The "slitter", the really bad guy from Badlands, book #1, is about to go to trial but someone wants to stop it from happening. Seems the creep actually has a fan that idolizes him. Vic has always depended on paranormal info from Simon, but this time they work the case tightly together. Along with the case, and on a happier note, they are finally planning their wedding. I know that this is probably creeping up to ending this wonderful series but I really, really, really want it to go on somehow. I think Morgan Brice can come up with a way to make this happen. (fingers crossed) I've reread this series so many times I've lost count. I love Simon and Vic as individual characters and as a couple. Their relationship feels so real, something that an actual real life couple would go through. They have arguments and then hot make ups. There are a few work problems, that usually aren't too serious like being late to dinner. Simon now has so much support from friends and Vic's family who accepted him and truly love him. His past with his ex and his own " sweet" mother was an unbelievable nightmare. Vic and Simon's relationship keeps getting stronger with every new book...and I hope all us fans are going to be invited to the wedding.

Morgan Brice's Badlands series would make such a fantastic TV show.

This episode brings back some of the plots from the first book in the series as the serial killer from Badlands comes up for trial.

There's all kinds of strange events occurring, people are having unusually bad nightmares, curses are affecting the most prominent people involved in the trial and there's potentially a second serial killer in Myrtle Beach that no-one knew about!

For Simon and Vic, there's the added complications of trying to organise their wedding too but, thankfully, there's no messing about with their relationship, the medium and his detective partner are as solid as ever.

This was a well-paced narrative that never threw too much into the story at once, it switched between the domestic side with Simon and Vic's day to day life and then jumped heavily into the paranormal element which makes these books such a great read.

I found this particular plotline to be completely engaging, I liked the creepy vibe throughout, loved seeing Simon's privateer ghostly ancestor Dante again, and I'm always up for appearances from Miss Eppie!

Another great addition to the series.

#ARC kindly received from the author in return for an honest and unbiased review

“You’ve heard of the Rule of Three?” Simon nodded. “Whatever energy you send into the world comes back to you three times over.”

Back into the Badlands series with No Surrender, we follow Simon and Vic as they traverse their way into planning their wedding and looking for a person who is attacking people through the mail. This has a connection with the 1st book and the serial murderer, but also collects information for a cold case, which makes it more fresh to read and enjoy.

I love cold case books, so bringing that with the paranormal situation brings together things I enjoy, and I found myself really liking this book. Overall, this series is super enjoyable, and it’s great to see Vic and Simon grow as characters and partners in life.

I love the recurring characters alongside learning about other supernatural beings and mythology throughout the United States. Also, they meet and talk to other people in the novellas that I don’t read, but you get enough information to be able to pull those side quest books into this main series without having to read them.

Overall, I enjoyed this a lot, and I can’t wait to conclude the series soon.

I loved getting to revisit Simon and Vic again. I’m even more thrilled that the wedding plans are moving along. That will be a day I hope we all get to read- along with no hijinx interrupting the guys’ big day. Lol.

This story, however, was well mixed up and written. I loved having 2 separate mysteries that were tangled together yet still their own. Getting justice for some cold cases, stopping a new bad guy, and working with new people who believed in them- this was a great book.

Absolutely loved it.

It all began with a serial killer on the loose in Myrtle Beach. I was captivated from that first book and never been disappointed by the Badlands series ever since. A blend of opposites attract romantic suspense and paranormal that left me as intrigued by the characters and their relationship as much as the supernatural murder mysteries they solve. Kale Williams is the sensational voice of the series who takes the helm once again bringing Morgan Brice’s Vic and Simon to vivid life.

No Surrender is part of an ongoing story in many ways so should be read in order after the earlier entries in the series.

Simon, a strong psychic medium, and Vic, a seasoned police detective, are in the middle of wedding plans, facing a trial that is very personal to them both, and now, it seems, The Slitter, has a fan out there doing copycat killing. Simon and Vic along with their familiar detecting and paranormal helpers are put right back in the maelstrom once again.

