excellent stay to the series
Having read another trilogy by Lisa I became hooked and had to look for another trilogy. Bringing me to this 💎 gem! Loved Naomi, refreshing to have a strong independent female lead! Feeling a little bit sorry for Roman (as she’s been hired to kill him and he wants a wife). The little niece katya is literally breaking my heart and I have everything crossed for a happy ever after for her sake. and finally Viktor has be cracking up, he’s the comic relief that stressed out Roman needs in his life.
My only concern is that the pregnancy part to the storyline ends up been written about in the last chapter of the last book so you don’t get to experience there happiness. This happened in a previous book by Lisa, despite it been mentioned in the blurb on each book. I expected more written about the pregnancy/baby. But I am only on book one so hopefully the book flows well!
It is definitely worth mentioning that the s** scenes are amazingly written throughout all the books I read by Lisa and all so different no copy and paste s** scenes in her books! There hot as hell 🥵

I had forgotten how good Lisa Lovell is at writing dark mafia romance - and this does not disappoint with a hot, female assassin who is more than a match for a ruthless mafia leader.
The first book in the Vassiliev Bratva series finds Naomi's parents being killed by the mafia when she was young and, not knowing whether her little brother survived, is taken away and trained as an assassin. Years later, she is given a way to find out what happened the night she lost her family when she is ordered to marry and take out Roman Vassiliev, the head of the offending mafia family. However, despite Naomi's training, can she manage to find the information required without succumbing to Roman and his orphaned niece?
I love these two strong characters, Naomi is not only attractive but feisty and does not hesitate to challenge Roman, who is a ruthless leader with a similar tragic past. I can't wait to find out what happens in the next book, Heartless Liar.

Wow great start to the trilogy!
Naomi, an assassin is sent to infiltrate the Vassiliev compound by marrying Roman the leader of the Bratva.
I really loved these two. The playing off each other and both with ulterior motives. I liked how Naomi was trying to resist Roman's advances but gave in. And that Cliff hanger ending, leaves you wanting more. So good!
This really was an exciting and spell binding start to the series. Can't wait for more!

Good first book in the series. Ends in a cliffhanger.
I like that a woman is an assassin. Naomi knows her craft well. My phone problem with the story is Naomi acts childish at times. The way her handler speaks to her is not always respectful, but she wants his approval as if she were a child. Roman and Naomi have good chemistry. Roman needs to look into his inner circle to see if one of them is giving information to his enemies. The plot has action and some steamy scenes. I will read the next book to see what happens next.

Naomi is a gorgeous assassin. I love her character and fighter instincts. Roman is her arrogant and handsome assignment. Sparks fly, attraction is mutual and fierce and their chemistry is hot and steamy. I love their battle of wills. The prologue grabbed my attention and held it until the heart racing cliff hangar ending. I can’t wait for the continuation of the story in “Heartless Liar”. I received an ARC for an honest review.

First, I liked the cover. It makes me think Roman looks like that. I really like Naomi. She is definitely a woman of action. Roman is a sexy beast of a man running a bratva. I liked the storyline. The story was about more than romance. There was action and sexual chemistry which made this book entertaining. I loved how real the dialogue sounded to my ear as I read.

I like this author's style. This is the first of a series of three books about Roman Vassiliev who stepped up as the 19-year-old leader of his family's Bratva Empire by wreaking havoc on the perpetrators of the deaths of his parents and his uncle. Now years later his right-hand men encourage him to get married to prove his stability and plans for the continuation of his family lineage. Enter assassin Naomi Stanton as one candidate. She has in her favor that his five-year-old orphaned niece talks and plays with her and no one else.

good story but ..
I love a good female assassin story but the heroine was just childish at times . How can she be this skilled assassin when she couldn’t even keep her act together with her mood changes . She acted like she was forced to be there when she wasn’t and the way she let her “handler” treat her was ridiculous . She acted more like a emotionally unstable woman with low self esteem then the skill assassin she was suppose to be

The starting was awesome. Loved the prologue story of Naomi. But then I had issues with a few things: Roman is suppose to be the most powerful Pakhan of the Bratva but he marries a girl after carrying out the flimsiest background check. Her adoptive parents don't show up for the wedding because they're on vacation? Honestly! Here's the kicker. Roman's niece almost gets abducted from his superbly secure mansion by 4 men while he's at home? Seriously!

Not everyone can write a good novella. You need a storyline that’s quickly intriguing and characters you are immediately drawn to. Then you need enough detail to support the plot but not delay it. And all that is what we get in book 1 of this series! Naomi and Roman have you hooked with their chemistry and sold on the mystery. How the heck will this play out?! I’m diving right in to book 2!

Thrilling!….4.5 Stars!
Roman Vassiliev, a Bratva Pakhan chooses Naomi Stanton, a beautiful young woman for his wife not knowing that she’s a well trained assassin whose current assignment is to spy on him for Intel and to kill him later. Intriguing and thrilling so far. Can’t wait for the next book.

Lisa Lovell has a way with Mafia tropes like no one else! She also has a way with cliffhanger endings. I definitely want a man like Roman Vassilev in my life. Hoo boy! I can also say I'm a lot like Naomi as well.

This is the start of the Vassiliev Bratva series and is so good. This is the story of Roman and Naomi. The twists, action, drama and sizzling chemistry of this couple had me turning the pages. I can’t wait to read the next one. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I would have loved it even more if.,
It had ended but it's only the first part of three books. Why? I wish they would tell you in the beginning but it's a cliffhanger it's a good one , but it's just the beginning. The main female character is worth the book.
