I ran across the country to give myself a new start, a new life–I never thought it would end up like this.
One week I’m a janitor for the Urban Academy, a place rich in things that go bump in the night, including someone who I swear turned from a human to a beast right outside the window. The headmistress knows what I saw and her reaction was to give me a free ride to this college and make me sign a peculiar NDA.
Doesn’t matter. I’m getting a free education, room, and board, instead of working myself to the bone to afford a tiny apartment and some scraps of food.
The only thing left is to figure out what the hell they are teaching in class and catch up, plus, I have a crush on the guy who turned into the monster. And maybe one or two others…
That may be a problem.
Urban Academy Semester 2 is the second story in the brand new Urban Academy series by bestselling author Mazzy J. March. The first three books follow the story of Valentina’s new life in the city at The Academy where she learns that the world is much broader and more varied than she ever dreamed and sometimes a human girl’s fate may twine with that of another kind of being. Or three.
Mazzy J. March is a fan of all things paranormal--shifters, vampires, witches...dragons and all the many creatures that inhabit the world beyond the ordinary. She has been plotting her Academy stories for a long time and is thrilled to finally have them releasing and ever grateful to the readers who are offering such support and helping her dreams come true.
This one was much better then the first book. I thought it was over too soon but the next book here I come. I can't wait to see what happens next after the ending of this one.
I was so confused when the book started. Thought I miss read who Storm was and didn’t recall Bishop from the first book. Especially that it was him who gave her a laptop, since no name that was mentioned just a mysterious it’s me at the door. Things ramp up confusingly. She fully knows that there’s supernaturals now somehow. But she’s making friends with her job at the bar and finding out she has a mate. Or three. I like Fox. But she isn’t good at talking about her feelings And it’s weird that her scent makes people crazy. Hoping for some answers in book 3
It was so enticing that I couldn’t put it down, this book grabbed my interest from the very first page. I had to know what happened next. The story is well written with a very good storyline. Welcome to Urban Academy. This a the story of Valentina’s new life in the city at The Academy where she learns that the world is much broader and more varied than she ever dreamed, and sometimes a human girl’s fate may twine with that of another kind of being, or three. The only thing left is to figure out what the hell they are teaching in class and catch up, plus, she has a crush on the guy who turned into the monster, and maybe one or two others, that may be a problem. So with all that and more this story pulls you in and holds you tight. I can’t wait to find out what happens next. I highly recommend to everyone.
Semester 2 is another quick story. Valentina begins semester 2 and we follow along as she goes to school to work and back with a handful of bonding moments between. The three love interests, Fox, Bishop, amd Storm still don't have that much presence in this series. I have to admit I don't feel much of a connection between Valentina and the men. They are just side characters at this point.
As with the first book I didn't care for the length of this book and the lack of story progression. It was a decent read, I just wanted more.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Not so sure about this book.I'm not fond of a female having more than 1 mate. So that's actually putting me off on this book. Kind of strange from the first chapter. Most of it makes no sense. Human girl , left her sister & brother in law so the could move off to some island for work, and they haven't bothered with her in like 2 books. Weird! Now she's been in a shifter town and most hate her, has 3 so called mates, slept with only 1 . Now she's being kidnapped, and all it talks about is her scent. The academy and town are strange and pretty much out dated. Crazy story. Sorry but it doesn't make sense to me. To weird
Valentina’s life is getting interesting. She is starting the settle in, gain her confidence and make friends but, for some reason starts to attracts males who are not her mates. The men are a mix of the strong silent type and confident and charismatic but, all are hot and sexy. There are plenty of unanswered questions in this story that keep you enthralled. This is a middle book in the series and does end on a cliffhanger so if you don’t want to wait the just binge read the books once the whole series has been published.
That ending! I think I know who it was; I guess I'll see if I was right. V is becoming more comfortable in this world, too comfortable if you asked me. My only con about this series is that when Valentina sees things or receives new information about what's going on around her, she's so calm and quick to move on like she’s been in this world all of her life. I want to learn more about the guys and about what's going on with V. On to book three.
I really love this series. There is some discrepancies, because I don’t think there is enough time in the the day to go to class, clean the school (which used to take her all night to do) working at a bar and doing homework. Other than that, V is getting to know some of her mates real well. Some more than others. I believe she’s more than human. I think she’s something else also but not sure what she is. Will be interesting to see what she is.
3.5 Stars This was a good book. We get to continue in the life of Valentina and her guys. I do feel as though this book was lacking something but I can't quite put in figure on what but it was a good book overall. This book does end with another cliffy and I can't wait to see what happens in book 3.

Mazzy J March continues with Valentina, Storm, Bishop & Fox’s story. I absolutely love this series & how each of the characters develops throughout the story. This book ends on a cliffhanger & I can’t wait for the next book to come out as I want to see what happens.

Valentina's story is so intriguing. I have read two in a matter of hours.... Though I am full of questions Which I need to keep reading
Semester 2 (Urban Academy) Kindle Edition your get answers... Valentina is starting to develop and grow. This ends as a cliffhanger and I am starting book 3 now.. Definitely recommend this book📕 series 📚
This book was better then the first. There was some inconsistencies between book 1 and 2 but nothing that threw the story out of whack. It was a little weird that she spent so little time with each guy but was calling them boyfriends and mates without any kind of conversation, aside from fox.
The first book started slow with the main character leaving home to find herself. She chose a college town with shifters and was ignorant of the existence of that other world. In the process she finds a job at say college as a janitor. She finds people who became her friends and family in addition to three mates.
This is shaping up to be a good series, just wish they were longer! I would rather wait a little longer for a book to come out then have a book that only takes an hour to read 😀
I really enjoyed this book and loved the characters. I can't wait to see what will happen next for her and storm. I am curious to find out what she is and why she is attracting all these guys.
Same review than for the first book, but the discrepancy are more present.
Positive: I like the characters, I want to read more about them. Negative: there’s discrepancy. It is about small details, but they are there. The book is also very small so It should have been easy to correct.
This girl has gone from 0 to 100 real quick.. I feel bad for her and her mates.. This series is really good but the books seem really short and don’t really give much detail about what could be going on.. But it doesn’t change the fact that I am truly hooked to the end..
This is a weird series. She is supposed to have mate yet she spends about 85% of the book on her own doing day to day things. Mate pops up out of the blue, pends a couple of paragraphs with her and then dissapears. Yet she is supposed to have a mate bond/relationship. That doesn't make sense.
These hardly qualify as books. They are quick 2 hour reads. Reverse harem with no detail. Now accepted as a student working two jobs and being fed regularly. Classes are varied. Students hate her. Her supernatural species is not yet reveled. She is identified as human. Ends in major cliffhanger.
Poor V. What is happening, she can't be just a human with all those reactions from the males around her. These books are so well written. Definitely suck you in then bam something drastic and the book ends and you have to find the next book to find out 🥰🥰 im so hooked
So much is missing for me. Like the love interest. They’re just names. We don’t know them but all of a sudden there just mates it’s very much lacking detail in these books.