I enjoyed this thrillerish new installment and I was relieved that though Simon and Vic have their struggles balancing careers, feelings, and external issues, this last period before they tie the knot isn’t them drama-ing up things. Simon has found someone who accepts him completely including his ability with ghosts and wants to live openly in a loving, committed relationship. Vic has found a relationship partner who cares deeply and won’t stab him in the back just like he’s on a police force with a boss and partner who are on his side, too. They hold to each other and stand together. It takes both of them operating as a team and trusting each other’s gifts. And, have to put it out there, that they are as sizzling hot as ever together.
Things ratchet up on the suspense as they are pursued almost as much as they track the ruthless killer and some cold cases. The paranormal side is strong and gives that thriller vibe in a great setting of the Myrtle Beach environs. They get help from their regular crew which now includes Simon’s ghostly ancestor. It felt like a series finale though I have no idea if there will be more (please let there be more).

Kale Williams masterfully vocalizes both Simon and Vic in alternating chapters along with the broader cast of characters so well. I think if I read the books I’d still hear his voice work for everyone. As to the story, he makes a satisfying story even more fabulous and catches the pacing and tone that had me listening intently and not wanting to set it aside.

All in all, my impatient wait was well rewarded with this latest in the series. This is for those who enjoy spicy m/m romance, gritty suspense, and darker magic and ghostly manifestations.

I rec’d an audio version through Tantor Audio to listen to in exchange for an honest review.

No Surrender is book 4 in Morgan Brice's Badlands series. A local journalist with whom Detective Vic D'Amato was friendly asked him to investigate a cold case of several women who disappeared without a trace in the 1980s. Detective Vic D'Amato and his partner are preparing the case against the serial killer who introduced Vic to Simon Kincaide. However, funny things were happening to everyone involved in this case. Will Detective Vic D'Amato and Simon Kincaide be able to work out what is happening with both cases to find closure, or will these two cases be the ones that will destroy them both? The readers of No Surrender will continue to follow Detective Vic D'Amato and Simon Kincaide to discover what happens.

The Badlands series has romance, paranormal, and crime elements that intertwine with the plot. No Surrender did not disappoint, and I engaged with the story and the characters from the start and continued to the end. I love Morgan Brice's portrayal of his characters and how they interact throughout this book. No Surrender is well-written and researched by Morgan Brice. I like Morgan Brice's description of the settings of No Surrender, which complemented the book's plot.

The readers of No Surrender will understand the importance of families having closure about their missing family members and the law enforcement officers who investigate.

I recommend this book.

It’s always a pleasure to return to Vic and Simon for another round of paranormal intrigue. This time around, they’re waiting on the trial from the Slitter case from the first book of the series, but there are strange things happening that seem to be tied to the case, possibly putting it in jeopardy. Everyone involved in the case has become a target, so it’s a race to figure out what’s going on.

To complicate things, there is also a set of cold cases from the eighties brought to their attention that may be tied to what’s happening…and you know that means more ghostly contacts to keep things interesting. We’re also treated to an appearance by Simon’s own ghost relative, Dante, to try and help with the cold cases.

As I’ve come to expect from this author and this series, there’s enough going on to keep you on your toes and guessing through much of the story. I did feel like the resolutions to the different aspects going on felt a little rushed this time in the last quarter of the book, like things were jumping quickly from one thing to another so to me it seemed more tell than show, but I still enjoyed the reveals as they happened.

A fun bonus was the wedding planning for Vic and Simon…I kinda hope to get an invite as it sounds like it’s going to be a great time ;-)

No Surrender was a strong 4-star read for me, and added a nice twist to the series by revisiting their first case. While you probably could read this one on its own, my recommendation would be to read the series in order for a more complete background on the prior events and a better feel for the fierce connection between the two main characters.

