Outline of the story: A nobody newbie novelist fell to his death, when this happened his apartment was locked from the inside, so the death was ruled as a suicide, but soon it was discovered that the dead novelist's last short novel was copied straight from another well known novelist's already published story? Why would anyone make such a career ending move before he killed himself?
Background Information This story was first serialized in a magazine back in the 1970s, only published as a book in 2004.
This first novel of Akira Nakamachi really takes me by surprise, I'm impressed by Mr. Nakamachi's wordplay and his plot twists () I almost felt cheated when I turned the last page, but it's a defeat I'm willing to accept.
Will keep my eyes on more of Mr. Nakamachi's novels.
