Another light on plot installment, but it was as always a joy to spend some time with these characters.

I just love the Wisteria Witches series! I can’t get enough and I never will. Angela Pepper, I want to grow old with this series 🤗
A year to wait for a next book can seem long, but it is totally worth it. In this 16th book, you’ll see how Zara Riddle tries to be a good witch again by dealing with her empty nest and a house that’s no longer there. This book is about Zara’s healing journey of what she lost, trough the help of her old and new friends who will show er there is stil much to gain.
Is Zara finally growing up? Believe it or not, but yes a bit! Had she finally started healing, yes she is! Will her life be changed for the good at the end of the book? Yes, but what a journey to get there and OMG what a journey is awaiting her still!
This was a really awesome read again, and with what feels like a yearly date to catch up again, I am really looking forward to book 17!
This series is just mad genius, with a humor you need to be born with! Yep, I am a fan 😉

Status Quo Shattered

Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
After the events of the previous books, Zara’s life is in flux. Her dream home is no more. Her magic powers are broken. (Spoiler) is gone. Zoey is off to college. Zinnia is married (!) and taking care of her new baby. Everyone else’s life seems to be moving on without her.
So what is one to do? Find a new living situation and plant some veggies at the community garden.
We spend a lot of time with Zara as she processes everything that has happened, what she wants and where her future may lead her. We revisit old characters, say goodbye to a beloved pet and meet more lovely members of the community that will play larger parts in the story going forward (presumably)
This may sound melancholy but Zara’s inner monologue, Tiffany Williams shining performance and a dose of magic make this a journey and a new beginning. I can’t wait to see where the Riddle women take us next.

Disappointed with this 16th book.
The other books I felt hungry for more with excitement, this one left me sad and starved. Frankly It fell flat, lost its perzzazz.
What I loved about the previous books apart from the glorious character enrichment, was the excitement and plots. I understand Zara has been through alot but where were her friends, hrr fsmily? The author just had them dissappear. Perhaps this is the 'back against the wall book' to come back with fun and adventure in the next book, I hope!!
My hopes were to reunite zara with her house at least, and even that disappointed...my fave character particularly on audible has to be the Wyvern btw; ironically we use the same voice for our maine coon cat, sadly even her relationship here disappointed turning him a bit distant and losing that cheekiness.

I really hope the next book reflects the previous books in an 'ode to...'

It’s been awhile since Zara’s had a story. We start by jumping ahead about a year, her aunt is getting married to Detective Fung after having the baby, and the wedding jump starts the crazy. Since her house disappeared and Zoey started college Zara has been a bit lost. She needed a bit of adventure to get back to herself. We get introduced to new characters and new supernatural events until everything makes sense in her world. It is a bit easy to get lost in the story, Zara has a tendency to crack jokes to herself and go off on tangents, sort of gets confusing as to what is the main storyline. But it all ties together nicely at the end. I got to read an advanced copy and wrote this review voluntarily.

Welcome back to Wisteria where half the population is shifters or other supernaturals and there are more witches than you can shake a broom at. Zara is at an odd time of life. Daughter Zoey is moved out and is going to college, Aunt Zinna gets married to Detective Fung after having the baby, and Zara herself is moved into a new place and has started to learn how to do her own gardening. There are new characters, and who knew that there was a maze of tunnels under the city? I've enjoyed every one of the books in this series and yet I keep hoping for more!
Narrator Tiffany Williams continues to be great at differentiating characters and emotions.
I won this audio in a giveaway. Yay me!

I have been reading these books from the very beginning and have loved each and every one of them. I had no idea how the author was going to begin a new one after so many things ended in the last one, but she absolutely nailed it. This was such a charming book with all the new characters in it and the story was outstanding. I'm usually very good at figuring mysteries out but this story was so unusual that I just ended up going with it and didn't try to. I love all of the different characters - Zara a witch, Kathy a sprite, Kent is Kathy's dad and also a sprite (a handsome one according to Zara.) So many lovely new characters, new beginnings and the start of a new life for a lot of them.

Mixed feelings about this one. I’m glad we’re back to Zara’s perspective, but many of her family and friends are noticeably absent from this book. I did enjoy getting to know Kathy a little better, and the new characters in this book are unquestionably nice additions. The time jump threw me for a loop in terms of getting back on track with what everyone was up to, but it wasn’t too big of a deal once the initial surprise wore off.

