A great beginners guide!
My biggest issue: on page 51 it says you can cleanse your crystals with water. It's not until page 144 where she says it's not safe to do so with some crystals. It should not take 93 pages to say that, it should be stated right along water cleansing on page 51.
Despite that, this book is great! It is heavy on the love and light; there's zero banishing spells or anything "negative". But she touches on plenty of things that other books don't. She talks about shapes of crystals, crystal grids, and scrying among the normal topics like colours, correspondences, cleansing, etc.
It includes 50 crystals, you'll probably know them all. I loved, loved, loved that she included a works cited section and an index. Occult books need more transparency! Overall, a great book and I'm happy my library carries it.

Crystal Magick! I’ve been waiting for this… another fascinating book by Judy Ann Nock. Her books are wonderfully written and offer a great introduction to anyone interested in modern witchcraft.

The mention of being careful with crystals in water is presented far too late into this book. There are countless rituals and spells involving water before it is even mentioned that it can be dangerous to put certain crystals in water. This book is otherwise very good and informative for a beginner interested in working with crystals. But as a modern guide, this information should be emphasised for a beginner and should be mentioned immediately.

Exactly what you'd expect from a book of Crystal Magick. This is actually a solid book about the topic, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in Crystal Magick. Yes, it's a bit strong on the love and light Wicca bits (and does verge close to toxic positivity), but still very accessible for those of any path.