The forthcoming Slitter trial is shaping up to the biggest trial the residents of Myrtle Beach have ever seen.
In the first Badlands book - of the same name - psychic Simon Kincaide - owner of Grand Strand Ghost Tours - joined forces with cop Vic D'Amato to find a serial killer preying on the locals, and falling in love at the same time.
The killer, William Fischer was apprehended but the use of 'woo woo stuff' to catch him, makes the trial high profile.
With the trial taking part in the 'Bible Belt', the DA getting anonymous notes with vague threats, the psychic angle and the killer having groupies, the whole thing was turning into a media circus with the possibility of copycats.
Meanwhile, Simon is juggling visions of victims/ghosts from the '80s, dodging reporters and planning a wedding; kind of like a modern Prince Humperdinck in The Princess Bride; "I've got my country's 500th anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, my wife to murder and Guilder to frame for it; I'm swamped."
Thank goodness Simon's Skeleton Crew is at hand to help. They are a mixture of transient or young folk with psychic powers and Simon acts as an unofficial mentor. Along with Miss Eppie who works with hoodoo and Gabriella a bruja, the team is a sort of Supernatural/Psychic Neighborhood Watch who help each other in times of need.
Though you can read this book as a standalone, there's a lot of satisfaction if you've read Badlands first, in terms of the overreaching story arc and character progression.
Simon and Vic have faced a few challenges along the way, including bigoted family members, and the odd murder or ten, but it has cemented their relationship. They've grown to love, depend on and trust one another, and support each other through their PTSD.
There's also a decent amount of steamy scenes between the two, which definitely hits the spot!
I love this magnificent found family, the fact that the gay characters are fully drawn and have good times as well as the bad.
The various supernatural and dangerous elements sustain tension whilst the love story and the mysteries keep it rattling along at a steady pace.
Fans of Morgan Brice/Gail Martin, will also enjoy cameos of characters from her various intertwined series.
I adored this book and highly anticipate the soon-to-be wedding of our two heroes.

5 Stars!

Vic and Simon are back in another action-packed, heart-pounding, wedding-planning installment of the Badlands series, which btw, might be my favorite series by Ms. Brice, just don't tell Seth and Evan. ;)

I love how Vic and Simon's chemistry, relationship, and work partnership keep getting stronger with each installment. They're just so fantastic together, complementing each other's strengths and weaknesses. Watching them spending time together outside of their work environments and planning their wedding just cemented why I love them as a couple.

The cases were intriguing and kind of scary in certain parts, but also completely engrossing. I couldn't put down the book until the very last page and I was very glad everything got resolved in a satisfying manner.

This series just keeps getting and better and I'm already looking forward to what Ms. Brice might have in store for Vic and Simon next! Super recommendable!

Simon and Vic are an established couple with plenty of adventures behind them (if you haven’t read the earlier books in the series, check them out, they offer excellent context for the world the characters live in and some previous plot lines are relevant in this book, plus the development of their relationship, and, of course they’re also just really good). This book showcases all of the elements I love about the series as a whole: an interesting blend of intrigue, adventure, the paranormal, and romance: Vic and Simon are, in addition to everything else, dealing with wedding planning. Well worth a read.

this book really came around full circle. if i didn't know better i would call this a series ending, becuase the first case is wrapped of finally and it solved a bunch of cold cases and Vic and Simon have a venue are are setting a date for the wedding. As always, the pacing of this book was just right, just the right amount of danger and suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat. just the ending of this one held so much more satisfaction that the other books. like, i was able to go to bed with out worrying over my favorite fictional couple. they are perfect partners in life and at work and this book is where you realize they realize it and that this relationship is solid. no more doubts, no more questions, just fun supernatural mysteries from here on out, lol

4.5 stars. Audiobook. Paranormal romance, contemporary setting, ocean-side boardwalk town, ghosts tour guide/medium and homicide detective. Low drama, low angst, medium spice. Series of 6 books, following the same couple, must be read in order. Book after book held interesting mysteries that required police work and paranormal talents to tackle. Very well done, I read them one after the other and the series stayed interesting. Narration by Kale Williams was great, multiple characters voices done really well.

There are multiple series from this author in this same universe/timeline, some cameos of other characters, but nothing integral to this series.

The case that brought Simon and Vic together is finally going to trial. The two of them have come so far. Vic used to doubt Simon's abilities but now he relies on them. This time the two are dealing with murder and cursed objects that may delay the trial.

The book pulls you in. The narrator, Kale Williams, is fabulous.

"No Surrender" by Morgan Brice is book four in the "Badlands" series. I absolutely love where this series is heading, and with each book, I find myself adoring the characters more and more. Vic once again needs his fiance Simon's help with a cold case. Simon uses his psychic abilities to assist Vic and his work partner, Ross. Simon is my favorite character in this series, and I think the way he helps out with the cases is fun to read. If you want a book that is packed with non-stop adventure, then this is the book for you.

Updated 4/12/23 to add my comments about the audiobook:
Audiobook Review:
Overall – 5
Performance – 5
Story – 5

I Love Vic and Simon!