VERY interested to see what happens next with Zara’s new endeavors. I’m hoping that we see more of her family and old friends soon. But ultimately, this feels like a book that’s meant to transition us from one point of Zara’s life into the next.

Did I completely miss a book? The plot of this book was ok. I liked the new characters and it was entertaining. However, we enter with Zoe in college, and Charlize is apparently married to Bon. The last time we saw Zoe she was messing with time, Bon was hitting on Zara, and Charlize was brooding in a club. Somehow Zoe has graduated and moved out and Charlize is a trad wife (ok not really but still). Am I the only one who cares about these huge plot gaps? I literally went back and looked to see if I missed reading a book.

Seriously, did I miss a book!??! I really want this series not to have jumped the shark, but I think it may have with the events the night of the storm.

Wilds of Wisteria (Wisteria Witches book # 16) written by Angela Pepper. Any time spent with my wacky friends in Wisteria is always a good time! Okay, so a lot of it is a little creepy, but I love all of it so much! Witches, ghosts, shifters and who knows what else can be found in the town of Wisteria. Maybe even sprites, goblins, vampires and all others. You never know who/what you are dealing with until the truth comes out! The only thing wrong with these books is that they are WAY TOO SHORT! I just can't wait for the next one!!

You need a good imagination, love of fantasy, sense of humour and like a laugh when unexpected whit tickles your funny bone. l grew up on the Wishing chair and Far away tree books so it was no surprise to find myself an adult Harry Potter fan and l can tell you Angela Pepper has built her own fantasy land with 16 large books/audio books that have filled the quest for good quality fantasy. Woods of Wisteria

I'm addicted to this series. The characters are wonderful & so funny. They are full of adventure & mystery. There is never a dull moment with all the shenanigans going on. I love that screaming doorbell was replaced with intercom. I've already preordered book 17. If you love magic & adventure then I would suggest emerging yourself into Wisteria Witches mysteries. It's quite the magical place. Angela Pepper can take your imagination to places it's never been.

The Wisteria witches are always a welcome real world distraction! Quirky dialogue and loveable characters make for an interesting & entertaining story and listen. This episode is a bit sad but does end on positive energy. The narrator did a good job with unique character voices and appropriate tone inflections for each scene. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Wisteria you've been missed!

And yes, Zara, Zinnia and the rest of the gang too. There's a very naughty teaser in there but that's an author's prerogative I guess. You know you're hooked on a series when you're really rooting for reincarnation for the living and nonliving. If you enjoy zany paranormal stories starring a witch who tries to behave then welcome to Wisteria.

The Wilds if Wisteria

I enjoyed reading this book knowing the series was probably ending soon or if not then I would have until another book is ready for publishing. In this book Zara is growing becoming a more responsible adult. She learns to that she is not the center of the universe and many other people are there to help along the way of growth.

Great Start ... Slow Finish

I loved the first 13 or 14 books! It was such a great start! I couldn't put the books down. Then I'm not sure what happened? Suddenly, it got very dark and depressing. I wish I had stopped reading there.

Time to start another series and let this one die a miserable death.

4.5 I know that #17 just came out but I want the audiobook since that is how I got through them. Unfortunately these last 2 books felt flat. It’s not that they weren’t good I just didn’t have that excitement that the rest had. I will still keep going as long as she will write the books but I hope that I find the excitement back in it. It could be that Zoey wasn’t in it. I’m just not sure.

Hard to rate

I didn’t enjoy this book but that somehow didn’t stop me from finishing it. I’m hoping it’s a transitional book so that I like the next one. I liked some of the new characters but wished we had had more time with some of the old ones.

It was good to be reading about Sara again. This brought light to some of the things that had happened in past books. It was good to see Sara starting a new life and stop wallowing in sadness. She is putting toghter new friends and family. Can't wait for the next book.

this one was not as good as her earlier books

I have enjoyed this series until she killed off Bentley. The last two books were not as good as the earlier ones. They just didn’t have the same intensity as the earlier ones. I will read the next one though because I do enjoy her sense of humor. I just hope she finds Zara a new and interesting love interest.
