Gia Nyx is Nashville’s hottest rising young star and my celebrity crush.
Now I’m the small-town, older man who just became her fake boyfriend.
I don’t know how Gia ended up here, in little Henryville Township, NC. I’m shocked when I meet her glamping at the farm next door and more shocked when she throws her arms around me and kisses me like I’m her long-lost lover. Turns out she needs a fake boyfriend, and she’s picked me.
All we have to do is pose for a social media post or two and let the rumor mill run. She says it will be good for keeping her rabid fans at bay. And since I’ve found out my parents could legally take over my farm, I might need her, too. Win-win.
She doesn’t know that my manipulative parents’ marriage makes me extra prickly, and the word relationship makes me break out in hives, even if it is fake. There’s a reason I don’t do commitment.
But spending time with her is breaking me down. It’s her tender smiles from those kissable lips, her flirty looks from those sparkling green eyes, and the way she reaches for me without even thinking.
She’s more than a star and I’m falling fast.
This relationship started out as pretend and I need to remember that.
Or when she goes back to Nashville, I’ll lose both the woman and my heart.
*Told in Dual POV
Anything That You Need is a sweet, funny, fake relationship, age gap, Nashville country star/country boy, closed-door, romantic comedy set in the fictional southern small town of Henryville Township, NC. If you like road trips, love songs, and super supportive family, you'll love Anything That You Need.
Mary likes her chocolate salted and her romance sweet.
She writes sweet and funny romance with a kiss, and you won't be embarrassed to gift her books to your mom. (Well, not too embarrassed. Sometimes those kisses can get pretty steamy!)

3 stars, personally. (Clean, no faith content, no major language, and a couple hints to sexual innuendoes/body parts.)
Me: *see Age-Gap trope* Me: *narrows eyes* Me: “Just how many years are we talking?”
She’s newly 27 and He’s 35. Which since I was concerned he was in his 40s or something, I’m okay with an eight year gap. (That’s also about what my parents are, so it’s not that weird to me.) Honestly, I was more shocked that he’s 6’5”? ?! With age gap romances, they typically always have the younger half of the couple be very immature to highlight the older half being all wisdom and knowledge. Which is why I usually avoid those, it’s annoying. This book didn’t feel like that and it wasn’t made a big deal out of at all. Gia had a few moments that I wanted her to get it together (and him too, honestly), but it was pretty okay in that regard, despite my original concerns.
Random things I liked: Faking dating trope! He runs a flower farm! (yes, my gardener heart went pitter patter at that) He opens the door for her! She has a healthy close-family relationship with her parents and siblings!
He assumed something negatively about her based on a comment on a phone call (which made me frustrated with him), but is thankfully correctly the next day and apologizes. I appreciated the quick turn around on that because else wise it would have made me nervous for the rest of the book. I wasn’t a fan of being teased about whatever secret Gia was hiding throughout half of the book, especially since it felt like it could cause a misunderstanding.
They were awkward with each other, but the best kind of awkward, if that makes sense? It felt real, like they were really fake dating a stranger but fighting feelings the more they are with the other. It was really cute, really.
He’s an awkward fanboy, but honestly it was kind of cute. He’s a walking green flag with golden retriever energy and I was tickled to pieces at times because of it.
Any bit of drama in this book felt added in just to have drama, in all honesty, but I didn’t let it bother me.
I was concerned that them writing out a contract for their fake dating would cause a problem. Obviously they’ve never read a book with the fake dating trope. See, I’ve read plenty of those and know to never sign a contact that could come back and cause problems. Or at least hide it really well. *pointed look*
It honestly got a little cheesy towards the end, but I was shockingly fine with it. She was a bit oblivious at times and I wondered how she couldn’t realize things, but it was satisfying when she was told the meaning behind different actions Jackson did.
Her sister’s name is Lindsey and it’s the weirdest thing to see your name written out more times than I see it in a month.
I rarely ever care to see about a bonus chapter or whatever for these romcoms, but I did feel like I needed to see this couple’s one, so yes, I did sign up for the author’s email list just to see it and it was cute.
