Need Me

Rate this book
Every Boy Needs His Bear. Orion I like my simple life. I’ve worked hard to find a routine that suits me, but it’s not enough anymore. I need a special boy to make me happy. The boy I found online might be perfect, but is he ready for my brand of love? Liam I’ve had enough tough love in my life. Now I’m taking a risk to find what I’ve always wanted. I’ve never been anybody’s boy before, and when I met a farmer online, I felt like I'd met my dream Daddy. Is he too good to be true? Can an app and a leap of faith give these two a shot at true love? Need Me features a rough and tumble burley bear that just wants someone to spoil and a soft hearted boy with a hole in his heart that needs to be filled. Expect an overprotective Daddy, a boy who needs praise, and a whole lot of sweet heat. Bears-4-U is a MM Daddy romance, multi-author series, featuring a host of delicious Daddy pairings. The Bears-4-U dating app is all about putting Bears and Teddy Bears together for their honey-sweet HEAs. Psst, no real bears involved. Each book can be read as a standalone, but why not snuggle up with all the bears?

Need Me (Bears-4-U series) by T.H. Compton

🧸 Daddy/Boy (no ageplay)
🧸 Size Difference
🧸 Age Gap
🧸 Dating App
🧸 Multi-Author Series Standalone

After turning over a new leaf, Orion now leads a peaceful life working on his orchard. He enjoys his simple life but knows that something is missing, a boy to care for and call his own. Liam has spent his life in the foster system, being moved from home to home and never being able to put down roots and become part of a family. He yearns for someone to take care of him and to provide him with stability and unconditional love. When both men join the Bears-4-U dating app they think that they might have found what they've each been looking for, but the path to a happily ever after isn't always as easy as it seems.

Need Me is the final release in the multi-author series Bears-4-U. Having already read two other books in the series, Hear Me and Display Me, i've been eagerly awaiting T.H. Compton's contribution.

I found this book to be a really cute and enjoyable short story. The plot centers around a lonely daddy and a lost boy, with both the main and side characters being very likeable and well rounded. I really hope that both Liam's friends, Tanner and Sidney, and Orion's brother, Caelum, will eventually get their own stories as I'd love to see more of them.

The ending of the book did feel a little rushed and I would have loved another few chapters to flesh out the story even more. I wanted to see Orion and Liam's relationship progress a little bit further and to see Liam truly accept his self worth.

Overall I found this to be a really sweet and fluffy book. I like how the daddy/boy dynamic was explored gradually and how sweet Orion was to Liam. I'm glad I finally got to read this story and think it's a great addition to the Bears-4-U series.

Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Spice: 🌶️🌶️.5
Humour: 🤭🤭
Intimacy: 🫂🫂🫂
Angst: 🥺🥺

First person dual pov 👀

CW: recovering addict, mention of past drug addiction and jail time.

My heart!

Oh sweet precious Liam. My heart hurt so much for him. Thank goodness he found the perfect Daddy. There were some great side characters too. I hope we get their story.

I'm here blinking, trying to make sense of what that was. What happened here?

More than half the book is an unnecessary back-and-forth. The rest have a date and the book ends. Like this?

I would understand if it was one of those instalove books, with a short story, twelve chapters is enough, but man, that's not what happens here. I'm not going to say that this book has bad writing and stories, it's within the expected range. Not to mention I've seen things so bad it made me want to wash my eyes with washing powder. It's simply frustrating when you acquire a book, donate your time to read it and simply the blessed book ends without a more or why. It was like a chapter turn, a bad one by the way.

I'm here trying to believe that this was a mistake, as it has happened with some other works and that it will be corrected. Right now I wish there were minus stars, minus one star... I would definitely give here a minus five just for the rage.

Orion has a simple life on his farm but it is not enough anymore as he needs to find himself a boy to make him happy. He finds Liam online but is he ready for Orion's brand of love? Liam has had enough tough love but is taking a risk to find what he has always wanted but when he meets farmer Orion online it feels like he has met his dream Daddy. Can the Bears-4-U app and a leap of faith give these two a shot at true love?

This was a nice story which was sweet but it was a bit too instalove with not enough of their thoughts and emotions to give me a deeper understanding of the characters. I did like that Orion gave Liam work to do during his stay so that he was not sat at home alone while he worked and I think that he would have fit into the family nicely. Easy to understand. This was an MM story with a BSDM-like DDLB relationship.

The start was promising but over the course of the 30% mark, I lost interest and started skimming through the rest of the book. Also, the KU version was deceiving because initially they are 20 chapters and not 12, but either way I somehow managed not to DNF it. The characters were shallow, especially Liam. Orion had potential but it just flew out the boat when we reached halfway into the book. This wasn’t for me but I’m sure it will be for someone else.

I'm not sure if the author just got bored and stopped writing or the document that was uploaded was incomplete, but this book is missing at least a couple of chapters, plus any sort of resolution. All it actually contains is two guys meeting on an app and then IRL, and it ends mid-conversation. Also contains some spelling/grammar issues that were slightly annoying.

Words may not be enough!

Liam’s had too many people give him up or give up on him. Orion’s had his own problems but now has a home, an apple orchard and work that he loves. Orion’s ready to be a “Daddy” to Liam’s “Boy.”. Enjoy how Orion and Liam meet, talk with each other and find the actions that will ensure they’re happily together forever!!!
