Getty is up to his eyeballs in frustration after his father moves in. Worse, his father’s bimbo girlfriend moves in, too. Neither has a job, and Getty’s aggravation is mounting. He decides to go out for a night of fun, and runs into a dreamy guy who sweeps him off his feet. But it was just a one-night stand. No strings attached. Too bad Donnchadh is trying to attach strings.
Donny is trying to forget he nearly died, and finding a male to lose himself in for a night seems simple enough. Until he meets Getty, a guy who seems out of place at Pump. One sexual encounter later and Donny realizes he’s found his mate, but pinning Getty down is proving nearly impossible.
When things start to unravel and hellhounds invade Maple Grove, it’s up to Donny to protect Getty and prove to his mate that a one-night stand could turn into so much more if Getty would only give them half a chance.

Lynn Hagen loves writing about the somewhat flawed, but lovable. She also loves a hero who can see past all the rough edges to find the shining diamond of a beautiful heart.
You can find her on any given day curled up with her laptop and a cup of hot java, letting the next set of characters tell their story.
I was so happy that Donnchadh (demon warrior) had found his human mate, Getty, through having a one night stand with him. I appreciated the fact that Donnchadh knew who his mate was from the beginning. Hellhounds were causing extreme havoc but they do make for great villains. The plot was fascinating and the story was totally riveting. Very enjoyable and spine tingling read. This author's books always pack a punch.
Why Getty so affraid of his dad, whom live under Getty's house and steal Getty's money. He was unemployed, drunked bastard, lazy. I just not believed that he did not kick his father out of his house. Getty was stupid
Donny is the most fun and playful warrior and so persistent to wooing Getty. That's kinda hard thing to do since Getty has low self-esteem and hiding his true self from his dad. Thankfully, Donny is a patient man and all his works pay off.
4.5 estrellas De los mejores inicios para el bracverse, a mi gusto. No termino de encantarme la historia por todo el trágico pasado de los guerreros demonios pero es muy buena historia y la pareja... perfecta!
No one touches the dreads...lol. I have a fondness for Donny, I'm happy with his story. And Getty was a pleasure to read about. I can relate to relative toxic drama and feeling trapped by them. In this story you basically enjoy most of the Demon warrior's and it was fun.