It wasn’t overly sexual or romance-y physical noticing at all and it was really a breath of fresh air from all the KU rom-coms I’ve been trying here and there. Lots of kisses, but mainly just sweet ones. There were a few off-handed comments though that did end up bringing down my rating, which was really disappointing. For personal reasons, I don’t like seeing main characters drinking and while I was expecting it to a degree because that’s common in these KU rom-com books, I still didn’t like seeing it. Had those few parts not been in this book, I probably would have given it 3.5 or even 4 stars because else wise it was really cute.
Main Content/Trigger Warnings:
No major language used, minor forms are used instead: butt, crap, gah, dagnabit, dang, gosh, heck, holy cow, idiot, oh my gosh, pissed, shoot, stupid, sugar, sun of a gun, what the heck/what in the heck; (‘biscuits’ is also used instead of butt); A few mentions of curses being said but are not written; A mention of an obscene gesture being done by a hungover guy.
Gia & Jackson both drink alcohol (beer and whiskey) & go to bars for events (Gia says she doesn’t drink often because of her voice); Mentions of alcohol, drinking, drunks, hangovers, & bars/pubs; A few mentions of tattoos; A few mentions of a stalker that Gia had; A few mentions of bets.
Jackson’s parents only care about appearances and making money, so he has tried to get them out of his life; Jackson’s grandparents (who meant a lot to him) passed away and we see some of his grief & Gia’s grief for her grandmother.
Gia & Jackson go out to breakfast on a Sunday morning because most of the town folks will be at church then; Mentions of being lucky; A mention of fate.
There’s a lot of kisses and remembering kisses, but most are barely described, sweet ones (but there are about 8-10 that are described, up to a couple paragraphs/six or so sentences and a handful that include a bit more); Touches, Embraces, Nearness, & Smelling (up to semi-detailed); Gia sits in Jackson’s lap a few times; Blushes; Noticing & Staring (but it’s really light and she didn’t notice his muscles at all); Gia & Jackson share a honeymoon suite at a hotel (but has two separate rooms, so they each have a room; They see each other freshly showered and in robes and it leads into a heavy kiss); ‘Babe’, ‘baby’, and ‘hot’ are said up to a few times each.
There’s an awkward misunderstanding of a young boy saying he wants to get to know Dolly Parton “up close and personal” (his parents are horrified by this, but he clarifies that he just wants to be friends with her to get tickets to Dollywood); A few mentions of male body parts (Gia’s younger brother mentions his “mainly bits”; A couple guys comment on the others’ “stones”;) A few guys are pushy towards Gia & wants her to sign their chests; Mentions of kisses & kissing; Mentions of dates, dating, boyfriends/girlfriends, & breakups; A few mentions of a couple being “hot and heavy”; A mention of a man being virile.
You know, I think Mary Carson just keeps getting better and better. This was a sweet fake-dating (but was it ever REALLY fake?) book. I loved Gia's family and how involved they were, and the ole timers? Hilarious! But when you get to "The Relationship Verification case file"? Laugh-snort! There were also a couple really touching moments, and oh, how I wish I could have met their grandparents (ok, I realize I've never actually met ANY of them, but I've lived in these books!).
Another great installments to the Anything series.
~I was given a complimentary copy of this book. No positive review was required, and all opinions are my own.~
– this is part of a series, but can be read as a stand-alone
– this is told from Gia & Jackson’s points of view
– there is an age gap of about 8 years between them
– both characters’ grandparents passed away recently (within the past few years)
– Jackson’s parents care about money & optics over anything else
Review:
I had so much fun getting to know these characters! Gia and her family had such a great family dynamic together and I loved how much support they had for one another in all their pursuits. I especially loved Gia’s banter with her siblings! They were so funny and I loved how close they were. I also enjoyed getting to know Jackson more! I met him in the last book a little bit and I loved getting a deeper look at the man with a flower farm. I really enjoyed the development of Gia & Jackson’s fake relationship and the matters that happened in order to get them to the point of deciding they needed a fake relationship. I loved that they both went into it expecting to come out of it unattached to each other, but inevitably falling for each other.
