It ended up being mind-blowing
Wow. I had the idea that this book would end up being some sort of new age woo-woo bs, but I ended up finding it awesome, insightful, deep. Even if you don't end up implementing the practices, everything shared in this book will be extremely helpful for ever (long-term) romantic relationship. Totally recommend it!
I also loved how the devotion and love the the authors have and feel for each other could be witnessed through their writing and experiences.

I read this book so fast, and underlined the fuck out of it. Great read, super insightful. It’s the subtlety of practicing self awareness and the awareness of my (future) partner, arriving in equanimity with what is, and holding deep, loving space for them that resonated with me (initially). As the book progresses through the next acts, I began understanding how fire is created, maintained, and increased.
This is a great read and I appreciate its co-authorship.
Especially in tandem with other books which seek to locate the fulcrum of healthy relationships.

This is by far the best book I’ve read to deepen intimacy with a partner. Super understandable. Easy to read. The exercises are clear and concise. My partner and I have read it together and done the exercises and they are EPIC!! Life changing. Love love love love this book. Highly recommend everyone read it ASAP!!

This book details the sexual liberation I wish we had in our culture, not the taboo around sensuality that extreme conservatism enforces nor the meaningless promiscuity that progressivism encourages.