I read this book with my eyes when it was released last year and I loved it. I was so happy to get a review copy of the audiobook because I enjoy Kale Williams performances of Morgan Brice’s books. I think he does the perfect voices for Vic and Simon. I’ve never been disappointed when listening to a book that he performs. There isn’t anything else for me to say other than I what I already said when I reviewed the ebook last year so I’ve pasted that below:

Original review:

OMG, Morgan Brice sure does like to put Vic and Simon – and a few other characters – through the wringer. Just when I thought things were finally going smoothly and they had everything figured out, she threw something else at them.

There are so many good things about this book it’s hard to know where to start. I loved all of the witty banter between the characters and especially between Vic and Simon. I also enjoyed the glimpses of characters from other books in the worlds created by Morgan Brice and her alter-ego Gail Z. Martin.

As I’ve said many times before, the books in this series really can be read as standalones because Ms. Brice gives you the background you need to know the characters. I didn’t read them in the exact order and never felt lost. I will admit though, it might be more fun to read them in order.

This book gripped me from beginning to end. It was at times terrifying when it looked like the bad guys might win, but it was also light-hearted enough in places too keep it from feeling too dark.

If you’re looking for hot and sexy you won’t really find it in this book, although Vic and Simon do get it on a few times. What you will get is lots of action, adventure, mystery and suspense, and a great cast of characters that I can’t wait to hear more from.

A copy of this book was provided to me at my request but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.

I really enjoyed this newest addition to the Badlands series. Simon and Vic are my favorite Morgan Brice/Gail Martin characters so I was thrilled to have another new book in their series.

In this series, Vic and Simon are bracing for the upcoming trial of the Strand Slitter, the case from book one. In addition they are planning for their upcoming wedding, a reporter has approached Vic about the possibility of a serial killer from 40 years ago, and strange things are happening related to the trial. So there’s lots of action!

The storylines all meld together in an intriguing way and the elements related to the people involved in the trial is such a great story device. It is a brilliant idea and all kinds of creepy. Really good storytelling.

The suspense in each storyline builds and as each part is resolved it builds the suspense for the remaining parts. Each resolution is action packed and full of paranormal activity and had me holding my breath. I love the way Brice builds the tension and her use of folklore and secondary characters to help advance the storyline.

The ending makes for a good resolution and I always like the afterword where the author talks about the setting and what’s real, what isn’t and what is fiction but based on reality. Another part of being a Martin/Brice fan is how she keeps her universes real and fresh for her readers through her Facebook pages and other communication. Places like Myrtle Beach, Long Lake, Charleston, etc. are continually mentioned and presented via photographs and stories so we feel like we can fully connect with the characters.

I look forward to the next book in the series.

🎧Audiobook Review🎧
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Performance: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"No Surrender" by Morgan Brice certainly won't be my last book by this author. I really liked the writing style. Morgan Brice manages to tell the story in such detail that you feel like you are right there. The story was exciting and captivating at the same time. I found the two main characters Simon and Vic likeable, as well as Ross, Vic's partner.
The trial of the slasher is getting closer and that means stress for Vic and Simon. And the reporters don't want to miss a thing either, but unforeseen circumstances seem to put the trial in danger of being postponed. When a series of "accidents" befall the people involved in the trial, Simon and Vic set out to find the culprit.

But it's not all about action and suspense in the form of unpredictable twists and turns. Simon and Vic's story is also heartwarming, especially in regards to their upcoming wedding.
The different storylines alternately provide romantic moments while reading, then again a lot of suspense or even horror. And in the end, they are cleverly resolved and brought together by Morgan Brice. And hovering over it all is the constant suspense of whether they will even make it to the trial. This was really well done and so much fun to be a part of in Myrtle Beach.

Kale Williams was phenomenal as the narrator. He brought the story to life and he gave the characters perfectly fitting voices. He portrayed the emotions very well and it was an aboslute pleasure for me to listen to him. He made a great story even better! I look forward to another audiobook with Williams and Brice!

The Slitter case has finally come to trial finally, and trouble is stirring once again for Simon, Vic, and the MBPD. Mysterious mail is causing the receiver to have mysterious accidents. If that wasn't bad enough it turns out the Slitter wasn't Myrtle Beach first serial killer, when those ghosts along with a persistent reporter cause them to look into and hopefully solve that case as well as the mystery mail. The action is even better and Simon & Vic start looking at putting together their perfect wedding.