Summary:
Gia needed to get away from the glitz and glamour of the country star life to feel like herself for awhile, so she booked herself a vacation glamping in a cute small town. A small town that seems to get a lot more traffic than she expected due to the wedding venue on site that she somehow missed when she made the reservation. Luckily Gia is saved from this misstep by Jackson, a man who treats her like a person rather than a superstar. With his help, she’s able to navigate town with better success in keeping a low profile. But all great things must come to an end…
Jackson knows exactly who Gia is when he spots her and makes himself proud when he’s able to talk to her like a normal human being without stars in his eyes. It’s clear that she’s trying to keep a low profile and Jackson is willing to oblige her that, everyone should be able to get away when they need to. Despite knowing Gia would likely rather be alone than bothered, Jackson can’t seem to keep himself from seeking her out to find out what kind of person she is behind the fame. So when she asks him for a favor, he finds himself agreeing to help her out. Because the favor of pretending to be her boyfriend to keep others away during her time in town means that Jackson will have that much more time set aside for getting to know her. Plus, it will help him out with an unexpected issue he’s had come up as well…
This romantic comedy was such a delight to read. It is full of engaging characters whose personalities shine through the written word making them easy to like and a joy to get to know.
Gia Nyx is a country music star. She needs a little downtime without all of the hoopla that ordinarily surrounds her. She finds a nice little place in Henryville Township, North Carolina where she can go glamping. She needs time for some self-reflection and this seems like the perfect place for her.
Jackson is a flower farmer from next door. He sees and recognizes Gia, but Jackson being Jackson does not make a big deal out of it. They end up meeting in a humorous way. Both Gia and Jackson have an issue. Gia needs a boyfriend to keep the rabid fans away from her, and it just so happens that Jackson needs a girlfriend to satisfy the stipulations under his grandmother's Will so that he can fully inherit the flower farm. A fake relationship seems like a mutually agreeable way to help each other out. This story follows their journey through their fake relationship where you can immediately see a bond forming.
I loved Gia's family and Jackson's friends. These people came together to make things work for this couple, and provided a support system that both of them needed. Jackson has never had a support system through his parents. They only care about money and keeping up appearances. Trust me when I tell you that you will not like them. This was a romantic comedy that will tug on your heart strings as you get to know these characters more. This was a warm, delightful gift full of romantic moments, friendships, family and plenty of humorous scenes that will make you laugh out loud. If you love the fake romance trope and good, clean fun, you will enjoy this one.
Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Anything That You Need was such a cute fake dating romance with my favorite small town romance element! If you are looking for a super fun, closed door rom-com, this one is for you!
Gia is Nashville’s biggest country star, who finds herself clamping in Henryville Township, NC. There, she meets Jackson, a country boy who works as a florist on the campground setting up for a wedding. When locals start to figure out Gia’s identity, she decides she needs a fake boyfriend to keep the fans away from her. At the same time, Jackson recently found out that there is a stipulation in the will left by his recently deceased grandmother. In order for Jackson to legally take over his parents farm, he needs to give love a chance. For someone that has always been against commitment, this is not an easy task for Jackson. Since they both need the same thing, the two decide to give fake dating a chance. Will the two remain as friends, or will it start to develop into something more?
I loved this book was told in dual point of views and that we got to hear from both Gia and Jackson! I felt like this book flowed really well and had me wanting to keep reading another chapter because I was hooked and wanted to find out more! I highly recommend this book and hope you will check it out!

Anything That You Need is book three in the Anything Series by Mary Carson and can be read as a standalone! All three books in the series are available on Kindle Unlimited!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is the third book in The Anything Series and can be read as a standalone, though characters from the previous books appear. The book's blurb gives you an idea of what to expect, though be aware the book touches on the loss of loved ones and estranged family relationships. Anything That You Need is told through Gia and Jackson's pov and is a sweet age gap romance.
Being a country star is what Gia dreamed of but the constant touring has left her missing spending time with her family and having time to relax. While she's on vacation, she meets Jackson and likes the fact that she can be herself and seen as more than her celeb status. Although Jackson is a fan, he treats Gia like anyone else and wants to get to know her. His upbringing shaped his beliefs about relationships but he can't ignore the pull he feels towards Gia, especially once she's in need of his help. As they come to each other's aids, both have to things to reconsider about their lives.
