He isn't Prince Charming. He's a Mafia Prince. I thought I was living a fairytale when I met Dan Lucas. That's the reason I gave him everything... including the fake marriage he needed for his inheritance, while wishing it was real.

But they say be careful what you wish for.

It's true. Because I find out that the man I married isn't Dan Lucas, but Dante de Luca—and my worst nightmare—a mafia heir. Worse again, he is betrothed, and it's not to me.

So it doesn't matter how much his touch makes my heart race; I finally accept we are fake and have to escape from the dangerous world I've found myself embroiled in.

Unfortunately, Dante doesn't agree. He offers me more to stay as he whispers, "You're mine... My lawfully wedded wife."

I don't understand. Why did he choose me?

Devious Vows is book one in the Angels and Sinners series. It includes strong sexual content throughout. Some scenes and depictions may be disturbing to some readers. Please check the content warning at the start of the book.

Just randomly started this after seeing it on tik tok. All I can really say was it was OK.
The plot was incredibly rushed and didn't feel well thought out at all. The characters seemed to change personality throughout and didn't feel very developed. And what did happen in the book didn't take me by surprise at all. But it was a decent pallet cleanser for what I have been reading recently.

the most entertaining one star read ever

you could tell me this thing was ai generated and i fully would have believed you. every event had either zero foreshadowing or very obvious foreshadowing. the characters flux and change in completely random ways throughout. everything is a trope for no reason. i still don’t really know what rafe’s sexuality is. i felt like i was on psychedelics reading this. i don’t think i would recommend it to anyone, but like, i did have a great time, even if not for the reasons the author wanted me to

DNF 46% in

I must have missed something along the way of the plot... because I don't understand this story, at all. I was pushing myself to keep going, until I couldn't find it in myself to keep going any longer. The mafia aspect, doesn't make sense as of yet. The arranged marriage, doesn't make sense as of yet, because it isn't arranged at all by this point, 46% in. Enemies to lovers? How? I don't get this story at all.

Fmc meets mmc on a plane. Of course there is hidden cryptic stuff going on by internal monologuing... which doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Even thinking about her sent to that school to learn all the skills to maybe kill or just protect herself, so what? Even if she was a mafia princess or something... I don't get it. Then the guy with his background friends and making sure they have the right girl for their whatever needing DNA verification... so what. Talking about getting an inheritance if they get married, which they do in Vegas... so what. This whole story is not intriguing and just bad. When they talk, the mmc and fmc, sometimes they say the same stuff they said in a previous conversation, like an awkward first date, because they spent all that time on a plane together already talking... they still have to hash out their life stories? Again. Then one more time? Is it entirely the same info, no, but the same sentiments. Sigh.

Almost halfway through and it's gotten ridiculous. Who takes their newlywed bride, who was a virgin, days prior, days after meeting, to a sex club? That's where I drew the line. She was more concerned about knowing the way out of the club (past trauma related in some way to that school) show room then about the fact that her being an "innocent" girl should have felt uncomfortable and out of her element in a sex club. Yeah. Didn't pass the common sense check. Even with her thoughts on whatever guys/trainers at that school who were teaching her body/sexual security? I don't understand and I don't want to at this point.

The missing ring

Lia has lived hidden her whole life not knowing who she really is or about her real mother. Months before turning twenty-one Dante finds her and convinces her to marry him. Lies is what it turns out to be and she finally learns the truth at the end. She is the missing ring to the five men of The Syndicate. This Mafia Romance is set in Australia.

Over all good book. It does have MM. Also Contraception tampering. It is told in DPOV.Leaves you still with a lot of questions but book two is available to continue the story.

Whyyy is the ENTIRE plot in the blurb???

This would have been amazing, the twist of the reveal of Dan's identity. But the ENTIRE plot is in the blurb. Lia only finds out most of what is mentioned 80% of the way through the book!!!! I.... I..... I just don't understand why an author would give so much away?? It was an interesting story which would have been a million times better had I not known the entire plot before I even opened the book!!!

Badly written it could have been a great story if he was just obsessed with her but him having ulterior motives ruined everything. Major cliffhanger which author should have warned about. I thought this was a standalone. Not worth continuing series.

The plot is good, I did have some hang-ups throughout story where it gets confusing or repetitive though. Still a, mostly, gripping story and makes you want to know more, especially after the ending.

For this book to not be a novella you would think that they would develop the story more and work way more on character and plot development.