I was literally counting down the days until this audiobook release and I am SO thrilled that it lived up to my internal hype lol

Now, I'm not CERTAIN if this is bias just from me having read the books leading up to this one half a dozen times, but I felt like this one was nice and fresh.

It had a really good balance of magic and detective work which I loved.

I also loved that the author seems to be steadily stepping back from sex scenes that add exactly nothing to the progression of either character development, relationship development, or plot development. Like, this book still has some sexy times, but they're PART of the story, not just repetitive scenes that are there just sort of as filler. There's cute scenes where they're sort of teasing each other and I loved those so much more than the straight up porn parts from earlier in the series.

In general, I feel like there were a lot of point in this book that had be chuckling or laughing out loud - just really natural integrations of humor between the characters.

I loooove Michelle and I'm so glad she's back in this book and doing so well ❤❤❤

I missed Tracey a little. She wasn't in it as much.

Lots of good whump in this one. Big whump party. Everyone is invited lol

I liked that there were some clever setups that made the ending make a lot of sense and not just be like um oh okay. Like, it was the type of ending that could have very easily been a cop out, but it was setup in advance without being super blatant about it so I was happy.

I liked that there was a lot going on in this book - like... a LOT - but it all really fit together and made sense, which made for a story that was full of content without filler and without feeling forced.

Let's see, what else did I want to gush about...

Oh, the audiobook narrator did a fantastic job as always. So happy to have this guy for the whole series so far.

The stuff with Dante just sorta chillin' with them is wonderful.

There was probably more but that's all I can think of for now. I really, really, REALLY hope there will be more books in this series. I have having all KINDS of ideas about potential changes that could happen to Simon's abilities considering that he technically I just... I want so much for something to happen with that. And the wedding! I wonder if we'll get content with that.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go read this again. Just because I can.

This is one of my favourite series by this author. I love the mix of relationship, supernatural, and action/drama. This story didn’t let up as Simon and Vic come up against some nasties on all fronts. I loved the references to the author’s wider world, and the found family feel of the supporting cast.

I love how this story links back to the first case Simon and Vic solved together, and when they first met. They’ve come a long way with Vic sceptical at first about Simon’s abilities to now planning to invite a vampire to their wedding. I love how protective they are of each other and how they’ll put themselves at risk to do so, and then get angry that the other has done just that. I thought Simon still dealing with PTSD and having nightmares from that original case is realistic, considering he nearly died.

Vic’s police partner, Ross, plays a decent sized role in this story. I like how he and Captain Hargreaves now accept Simon’s abilities, and find out up close how dangerous the supernatural can be in the wrong hands. I love Dante and enjoyed seeing him again. His and Simon’s banter is fun. Friendship plays a strong role in the story too. I love Tracy and Miss Eppie, who doesn’t hesitate in telling Simon what she thinks of their dangerous plans. Gabriella and Pete are good friends and support, and I like Simon’s skeleton crew.

The story was creepy with cursed objects, an angry ghost, and a linked cold case. Using cursed objects is a brilliant yet nasty idea, and I liked how the case gets personal very quickly. I like how the human world creeps in too with the threat of developers and promoters ready to protect their stake in Myrtle Beach. I love how real the supernatural threats are in that it’s never easy taking them down, and there are consequences for those involved.

The wedding part of the story adds some lightness and sweetness, and I’m looking forward to reading about their ceremony, especially as it sounds like everyone will be there.

“No Surrender” by Morgan Brice is part of the ‘Badlands’ series that features Simon Kincaid and his fiance Vic D’Amato, who use their skills as a psychic medium and homicide detective, respectively, to solve paranormal cases. Mysterious curses threaten to derail an important trial, complicated by a very poorly investigated cold case involving missing women. The pair will have to use all the resources they can find to resolve the cases, but even that may not be enough to keep them safe from a determined killer.

This exciting gay paranormal mystery and romance continues to highlight the challenges of solving cases when the only witnesses are dead, and the skills needed are highly specialized and require sometimes unorthodox methods. It is always fascinating to get glimpses of the arcane abilities that Simon displays, but it’s wonderful to see how far his relationship with Vic has progressed from those early days of suspicion and doubt. The love that the two have for each other shines through clearly, and the trust and faith that underpins their connection only deepens as the series continues.

