Uff the first two short stories really got to me, I wish they were longer because they had so so much more potential!! The third one was fine but not as good as the two before if I compare them.

I heard there was a good one shot in this short story collection so I thought "Might as well read the whole thing and put it on GoodReads for my goal"
Hi! Welcome to Watch Mojo and today we're counting down our picks for the top 10 worst decisions of my life.
The first story was ok, nothing more nothing less. Maybe a bit weird.
The second story:
I read it for the bisexual gender-bending vampires inspired by Carmilla and it did not disappoint.
I really enjoyed the ending because it gave a kind of twist to the short story I wasn’t expecting and a mysterious aura that made me reflect upon what I just read.
If someone has read Kamiya please talk about it with me, I have some theories about it I would like to discuss with someone.
Overall, I like the art-style (I mean it's the blue period mangaka) and it was good, great even.
The third story was awful. I wish I was Jared 19. I want to bathe my eyes in bleach in hopes I never read something like that again. The weird fetishization of sex-work, the portrayal of high-school kids, that whole scene with the teacher in the car. PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS. I AM SERIOUS. I have never felt so uncomfortable reading manga in my entire life. It was seriously disturbing.
This collection is a very good example on authors who are pieces of shit who sometimes write something good and then you read other things by said author and you're like "omg I hate this person I wish they never write again".
Don't support Tsubasa Yamaguchi. If you wish to read Kamiya or Blue Period (works I think are worth a shot) do it in ways that do not support the author *cof cof mangadex* and rightfully and openly criticize the person who wrote them.
We could discuss the separation of art and the artist but let's leave it for another time.

This was... interesting. Somewhat of a mixed bag.
The first two stories in this collection made me rather uncomfortable, which I'm sure was the author's intent. Both of them contained rather deplorable MCs who eventually get their obsessions turned back on them in a very comeuppance kind of way. But I wouldn't say they were satisfying. Just off-putting.
The third, and final, story in the collection was a lot more "enjoyable", which I'm sure the 2-part format allowed for more than the shorter previous two stories. The MC was significantly less icky to the point you actually root for her, even as she starts to engage in rather questionable activities.
Overall, some interesting ideas are explored in this collection but I don't think the messages are explored enough for the "shocking" content to be included.

Une lecture vraiment perturbante. Je ne m’attendais pas à tout ça. Il y a 3 histoires totalement différentes mais toutes les trois sont teintées d’une ambiance particulièrement étrange. La première était la meilleure mais la dernière je ne sais pas quoi en penser. Il faut prendre un peu de recul je pense.

So I picked this up because I’m planning to start blue period. I’m going to break this in 3.
(1. Nude Model) The idea of a story about the artist gaze with their nude subject is something that interested me greatly; knowing from personal experiences what it’s like to interact with a nude model. It hits the truth nail head on in my opinion. The fact that a model is essentially a breathing object we move to suit our needs in the creative process. It’s not something to take personally. It’s not a sexual experience. Natsume, at least from my understanding, only sees a subject of intense emotions that she wants to capture. She’s a chill girl. I hope that She and Niko continue to bond and share with one another.
On the flip side Niko just straight up discovers a few new kinks. Good for him. He obviously wasn’t shy about his body and even if he started his new Model/Artist relationship on a bet at least he discovered new things about himself in the process.
(2. Girl) I was not ready for the turn this story took, but the dialogue while disturbing to hear is pretty common in a high school setting. Honestly the objectification and sexualization of women in this story is so close to reality it hurt. Not all people are like the boys in this story, but just enough of them are that it paints a very uncomfortable picture of adolescence that try as we might, isn’t getting snuffed out anytime soon.
Yada learned about a worst case scenario of being on the other side of that objectifying lens. Karma rocked his shit hard. You do feel sympathy and you definitely would not have wished that fate on him. But I swear before that happened I really just wanted to smack the kid 1 good time.
Also voice kinks.
(3. Kamiya) omg the sex change vampires. The sex change vampires omg. I’m not going to go super duper in depth with this one, but omg the one thing I have always questioned when it comes to vampires happens in this story and I feel like a part of my old twilight girly self finally got some satisfaction over 10 years after. Just know it involves where they drink blood. That is all.
Overall I really liked these stories. Nude Model being my favorite since it felt like I was seeing a part of my past on paper. There are a lot of triggering things in this book so definitely pay attention to the content warning at the beginning as well as the unlisted ones for:
- vulgar and highly derogatory language towards teenage girls and about sex workers
- blood (I mean kamiya is a vampire story)
-lotsa nudity and sexual themes
-needles