From the moment that they met, there was a mutual attraction but having a relationship was the last thing on their mind. Gia was concerned about her future and Jackson was focused on his flower farm. Because of that, they didn't hesitate to start fake dating. They had an understanding and that allowed them to become friends quickly. Their romance was a slow burn and readers will like the development of the relationship. Content wise, it's a clean romance consisting of only kissing and no foul language. For those that have read the previous books, they will enjoy the appearance of characters from the previous books. Overall, I enjoyed this story.
What a great third book in The Anything Series. I really liked our hero and Heroine, Gia and Jackson. Their first meeting is something neither will forget and where their “fake-dating” plan comes into play. I liked when we find out more about each of them and their pasts and unfortunately we come to find out that Gia has an amazing supportive family while Jackson grew up in a family where his parents didn’t care about anything but their next deal and he was pretty much just something for them to parade around when they wanted to show off for appearances sake. I really enjoyed their fake dates and then when they show up on social media, it’s game on. Jackson finally reads the letter from his deceased grandmother and her letter and conditions for Jackson, added more stress to their situation. Unfortunately, his parents show up and find notes about their fake dating and pretty much let him know that they will be taking over what he has come to love, the flower farm his grandparents ran. Who knew that the ‘ole timers would come to the rescue along with Jasmine and Gia and when Gia and Jackson go to meet with the attorney they find out Jackson’s grandmother left a final letter which turns everything on its head and gives Jackson everything he wants. Gia and Jackson also admit that the fake dating might not have been fake after all. I loved how everything came together for these two. I always appreciate this author and how she provides us with so many updates at the end of the book and not just like 3 or 6 month updates either, like long term updates. WONDERFUL STORY!!!!
This was such a cute read! I have read all of Mary Carson’s books, and they are such fun. Gia was a sweetheart from the beginning. I really liked how down to earth she was and how committed she was to her family. It was fun to see such a positive family representation where they’re so supportive. I think Gia felt very relatable to me which can be harder to do with celebrity romances. She was still awkward and insecure and generally acted like a normal person. Jackson was such a sweetheart! He definitely had some baggage from his past, but it was sweet how protective he was of Gia. I love how seamlessly they flowed into their relationship. It didn’t feel awkward at all. Their fake relationship was such fun! I love how there was none of the typical angst and drama, but instead both of them were able to be honest with their feelings with each other. And the side characters were so cute! I love how kind Gia’s family is, and it was fun to see family members that genuinely enjoy being around each other. And I love the smalltown feel. I would definitely recommend this small town closed door romcom to anyone who loves small town, age gap, and celebrity romances!
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, I was not required to write a positive review.
This is the perfect feel good story! Everyone deserves to follow their dreams and have their happy ending.
Gia is a famous country music star. She is staying at a cabin in a small time in between tour dates. She is excited for some down time and a visit with her family for her birthday.
Jackson has a flower farm in the area. His best friend’s mom owns the area Gia is staying at and he provides flowers for special events like weddings that are hosted on the property.
Gia and Jackson have the best meetcute that ends in an impromptu swim in the lake.
Jackson, who has put off reading his grandmother’s will for almost a year, finds out that he has to give love a chance in order to keep the flower farm.
Gia is spotted by some fans in town and decides she needs a relationship to help keep all the flirtatious fans at bay.
The two decide that fake dating is the perfect solution to both of their problems. They do a great job convincing everyone their relationship is real. Can they continue to convince themselves it is fake?
This was a fun story with fantastic supporting characters. Everyone feels like family and the small town vibes made me feel like I was right there as a member of the friend group.
It has been a while since I have read a book that really got me engrossed from the very beginning but this book did that. All I wanted to do was read this book and see what was going to happen. I spent every spare minute I had reading this book. All I was doing was thinking about this book and when I would be able to read it more. This book is so good there are plenty of parts to make you laugh and you might even cry. But above all you will smile and swoon right along with Gia and Jackson. On a side note if you have read the previous book you will get a lot of Jasmine who I personally love so that was very nice. But you do not have to have read the other books to enjoy this one. Jackson is so sweet and caring to everyone around him but he does struggle with people who have money. Gia is just as sweet always thinking of others around her. They start to fake date in order to help each other out but they soon realize they aren't faking anymore or possibly ever. The end of the book was a little bittersweet as most books are. I loved the ending but I didn't want it to end but it was perfect. Just start reading the book!