This author has the talent to make these characters come alive and become folks one would love to know (not so sure about interacting with the ghosts, though). The story is exciting and holds one’s attention, not only because of the uniqueness of the crime-solving, but because many of the secondary characters are so fascinating as well. I always am excited to see a new episode in these guys’ lives, and I enjoy getting cameos from characters in the author’s other series. Although this probably can be read as a stand-alone book, it will be much more enjoyable if the other stories in the series have been read. Be prepared to stay up all night to finish the story as you get caught up in the enthralling and thrilling action.

Hold on tight for this one - plenty of chaos and turbulence are ahead!

No Surrender, the fourth book in Morgan Brice's Badlands series, is a fast-paced, action-packed, spine-tingling, laugh-out-loud, heart-melting, hair-raising paranormal romantic suspense that is guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat.
(that was a mouthful)

Simon, a psychic medium, and Vic, a homicide detective find themselves embroiled in a case that looks to be a copycat killer, and he's targeting people who are involved in the original case. Simon and Vic are determined to stop the copycat killer, but they soon realize that they're not the only ones who are after him.
While they investigate the killer and the threat of an ancient evil that is rising to power they also deal with the challenges of their new relationship and the spotlight that comes with it.

Thank goodness they have plenty of help -
both the supernatural and the kind-of-sort-of normal type ;)

This offered up a bit of everything from steamy rock solid romance to some funny as Hades supporting characters. Loved the chosen family here. Brice did an excellent job of creating a believable and suspenseful world, easily transporting the reader. The characters were well-developed and relatable, and the plot is full of twists and turns that kept me guessing until the very end.
The narration was spot-on and just added to the magic for me.

This series has been sitting on my TBR shelf and now I wish I had gotten to it sooner. I did drop in here but no worries as the author did a great job of updating me with past events without dragging the story down. I do intend to stay with the audio of the series as I go back to the beginning. Just really enjoyed the narration and the way the cast came to life.

Simon and Vic are back! (an audio review)

The Badlands was the first Morgan Brice series I ever embarked upon and although I love Witchbane—and some of the others—it continues to be my favorite.

In other words, I was thrilled to dive into another book with my favorite men. They’ve come a long way since I first met them. Simon’s settled into his post-academic career. He runs his ghost tour business as well as his psychic business. As demonstrated in this book, he does a lot of good in that role.

Vic’s also made progress. He’s accepted Simon’s gift and is now willing to call on his fiancé to help out with police affairs. That help is especially appreciated in this new case. Well, or an old case. Together, they’d jailed the Slitter. Now the Slitter’s trial is coming up and all the people involved in the case – police, DA, judge – are all getting hurt or sick. If Simon can’t help solve the problem of who is doing this, the trial might not take place.

Then there are also the disappearances that one of Simon’s clients has brought to the surface. Simon sees a dead woman and is convinced she met with foul play. Now he wants that investigation reopened so the victims might have some peace.

There’s a whole ton of stuff going on in this book. Oh, yeah, and the men are trying to plan their wedding. Unique venue, anyone?

I thoroughly enjoyed the book – especially Kale Williams’ wonderful narration. I just love these guys and will always seize any audiobook they’re in.

The next in the *Badlands* series brings us back to Myrtle Beach and to Simon and Vic’s first adventure as the trial for the serial killer they dealt with in the first book nears. To complicate what already promises to be a stressful time dredging up memories where both Simon and Vic were in grave danger, is a potential copycat killer, suspicious cursed objects aimed at key members of the prosecution, and a forgotten serial killer from the 80s. All while the two are also trying to plan their wedding.

*No Surrender* gave me exactly what I always want from a Morgan Brice book. The supernatural element flawlessly mixed in with the crime-solving aspect makes for a fast-paced and exciting read that never lags. The story was gripping and added a new layer of suspense to the knowledge readers have of the beginning of the series. I also really enjoy getting to see Simon and Vic again and reading just how far they have come since they met. Working as a well-oiled team and combining their respective skills was really fun to see. In particular, the lines dividing Simon’s psychic abilities from Vic’s law enforcement responsibilities are practically nil and watching the rely on each other, especially in the most suspenseful moments was really exciting. These were mixed in with plenty of sweet and intimate moments as they discuss their impending nuptials and try and take some time to start planning their big day.

I highly recommend this series for fans of paranormal romance and mystery solving. Thank you to GRR for the ARC and 5 stars!