Nude Model est un recueil de nouvelles à ne pas mettre entre toutes les mains. Les histoires y sont parfois crues, et aussi acérées que les lames d’un couteau. De mon côté, ce fut une surprise parce que je ne m’attendais pas à ça et que j’ai vraiment aimé ! C’est sombre, parfois trash et la mangaka ne tourne pas autour du pot n’y n’épargne les sensibilités.
Ainsi la première histoire est une affaire de harcèlement scolaire avec un héros qui a fait un pari avec ses camarades qui font office de persécuteurs. S’il perd le pari, il sera brulé avec des cigarettes. Son but ? Se taper la fille du lycée la plus froide et la plus intouchable qui soit. Cela va emmener le jeune homme à jouer les modèles pour cette fille qui passe son temps à dessiner.
J’ai adoré cette approche et franchement, c’est bien pensé. La jeune fille a du cran je trouve. À travers cette nouvelle, le côté artistique mis en avant nous offre également une certaine sensualité qui pourrait presque être déplacée vu le contexte, mais qui offre une sorte de douceur bienvenue dans une histoire aussi crue que cruelle.
La seconde nouvelle nous propulse auprès de jeunes lycéens obsédés par le sexe. Le héros va se retrouver mêlé à une histoire bien plus glauque et qui aurait pu mal se terminer pour lui. Là encore, j’ai été scotchée par le récit. Tsubasa Yamaguchi surfe sur les limites et arrive à nous dépeindre une intrigue qui aurait pu franchement devenir ultra glauque.
Quant à la dernière nouvelle, elle est sans doute la plus glauque de toutes. Je l’ai trouvé géniale, et j’ai eu un coup de cœur pour elle. Cette fois, le fantastique s’invite à la fête de ce récit. Je l’ai même relu une seconde fois pour être certaine d’avoir tout bien compris.
Le lien entre toutes ces nouvelles, c’est bien évidemment la sensualité, et cette attirance qui pousse les héros vers l’obscurité, avec parfois un aspect plutôt malsain. Par amour, par jeux, jusqu’où est-on prêt à aller ? La mangaka, avec ces histoires courtes dénonce également le harcèlement sous toutes ses formes, mais aussi la manipulation psychologique face à des gens qui sont censée incarner l’autorité. Qu’on soit élève, prof ou encore médecin…
Bref. J’ai adoré Nude Model qui montre l’étendu du talent de narratrice de Tsubasa Yamaguchi. Je suis très contente d’avoir pu le lire.

Some ok short stories loosely tied together by a general theme of abnormal sexual desire. If you're a huge fan of the artist you should check it out, but otherwise it's nothing special

This is not a light read and it was clearly made to make the reader uncomfortable. Media literacy is absolutely required to read this one. Lots of dark and heavy material, the author obviously is not glorifying nor advocating sexualizing minors. Anyone who thinks so is not old enough to be reading this, focus that sort of energy to the other majority of manga that overtly sexualize children and women for nothing but fan service and for enjoyment. This is not that.
If you do want to read it there's clear depections of sexual violence, assault/bodily harm, sexual harassment, pedophilia, sex work, death, blood, sexual coercion, deragatory comments/attitudes towards women... I could go on, but I'll hope the point remains.

Primero que todo no creo que este libro deba leerlo cualquiera así que si son sensibles a temas como la sangre, la violencia sexual (afortunadamente no explícita) y/o desnudos esto no es para ustedes.
Creo que cualquier persona que fue sexualizado o super expuesto a material de esa índole en su etapa escolar podría sentirse identificado con el relato "una mujer", es una historia cruda qué personalmente me transportó a lo que pueden ser los peores recuerdos de mi época escolar, no porque me haya pasado ni se lejos lo que le paso a ella pero si se de gente que paso por eso.
Me gustó como demuestra la crueldad de los adolescentes pero al mismo tiempo deja en claro que al final todos son víctimas del sistema tan sexualizado en el que vivimos.
Una historia desgarradora y cruda pero que si se sienten en confianza de poder soportar esa crudeza y le dan la oportunidad en serio podrán darse cuenta de la crítica legítima qué hay detrás.

