Lavender Moon gives the same vibes as Heat Haven. IYKYK.

If you’re into stepbrother romance, this book serves one of the best explorations of this trope I’ve ever read. These two characters really got off on calling each other little stepsister and big stepbrother. The only other series where I’ve ever seen something similar was with the Lords. But here it’s more playful, and without the tw the Lords require lol

Even if it’s not your kink, you’ll get into it because these two were really getting off on it and it was the hottest thing. They were never raised as siblings and didn’t even live together because of the age gap. So this book gives you the hotness of the kink, without the icky part lol

Sarah Blue has written some of my favorite alphas. Griffin, Grayson, Smith… and now Ian. He’s so hot, dominating but caring and sweet. He’s the perfect balance between mean and pleasure Dom. And the way he’s willing to buy her the whole world (literally) is the biggest turn on lol He has no chill when it comes to Luna, and his obsession and simping is just perfect.

Then there’s Ezra, nerdy Alpha with a dirty mouth. He was the glue keeping the pack together and I always love that kind of characters. Caretaker, affectionate, dare I say clingy in the best way possible. He just wanted to feel needed and to give all his love to his Omegas. And there’s nothing hotter than that.

His friendship with Ian was amazing. They shared some of the best moments in the story, making me laugh out loud.

And then there’s James, a male omega like I’ve never read before. There are hints at past trauma but nothing too dark. This is a light, minimum angst story, that focuses primarily on developing the romance and making you believe these four are perfect for each other. In the case of James, I was absolutely fascinated by him. He was very independent and solitary, needing alone time. He wasn’t into big PDA but he loved his pack and wanted everyone to be happy.

Surprisingly, his romance with Luna was one of my favorite things. They just clicked together in a fascinating way, and brought things in each other that the others couldn’t.

I loved the pacing of the story, I think it’s the perfect combination of medium burn and filthy smut we all want lol

LAVENDER MOON will be available exclusively in Sarah’s website on March 31st.

omegas and alphas and more omegas, oh my.

I enjoyed the spice. I enjoyed the different pack dynamics. I enjoyed where Luna’s story starts off because it felt fun and freeing in a way even though she ends up with a pack. I enjoyed the uncommon omega personality type, and I just overall enjoyed this read. I’d recommend it to people who enjoy pack/omegaverse books and quick spicy reads.

That is all.

I love Sarah Blue!

“Luna Martinez, you better get that sweet ass over here,” Ian says as I squeal as Ezra grabs me by the waist and tosses me over the shoulder. He swats my ass as he drops me down on the cabana between James and Ian. “I was just going to go for a little dip.” “With no sunscreen?” Ian says, arching an eyebrow at me. “I was gonna…” He shakes his head, dragging me to sit between his legs. I look over at James who shrugs. “I already got the same treatment, don’t know what to tell you.” “I have to protect all you pale babies from the UV rays. That includes you, Ezra.”

This Omegaverse novella was somehow fun and different from the others I have read. Initially I thought this would just be a taboo stepbrother smut novel but I loved the deeper dive with two alphas and an already bonded male omega.

Luna had all her one on one time with them and shared unique connections and experiences with each one. Plus two omegas who are attracted to each other AND in heat?! 🥵

The double omega dynamic, learning to be a pack together and maybe the fact that we had Daddy Ian and Ezra at the end who made their omega babies get down and dirty with each other? Hahaha I’m sick, I know.

Also, props to an author for the marijuana storyline. It’s such an aphrodisiac and so much better than alcohol. I love seeing this be normalized in books.

Our love for sugar has become a little bit of a problem for our Alphas. Especially when James and I smoke a little bit too much and eat a ton of candy and don’t go to bed until super late. They put up with us happily though.<\b>

Thanks Sarah for the early copy 💜🌙

Of course Sarah Blue did her magic again. The comfort her Omegaverse brings to me is unmatched and Lavender Moon was just as good as I imagined it would be, if not better.

The 21-year-old Luna, an Omega, is tired of her utterly toxic mother who doesn't miss any opportunity to remind her of the fact that she is still unbonded. Eager to be independent and to finally leave her mother's roof, Luna starts working at Lavander Moon, a scent club. But Luna is still unbonded because she's been pining for her stepbrother for years now and doesn't want to settle for anything less than his pack. What she doesn't know is that her feelings are not as unrequited as she has thought and that her stepbrother, along with his pack mates are more than willing to welcome her into their pack.

Ian is an Alpha and has been part of a pack for two years with his best friend Ezra, who is also an Alpha, and their bonded Omega, James. Ian and Ezra are Alphas through and through and they thrive on showing to their Omega how much they love him, but James isn't much of PDA. James sees in Luna an opportunity to provide that for their Alphas and it doesn't hurt that he is very much attracted to her as well.