🌷Holy sh!t! I devoured this book from start to end and finished it in one sitting. Whenever I was not reading this, I was thinking about this book. This book lives rent free in my head. Especially because of Fake Dating trope as it is my favorite trope in Contemporary Romance.
🌷Gia is a country star and Jackson is a flower farmer. They mutually decided to fake date each other for their own benefit. It was a win-win situation for both of them. It was interesting to read about their relationship development and how they support each other. I adore Gia and Jackson, they were so kind-hearted and down-to-earth. Always ready to help and support each other. They are the sweetest. The side characters were also very supportive, like Gia's family (especially her sister), Jasmine, Rose, Quinn and the other side characters were also good..
🌷Author's writing is incredible. The story is beautifully written with sweet characters, a close & supportive family.
Anything That You Need is the third book in the Anything series. Characters from the previous books do make appearances throughout this one, but I do think it would read just fine as a standalone as well.
This was such a sweet read! I am always excited to read a fake dating story and this one was done really well and in a way that felt unique. For starters, it seemed like half the side characters we meet throughout the story are in on that secret too. Without giving away any potential spoilers, Jackson's parents and the rather unique stipulations for his grandparents' will kept things interesting too. It had all the small-town charm you could want with side characters that made the story all that much more entertaining. Though Gia was a huge country music star, she was super down to earth and sweet... and the way Jackson wanted to protect her? Oh my, I just adored it. They were the sweetest together and I couldn't help but enjoy their story.
Anything That You Need is a closed-door romance with kisses only.
** I received an ARC for consideration. All opinions are my own.
It was a joy to read Mary Carson’s last few books, and I recently got to read her next and newest book, “Anything That You Need.” It was so good! I loved country singer, Gia and flower farmer, Jackson’s story! They were so fun and so sweet together!
I loved being back on the farm, and that past characters we already knew were in this book as well! That is always so cool! It was also so great getting to know new characters in this world and seeing what happens next! Gia and Jackson were so naturally drawn to each other and even though they were fake dating for a while, there was none of the awkward and they just felt so natural together and like they were 1000% meant to be! I loved that!
I also am a sucker for celebrity stories and this one was so well done! I loved when Jackson stood up for Gia, that was one of my favorite scenes! Definitely check out “Anything That You Need,” and it’s now available today!!🎤🌻
*I received a copy of the book from the author, all opinions are my own.
This book was so sweet and enjoyable. Gia and Jackson were so fun to read about and I really had fun “visiting” this small town again!
Gia is famous and she just wants to hide out for a while and have some peace and quiet. Jackson wants to avoid wealthy people, he had enough of that growing up. But when he stumbles upon Gia and starts to realize that maybe he grew up with some misconceptions about people, the tables start to turn. And, when he might lose the farm if he doesn’t try this crazy idea of his and Gia’s, well maybe he’ll finally realize what real love looks like.
I adored Gia in this book. She was kind hearted and down to earth. Jackson was a sweetheart and I loved his caring nature. I really loved all the side characters and the dynamic they brought as well. If you’re looking for a lighthearted romance with a small town feel, read this one today!
I was provided an ARC of this book. Thank you to the author! All opinions expressed are my own.
This is the first book by Mary that I am reading and it did not disappoint.
Gia is a country music legend but she is now glamping in a small town where she means Jackson. He tends to the flower farm of his grandparents.
Jackson needs to Try Dating so that he can save the fam going to his parents whom he despise and Gia needs a boyfriend to save her from overbearing fans. Solution? Let’s fake date.
This book is fades after kissing romance, which is though not new to me but I tend to avoid it but the tension between the characters burnt me from point to point. I loved the Relationship Verification Case File by the Ole Timers which was funny and creepy as hell 😂
“I think you’re a woman who can do anything she puts her mind to. So, please. Just…” I took in a big breath. “Just put your mind to me.”
