will finally find the consolation she so badly wants.
The story also serves as a representation of the common challenges that many people had throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Dom's experiences serve as a monument to society's resilience and capacity for development in the face of adversity. Readers connect with her tale on a deeply personal level, finding comfort, hope, and a sense of commonality. Personal transformation means stepping out of our comfort zone, but this book shows us that whatever we set out to do, we can do it.

Now Here is a Journey through the Life of Dominique Farman, who shares with the reader her ups and downs, in dealing with depression. It's a very interesting approach the one she makes, knowing she has everything to be happy but never fully experiencing it.

In my opinion, Dominique represents one of the biggest enigmas we as humans have: Inner peace. A concept so hard to achieve and one that takes lots of time and effort, just to modify a tiny part of ourselves.

Overall, I think this book is great for people struggling with depression or other mental conditions, as it narrates in the first person the process she endures and how she turned her life around, healing and growing every day.

Really inspiring!

I don't have any doubt that the covid-19 pandemic generated big changes in life in general, and in the particular lives of many people. This book is a great testimony of that. Now Here: A Journey from Toxic Boss to Conscious Connector by Dominique Farnan tells the author's own story of how she hit rock bottom and was able to emerge as a better person in all areas of her life.
It is a very moving story and I think a lot of people can relate to it. I liked it not only because the author is totally transparent but also because she shares a very important message about listening to ourselves, our feelings and working on them. It is great, I recommend it!

It is an exciting and very inspiring story; in many of its parts, I felt identified and at times with a clear mind about what I should do to solve internally sustained problems but also conflicts that arise on a daily basis.
Written by author and protagonist Dominique Farnan, the story is an easy read with very well defined and interesting characters.
It has really helped me to reflect on and process a large part of the emotions that I experience, giving me valuable tools to begin to resolve them.
I recommend reading it and also reading it calmly and taking the time to enjoy it

I love memoirs about people who can evolve from pain of the past and learn to become better people because of it. Dominique Farnan did just that. By being self aware even when it hurts. It is called growing. The world needs more inspirational voices. It helps us known we are not alone in the journey of life. A main theme is money and power do not make you happy. Learning to be a better person does.
I listened to this on Audio and the author is the narrator. I always love that. It seems so personal.

Journey of self discovery

This book follows the author and her journey from a toxic boss and struggling mother and wife, to a even-tempered and fair boss, and loving mother and wife. Boundaries, love, healing and acceptance are all important topics in the book, and I found it was helpful to read the host with which the author tasted this subject matter. The story is inspiring and can show that most anyone can turn their life around.

Great book for future readers

I feel like we all survived differently throug the pande,ic and everyone who experienced it doesn't necessarily want to hear how it impacted other people. In 30 years this could be an interesting read for someone to learn about the mental impact covid-19 had on people. I was glad the author found her way through it.

This book does a great job of showing how chaotic and confrontational leadership does major damage. Dominique's raw and unapologetic glimpse into her full life and major transformation from being a self-proclaimed psycho boss to growing and building herself into a leader (rather than a boss) that supports others is so inspirational. I loved the important life lessons that she imparts to us, many of which date back to her grandmother. Here's to more toxic bosses becoming leaders we WANT to follow.