Luna's arrival to the pack is seamless and it was so heart-warming to see her falling in love with Ezra and James and them with her. Her relationship with James was one of the highlights of this book, in my opinion. Both of them were concerned with each other's well-being and boundaries. The forbidden aspect of Luna and Ian's relationship can't go unnoticed either, it was hot, especially how they got off on it. Ezra is a complete babe and the fact he is Irish just made it all the better.

“Tell me you’re mine. Tell me how badly you’ve wanted your older brother to fuck you, mark you, and make you mine.”

Lavender Moon is a short book, fast-paced, and it is as hot as it is sweet. I loved to see Luna's growth and how she's become more confident and the way her pack made her feel powerful. It was truly a delight and I would easily have read more of it.

This one was okay for me I really enjoyed the story between pack I think my one meh was how James was alittle always alone. I felt like he was more beta then a Omega atleast for me.

Ian James and Ezar are already a pack with a Omega have been for 2 years and they really want Luna but don't because Ian says she's young and he can't since he's her stepbrother. Which made no sense since he never was in the same household he kept that distance. Luna was heartbroken since her mother was verbally abusive and her stepfather was just there taking what her mother gave. She can't have the thing she wants so she tries to get some independence by dancing at Lavander moon for alphas.

She sees Ezar and James and had moments with them to have them 2 finally get Ian on board to get there girl to be apart of there pack. Until Ian sees her at Lavender Moon and finally cracks.
There relationship is sweet few times I was sad James kept to himself instead of being more with the pack.
We finally see them stand up to her mother and not give a rats ass about what the world thinks.

I got this as a rec from bookstagram & I'm so happy to have read this sweet & hot reverse-harem omegaverse story! Luna & James, the omegas are opposites but sweet, The alphas Ian (Luna's stepbro) & Ezra (Ian's bestie) are awesome. With low angst & high heat, loved it. Tho I do wish we delve more into James' past as I sense some trauma there, but he's in a better place.

I skimmed the 1st few scenes (Luna's mom really is a bitch), but I was sucked in. Feel talks are always good too. My 1st by the author, devoured it in around 3hrs, definitely won't be my last!

I liked the idea behind this book, with the MCs having a taboo keeping them from being together. Ian was so domineering and a bit grouchy. James was aloof and had some dissonance with his designation. Ezra was cuddly and fun. Luna was a mix of self-deprecation and sass. I feel like this could have been an amazing book if more time was spent on relationship building, and less on repetitive internal monologues.

Spice: 4/5

Triggers: emotionally abusive parent, taboo relationship, unjust societal structure

This was okay. I think I was expecting more time in the actual club? We only get like 5 pages of Luna actually working there so the tension was a bit short lived for me.

Sarah Blue’s sweet omegaverse romances about a sad/needy omega + alphas (or betas!) who just want to spoil her will always hit the spot for me.

This story didn’t have a whole lot of depth (the stepbrother trope was pretty much the story), but that didn’t impact my enjoyment one bit!

"Are you going to be a good girl and let your stepbrother in between those perfect thighs, or are you going to make me beg for it?”

LORD.

“Tell me you’re mine. Tell me how badly you’ve wanted your older brother to fuck you, mark you, and make you mine.”

Hold on, another:

“Good, I want you needy and wet. I want to give you everything. You’ll never want for anything with me, Luna. You want to come? I’ll make you come so fucking hard you can’t walk. You want a pretty dress? I’ll buy you ten. You want a new hobby? It’s yours...I’m going to treat you so good, baby. Give you everything you deserve. Let me?”

I love omegaverse, but omegaverse where two of them are step siblings?

Girl, I am on my knees.

Ian's mouth was filthy as fuck, James was precious, and Ezra was an absolute delight.

MMFMM, 2 doting alphas and 2 spoiled omegas? Say no more, I'm in.

I do wish we spent more time with Luna working at Lavender Moon and saw any repercussions of Ian whisking her out of her cage at work because that'd be fun. Also some of the character's internal thoughts got a bit repetitive, and the ending was a little rushed, but overall I very much enjoyed the ride.

This was quick, playful, and smutty, AKA classic Sarah Blue <3.

Lavender Moon is an omegaverse reverse harem (RH) that I think was intended to be a standalone but I do see there a bonus short out now that looks from the blurb to be a type of long epilogue featuring these characters.

I didn't hate this story, but at just under 200 pages it doesn't have the length to support the kind of relationship and story development I prefer. As is common in low-to-middling RH's (on my scale) a shortcut is attempted by having the three male characters already in a loving, bonded pack relationship with each other (two Alphas and one Omega) when the book starts, and they all have feelings for the heroine and she them (to varying degrees) as well, and that dynamic almost never works for me as I prefer the meeting/falling in love parts to be on-page.

