A fascinating novel about an American doctor and his 17 year old daughter who move to Nepal, where they become embroiled, unexpectedly, in Nepal's civil war with tragic consequences for them both. This book is beautifully written, the characters feel very authentic. The relationship between the father and daughter is endearing and feels very real. This book is an adventure novel on it's face but is rich in Nepalese culture. A good read.
