Wing Witch: a Fated Mates Purr-fect Pairing Urban Fantasy Romance

Rate this book
Sookie was a goddess in the kitchen, but a mediocre witch at best. Her spells seemed to take on a life of their own, to often hilarious–usually harmless–results. She just wanted her wings to be tastier. It was only a little spell, a few herbs and spices added to the sauce, a little rhyme to bind it together, and just a taste of razzle dazzle. Instead of bringing customers back for more finger-licking goodness, she found herself with a shifter problem. Specifically, a sexy, horny and tad bit geeky soul mate, who just wants to love her (and, ahem, love her). Worst part? The spice seemed to have settled in her girly bits, which sets them and her soul on fire every time she sees him.

Roman, a maine coon shifter, was without a cluster or a place in the world. When the mating call hit him between the eyes, he heeded it instantly. His body was burning for his one true mate. If only he could convince her to give him a chance.

Something is disrupting the careful balance holding the spells in place that keep the town safe. Eyes are pointed at Roman and the other supernatural beings who have begun settling in Winter Haven, and the call to kick them to the curb comes all too soon. Can Sookie learn to accept her mate's claim and heed the call of their bond? Will Roman lose the one connection he has left? Can love win the day and set about righting the wrongs, or are they destined to be star-crossed lovers? And what will happen to Witchy Wings, stuck in the middle of all of the chaos? Cause all Sookie wanted to do was show people nerdy girls can make hot sauce too.

Winter Haven is about to get hot

Small town romance plus witches and shifters? Say less! Kat and Mariah have once again created a fantastic world of yummy paranormal romance mixed with urban fantasy and fantastic characters that will immediately make you fall in love. Sookie is the freaking best. She’s sassy, nerdy, and such a sweet character. It’s easy to feel protective of her especially when the self proclaimed Worst Witch is just such a good person. Roman is freaking hot. Is it just par for the course that shifter men have this cocky attitude and confidence? He knows what he wants and goes for it. Their first official meet cute is both holy cannoli hot and laugh out loud funny. In a town full of secrets that has kept its townspeople in the dark, this plot sucks you in and I know we are just getting started. Mariah and Kat have created amazing characters and a story that is equal parts steamy, heartwarming and fun. The nod to all things nerdy is so fun, and the friendship between Sookie and Jemma has that found family feel that warms your heart. I love the possessiveness and the perfect match feeling you get from Fated Mates, and Roman and Sookie really are perfect for each other. There is so much more than meets the eye with the town of Winter Haven, and we barely scratch the surface in Wing Witch. This book is a great start to what I’m sure is going to be a phenomenal series. Kat and Mariah already have me hooked and I can’t wait to see what is in store for the small town. If you love fated mates, small town romance and an intriguing plot that will keep you on your toes.. pick up Wing Witch, I’m sure you love it as much as I did!

Combining two of my favorite things, paranormal romance and cats, Mariah Thayer and K.O. Newman have once again created a story with heat, heart and humor. Sookie is the self-proclaimed “worst witch” in a hidden community of witches. As the owner of the local wing restaurant, Witchy Wings, she tries to bring more customers in, however ends up bringing in her fated mate in the form of Roman, a Maine Coon shifter. No outsider has been into the community in decades so needless to say Roman makes some waves. Between Sookie and Roman, and the other side characters (y’all will love Jemma) this book feels like a cozy small town romance combined with a spicy paranormal romance. With such a great start in “Wing Witch”, I can’t wait to read the rest of this series!