The heroine knows the all-male pack because one of the Alphas is her stepbrother. She (and he) have had feelings for each other for years, but thought it would be impossible to be together. They didn't grow up together and never lived together so the extent of this pseudo-taboo aspect is that he likes to play it up in dirty talk, which I enjoyed, but this kind of usage of the steps trope always comes across as trying to play it safe for censorship reasons or squeamish readers and thus makes it watered down for taboo/forbidden lovers like myself.

There are several steamy scenes but I never felt sexual tension leading up to them between the characters and despite the number of them the overall tone of this is more of the sweet omegaverse variety (which is fine, I like those too).

I liked several of the base story ideas of this one including the male Omega not fitting exactly into the role, I feel like some of these ideas would have been interesting in a full-length book, fully developed, but as is it just felt like token attention to each concept, leaving every idea underwhelming.

Housekeeping: 30-40 outright errors and another 60 or so sentences or punctuation issues, leaving something that needed fixing or tweaking on half the pages, which is a lot to me.

I'm not opposed to reading more from this author and I think I actually own some already, but if more of them lack development like this one or have a lot of errors I won't keep on with them.

Very low conflict omegaverse novella. From the blurb, I was expecting more time in the strip club. And when it says 'stepbrother', it really leans into that. Even though they're both adult, were not raised together, never lived together at all, and I have no idea why it would be taboo? So uh, if that's your thing, these characters really get into it.

I really need to start reading summaries before I get into things. I had no clue what I was getting into with this book, but I’m not mad about it. Lavender Moon is definitely ALL ABOUT THE SPICE, but in a respectful and endearing kind of way. As an author, I really enjoy the way Sarah Blue writes, her pacing and words and ability to emphasize without being redundant is perfect. I won’t say this is a story that made me have all the feels but it was cute enough (despite the frequency of smut in its purest form). Having not done a lot of reading into werewolf/shapeshifter/alpha/omega relationships I feel like this as a good intro into what can be expected. I’m not nearly as invested in Luna, Ian, Ezra, and James as I was with Violet and Silas in The Marriage Hex but it’s fine because I’m glad they’re all happy because they deserve it.

I wanted to like it but the whole "she's what our pack needs" annoyed me. I have no idea who Luna really is because as soon as she started figuring life on her own terms, Ian decided it was time for them to be together.

Also, the whole "taboo" crap where they kept on claiming each other as siblings for the whole book? Ew.

No real depth to this book.

"You're our sun, little moon. We're just in your orbit. Wherever you go, we go,"

I grabbed this when I met Sarah at RARE (still can’t get over the fact that I’ve met Sarah Blue!! I’m still fangirling now lmao)
When I saw the NSFW art for Lavender Moon, I was immediately sold…

This book was absolutely incredible, I started reading it 2 hours ago and I couldn’t put it down! Luna and the boys have me wrapped round their little finger. I practically swooned from beginning to end!!! I was high pitch squealing and kicking my legs like a kid in a toy store!!! I honestly don’t have the words to explain how much I loved this story!!! Each of the boys have a special place in my heart, especially James (he’s my favourite) 🥺💜

Reread 7/13/2024: I loved it and upped my rating to 5 stars. Not sure why I loved it this time and not the first time - maybe because I've read a lot more omegaverse books since???

Original review: I liked this, but didn't love it. I know others will though. It was interesting reading about a pack that already had an Omega getting another one. Blue did a good job of integrating Luna and managing the different personalities and dynamics, but I found I didn't fall in love with the characters like I want to. This book did have some very sweet moments and lots of spice. The meaning behind Lavendar Moon made my heart swoon.

3.25 stars. This was a cute, spicy, step-brother omegaverse, reverse harem romance. We have the sweet Omega Luna who has been in love with her step-brother since she was seventeen, she’s been verbally abused/downtalked by her mother, and she wants to work at a scent/stripper club. Then, we have her Alpha step-brother, Ian who has always taken care of Luna ever since he’s known her, and is scared to take their relationship further. His packmate is the other alpha and bestfriend, Ezra, the charming redhead Irish man who has always been attracted and flirty to Luna. Finally, the other Omega, James, who loves to garden, his alone time, and has a hard time being affectionate. Since affection is hard for him, he fears he can’t be what his alphas need (even though Ian and Ezra love him unconditionally) and is the one to suggest bringing Luna into their pack to be the missing puzzle piece that they’ve always needed. Once Ian finds out Luna has been working at a scent club, he spurs himself into action, and immediately makes her his and his pack’s.