I loved Gina’s family and can’t wait to see more of them 💙
Goodness but this was a fun read! I’ve only read snippets of Mary’s books before but I can definitely say I’m a fan of her writing for sure now. I loved the celebrity angle but it was the fabulous friendship turned love story that I enjoyed most of all. Henryville Township is a wonderful town that I’d move to in a heartbeat. Not only is it filled with lovely people, it has some epic sounding restaurants too. It was the perfect setting for Gia and Jackson to find real love and support. So, if you’re looking for a story (and series) that gives you plenty of swoon with some marvelous depth, look no further than this one and its companions. I’m definitely going to find whatever else Mary has written so I can love those books too.
I received a complimentary ARC of this book from the author via BookFunnel. I am not required by anyone to write a positive review and the opinions expressed herein are entirely my own.
Reader’s Notes : I absolutely loved Gia & Jackson. Gia is the sweetheart country star. Jackson is the dreamy flower farmer. These two have just met but have a connection. Jackson says he had no plans to marry and Gia has no time for a relationship always on tour but when these two have to enter into a fake relationship will they be able to deny their connection?
This one is dual point of view, sweet, clean romcom. This is third in the series but can be read as a standalone. This is my first by Mary Carson but most certainly won’t be my last and I really hope to go back and read the rest of the series. Jackson & Gia love story is full of swoony moments once I got started in the story I didn’t want to put it down.
Things I Loved: * Gia’s family ( I really loved her brother and hope he gets his own love story one day.) * That Jackson owns a flower farm * Jackson’s protective nature *so many of the Side characters ❤️ * the small town * the ole timers
Some Tropes Included : fake relationship, age gape, he falls first, protective male main character
"Anything That You Need" is a sweet romance that had me hooked from the first chapter. The author skillfully weaves a tale of love that is not only cute but also deeply engaging. The chemistry between the characters is palpable, and their journey is both heartwarming and captivating.
One of the book's strongest assets is its well-developed characters. Each one is unique, relatable, and easy to love. The author has a knack for bringing them to life, making me feel invested in their joys and sorrows. It's this emotional connection that elevates the story beyond a typical romance.
And let's talk about the ending – it's nothing short of great. Without spoiling anything, it beautifully wraps up the narrative, leaving me with a satisfying sense of closure. "Anything That You Need" is a must-read for anyone seeking a delightful romance with characters you'll undoubtedly fall in love with.
Gia is a famous country star looking to lay low while glamping (yes we get to see Quinn and Jasmine in this one!) in a small town. When things don’t go according to plans and people start to figure out where she is, she enlist Jackson to be her fake boyfriend. Jackson (who is never ever getting married or settling down) finds his own reasons to play along. This book is so sweet and witty! Plus we get to hang with a few of our favorite past characters (including chef Mike!) A few of my favorite moments: 🎸 “I rubbed the center of my chest. I missed those old folks” ~jackson *thinking of my own grandparents 🎸The roll top desk 😭😭❤️❤️ 🎸Beyoncé the chicken makes a come back 😂😂 🎸The Gossip Mongers 🎸“But I saved the cat” hahaha 🎸The satin sheets 🤣😂 🎸 J+G 🥺🥺
I can’t wait for the next one!! I am already ready for Grace’s story!! ❤️❤️
Take one top of the charts country music star on a getaway at a Glamping resort in a small town. Mix in one flower grower who's business adjoins the Glamping resort. Mix together in a chance meeting. Simmer a few days as the star and the flower grower have sparks ignite, but neither admits the attraction. Sit back and enjoy the story as they enter in a mutually beneficial fake relationship. Prepare for a fun read as new and old characters from the series meet along the way. (Although characters from previous books in the series are included, they are introduced and incorporated so that if you haven't read those books, you will have any vital information necessary.) So much fun from beginning to end. Delightful and kept me reading late into the night to find out how it ends.
3.5 stars. This one was cute! I really liked that they both had a good reason for wanting a fake relationship. It was fun seeing how they dealt with her fame, and I liked the fun side characters, especially the gossipy old timers! I did wish there was a bit more conflict, or issues for them to overcome or something. The drama with his parents really wasn't that dire, so I was hoping for more. But I liked how it ended, with the will and their plan to work things out during her tour. It was a fun read, and the snippet from the next book sounds great!
Content: clean.