I really liked all the stories from this manga.
Nude model was something I would expect from Blue Period, it has an interesting relationship and I enjoyed how both main characters are morally grey.
The second one, Woman, was... The hardest one to read. At first I didn't like it, lots of misogynistic things were said, although I understand that's how a teenager that doesn't know about life would say, and it's obviously portrayed in a negative light. It's sad how he had to go through something bad to realize his ideas and thoughts about women were wrong, but that's how it is for some people.
Lastly, I LOVED the vampire story. Again, the dynamic between the doctor and the host is very well done. The ending was a bit confusing, I had to reread it lol but I enjoyed it a lot. Also the fact that the vampire can change genders? Let's GO!

Me ha sorprendido. Se trata de historias oscuras, en las que el estilo del dibujo de Yamaguchi de mucha profundidad a las escenas cumbre de cada relato: son de aquellas historias que permanecen contigo durante un tiempo; creo que invitan más a la reflexión que a la abstracción.

FULL REVIEW:
A compelling and disturbing collection of short manga stories. Really interesting look at the possibilities of manga shorts and where manga may be headed re: philosophizing and messaging in comics. I really appreciated how subtle the realistic fiction stories were in particular; they reminded me of American literary fiction and I'd definitely be open to reading more in this story.
Nude Model
A male student is challenged to sleep with a plain, off-putting girl who allows him around her only when he's nude modeling for her. Who's using whom, and for what? I like the questions this raises about 'sexual attraction'; what does it mean to value someone's body? Why does the specter of sexuality raise our disgust any more than any other utilitarian desire for the naked form? I think this story cheapens itself a bit by making this more or less explicit right at the end, but otherwise great. I was immediately hooked by the art style: it's simple and clearly uninterested in appealing to what's traditionally seen as attractive in manga, even as it's incredibly skillful and detailed even to the untrained eye. A lot of the experience is left to the reader, which I'm a big fan of.
Woman
This one is controversial, so I'll skip to the controversial bit: violent sexual assault is shown on page, a character is openly misogynist and victim-blaming, and high schoolers talk about how one or another of their peers is hot or has big tits. Fortunately, I fail to see a reason any of these are inappropriate, unnecessary, or ill-advised to include in an adult manga with a naked person on the cover. I honestly don't even feel as though this story includes much that should surprise readers of the previous one-- there, too, we met a protagonist who was a misogynist and didn't understand anything about consent. There are even similar themes in the subjugation of misogynist boys through their sexualization (and whoah... what are the implications of THAT?!!?!!?) I think the last line is easy to misinterpret, but it's incredibly affecting after the events of the rest of the story. I had feelings.
Kamiya (lit. God Shop)
Okay. Look. Not everything with a woman and a vampire, even a woman-shaped vampire, is inspired by Carmilla. I said it. I understand that Carmilla is the first major female vamp, and the first relatively explicit lesbivamp, and so on and so forth, but that's no reason to assume every time something vaguely homotinged happens to a thrall it's because the author read Carmilla. I just find that weird and unwarranted. Me when I've read one book kind of behavior. This is something people seem to be taking for granted and... maybe? Like, maybe it's inspired by Carmilla? But that's like saying that a vampire story is "inspired by Dracula" because there's a male vampire. That does not any particular tie to the specific story of Dracula make. There's no isolation, disgust/desire contrast, youth, commentary on femininity... it's just a vampire/human story where one character is a woman and the other briefly takes on woman-like forms at times.
With that said none of the above has been any kind of commentary on the story I just had to get it off my chest because it's kind of my thing. I think here the strength in this one is honestly not in the plot, which is a pretty straightforward corruption narrative matching a host club addiction story with a vampire story, but the individual vampscenes-- Yamaguchi is an exceptional talent with framing, posing, and the littlest details of a bite. That first bite in particular really got me!! I mean, wow.
And I like that the vamp is consistently referred to as male by the MC, but takes different forms; it felt organic and I honestly preferred the romance that way to one that was just straight-up two women (because I'm a misogynist, most likely). It felt not only weirder but also more relevant for the way Tanaka (the MC) fantasizes her vamp into someone he isn't remotely-- for example, a binary cisgender man. Also, fans of certain vampire hot take tropes will love a specific scene near the end. Ending itself wasn't the strongest, and I won't pretend there were any major intellectual themes that spoke to me, but I don't think you expect me to because I'm talking about a gender-bending vampire sex story.
Overall: cool! Glad I read it! Recommend to people who want to read the manga equivalent of weird ambiguous litfic.