Favorite quotes/scenes:

-"I know I’m not easy to love, Ezra."
"Loving you has been one of the easiest things I’ve ever done. Are you easy to get to know? No. You know that, love. But when someone has the pleasure to get to know you—who you really are—it’s a fucking gift." (Ezra and James)

-"Luna will be mine—ours. History and legalities can fuck themselves." (Ian)

-"I wonder how fucking unhinged I am for building my Omega stepsister a nest in my home with all the intention of making her mine, despite the fact I haven’t even told her how I feel."

-"Thank you."
"For what?"
"For everything. For never forcing me to be someone who I’m not."
"It’s been the easiest thing in the world." (Ezra and James)

-"You’re our sun, little moon. We’re just in your orbit. Wherever you go, we go." (James)

-"I’ll never have to worry about feeling loved or forgotten ever again. These men are mine, and I plan on spending the rest of my life cherishing them as much as they do me."

Oh (step) Brother...

I had a hard time taking this book seriously yet it was more cringey than humorous. The romance itself seemed very rushed and the forbidden aspect of it seemed over the top ridiculous. Instead of Ian and Luna occasionally calling each other step brother/sister in a tongue in cheek, flirty bit of naughty fun; the step sibling references were pervasive and oversaturated.

In yet another overused words drinking game, if we all took a shot every time , "stepbrother", "stepsister" and "virginity" appeared in this book, we would all be dead of alcohol poisoning. This one has real "oh..... stepbrother" joke energy.

This author didn't just beat a dead horse, they butchered it, buried it, exhumed the body and went all Frankenstein on it. This was a limping patchwork abomination of Step sibling porn meets Omegaverse with cheesy, porno worthy dialogue to match.

Every time the FMC internally marveled at the fact that she had lost her *gasp* virginity to her * gasp* stepbrother, I rolled my eyes so hard. We know this already ... And??!!?

Towards the end of the book I think I was lulled into a false sense of security because Ian and Luna hadn't called each other step anything in a while. I was even thinking to myself how ridiculously cute they were being with the sunscreen and then bam! Another step sister reference and they aren't even step siblings at this point. Ugh.

I think the reason why it took me out of the romance is because Ian avoided a relationship with Luna because she was his step sister. He keeps bringing up the thing that kept them apart for so long. I don't like it. She is his mate now. Shouldn't he be calling her his sweet little mate?

I gave this book 2.5 stars and rounded up for the potential. If they had just developed the characters more and cut out the constant mentions of step-otherness, this would be a half way decent book.

There's something about a book that can be super cute and wholesome and v spicy that has the power to melt my heart. Mutual pining between them, and James, just James, yea he's an omega, but he's so freaking cute with Luna. Like please, I need more of them.

Luna really brings them all together, I loved how none of them felt out of place with a new addition to what most would think is an already "complete" pack and how they didn't care what the rest of the world thought as long as they were happy together. The pack dynamic is definitely different from anything I've read before and I loved it 💖 I was feeling super giddy during the cute moments between them especially earlier on. Such a cute and spicy book!

They were a puzzle with a missing piece before Luna came along and she was the perfect fit🥰

Every time I finish reading a why choose or omegaverse book, I always think, "Why isn't real life more like this??" So I have to read another book😂

“little moon” was such a cute nickname🥰❤️🫶🏼

The relationship between Luna and James (the two omegas) was so cute, they both love each other so much. James is so possessive and protective over her too<33 He only wants to make sure she's happy, and she wants to make sure he's happy too. I swear this Pack was so cute, all of them care about each other so much.

Small note: the little graphics for the changes of POV for each character are adorable and so accurate.

That. That is what I want. To captivate a stage, to be in front of people and be able to be myself. To have people want me so desperately that they're willing to empty their wallets for it.

I read this story in it's shorter version originally in the Knot Over You anthology 0 and rated it 6/5 stars! I was excited to pick up this expanded version. While I still enjoyed this, it was more as a re-read than as a fresh, expanded book. Some of the I wish we'd seen a little more from Lavender Moon and Luna's time as a dancer there!

This day feels so reminiscent of the one where I met James. Should I be ashamed of the fact that I keep luring these Omegas in with cute animals? Possibly.

I do appreciate that each character was full of their own personality and characterization. James might have been my favorite - his atypical presentation as an Omega was neat and I enjoyed every scene with him in it, especially when he started In a surprising turn of events, my m/m "everyone involved"-loving heart also appreciated that not everyone in the pack was physically involved - I think that dynamic really worked for their pack.

I'm going to give this pack my everything and prove that I belong. This fantasy I've had all of those years could finally become a reality.

I'm glad I read this, and still look forward to more from Sarah Blue!