I received this book free from the publisher/author. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
I have read the other books in this series, so I was very excited to read this book! Gia is a country music star, while Jackson is your laid back small town farm boy. His grandma passed and finds out that he has to try to find love to inherit the flower farm he has loved and worked at work years. Meanwhile, Gia has an issue with being out in public and how some men treat her. She wants to find a fake boyfriend because men tend to leave her alone when she has a man with her. She meets Jackson while he’s setting up for a wedding and she decides to ask him if he’ll be her fake boyfriend. He laughs as he was going to ask her to be his fake girlfriend. We all know how the fake dating trope seems to go. They always end up real dating and really falling in love. This is a super cute love story!
Mary Carson’s “Anything that You Need,” is a sweet, funny, tender romantic comedy. I loved how the main characters were so easy and comfortable with each other, even though one is famous and one is a fan.
One of my favorite lines talks about, “…thinking about relationships that have slipped away and relationships that never were, yet somehow, you felt the loss all the same…” Oh sugar! Mary Carson can write!!
Keep your eyes open for the sweet sunflower scene! So touching! I would definitely recommend this book if you enjoy tender, funny, clean rom/coms! I was given this book as an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
If you are after a fun, romantic escape the Anything series by a Mary Carson is a great place to start. In book three, country music star, Gia is getting some much needed time away from it all, when she needs a fake boyfriend, flower grower Jackson fits the bill perfectly. Beautifully romantic, with cameo appearances by much loved characters from previous books, great humour that had me laughing often, emotional, heartfelt and heartwarming, a friendship group that always have each other’s back and a sweetness that delivers a perfect HEA.
I received a copy from the author and this is my voluntary review.
Gia and Jackson's story was a delightful read. I was drawn into their story from the start, the characters were amazing, their banter, and witty dialogue kept you glued to the pages!! The family and friends were wonderfully awesome made you feel so welcome into this small town. The author helped to protrayed how life could be for a star...no privacy and how lonely it could be for them, I liked that feel of realistic life. I laughed at the scene of the "ole timers" meeting...that was classically in a small town!! 😂 I recommend this book especially on a rainy day afternoon😉 with a cup of favorite beverage!!
I received this as an ARC and leaving my honest opinion voluntarily.
This is a dual pov, clean romance. It is the third book in the series but can easily be read as a stand alone.
I love how Jackson and Gia just instantly click. They don’t expect anything from one another besides a friend but they get so much more than they bargain for. I love that they encourage each other and help achieve each others dreams even when it’s not the most easy path for them. This story flowed so well and I absolutely loved that we got a deeper glance into the “old timers” (if you read the previous books, you will understand). Plus you get a glimpse into Grace’s soon to be story at the end.
The latest addition to author Mary Carson’s ‘The Anything’ series, Anything That You Need’ is a sweet and clean standalone small town romance featuring Nashville music sensation Gia Nyx falling for flower farmer Jackson Reed during a staged fake relationship that is anything but! Supporting Gia and Nicks in their charade are a large cast of charming and comical family and friends. A delightful and heartwarming addition to the ‘Anything’ series that includes an introduction to the author’s next story, ‘Pucks and Pigskins’. I can’t wait!
absolutely a win In the beginning I was sceptical whether Gia and Jackson would make it: she is a celebrity and he is more the reclusive type. I liked how they supported each other and slowly realised they complement each other perfectly, both slowly learning they can trust each other which is a crucial element for a working relationship. Usually I'm not much into celebrity stories but I just love small towns, so reading this book was an absolute win for me. I received this book as a review copy.
Those things can go really well together or horribly wrong. For country singing star Gia, she enjoys it all. Being on vacation for six weeks, where she meets Jackson Reed, has her reassessing her life. Jackson's parents are the exact opposites of Gia's, and the reason Jackson never wants to marry. So many good surprises in this delightful story and one not so good. After numerous fun and interesting events in the story, it comes together with a heartwarming ending. Great story with great characters.
“Anything that you Need” by Mary Carson Sometimes life surprises you I loved this story. I laughed and I cried, there were ‘oh-no’ moments and “YES!!” moments, too. There was a moment where I really wanted to read the ending, before finishing the story… but I did not cheat and enjoyed the trip just the way the author wrote it. Happy Reading ! ! Note: This review expresses my honest opinion. I received an ARC of this story from the author via Bookfunnel