A compelling and disturbing collection of short manga stories. Really interesting look at the possibilities of manga shorts and where manga may be headed re: philosophizing and messaging in comics. I really appreciated how subtle the realistic fiction stories were in particular; they reminded me of American literary fiction and I'd definitely be open to reading more in this story.
Nude Model
A male student is challenged to sleep with a plain, off-putting girl who allows him around her only when he's nude modeling for her. Who's using whom, and for what? I like the questions this raises about 'sexual attraction'; what does it mean to value someone's body? Why does the specter of sexuality raise our disgust any more than any other utilitarian desire for the naked form? I think this story cheapens itself a bit by making this more or less explicit right at the end, but otherwise great. I was immediately hooked by the art style: it's simple and clearly uninterested in appealing to what's traditionally seen as attractive in manga, even as it's incredibly skillful and detailed even to the untrained eye. A lot of the experience is left to the reader, which I'm a big fan of.
Woman
This one is controversial, so I'll skip to the controversial bit: violent sexual assault is shown on page, a character is openly misogynist and victim-blaming, and high schoolers talk about how one or another of their peers is hot or has big tits. Fortunately, I fail to see a reason any of these are inappropriate, unnecessary, or ill-advised to include in an adult manga with a naked person on the cover. I honestly don't even feel as though this story includes much that should surprise readers of the previous one-- there, too, we met a protagonist who was a misogynist and didn't understand anything about consent. There are even similar themes in the subjugation of misogynist boys through their sexualization (and whoah... what are the implications of THAT?!!?!!?) I think the last line is easy to misinterpret, but it's incredibly affecting after the events of the rest of the story. I had feelings.
Kamiya (lit. God Shop)
Okay. Look. Not everything with a woman and a vampire, even a woman-shaped vampire, is inspired by Carmilla. I said it. I understand that Carmilla is the first major female vamp, and the first relatively explicit lesbivamp, and so on and so forth, but that's no reason to assume every time something vaguely homotinged happens to a thrall it's because the author read Carmilla. I just find that weird and unwarranted. Me when I've read one book kind of behavior. This is something people seem to be taking for granted and... maybe? Like, maybe it's inspired by Carmilla? But that's like saying that a vampire story is "inspired by Dracula" because there's a male vampire. That does not any particular tie to the specific story of Dracula make. There's no isolation, disgust/desire contrast, youth, commentary on femininity... it's just a vampire/human story where one character is a woman and the other briefly takes on woman-like forms at times.
With that said none of the above has been any kind of commentary on the story I just had to get it off my chest because it's kind of my thing. I think here the strength in this one is honestly not in the plot, which is a pretty straightforward corruption narrative matching a host club addiction story with a vampire story, but the individual vampscenes-- Yamaguchi is an exceptional talent with framing, posing, and the littlest details of a bite. That first bite in particular really got me!! I mean, wow.
And I like that the vamp is consistently referred to as male by the MC, but takes different forms; it felt organic and I honestly preferred the romance that way to one that was just straight-up two women (because I'm a misogynist, most likely). It felt not only weirder but also more relevant for the way Tanaka (the MC) fantasizes her vamp into someone he isn't remotely-- for example, a binary cisgender man. Also, fans of certain vampire hot take tropes will love a specific scene near the end. Ending itself wasn't the strongest, and I won't pretend there were any major intellectual themes that spoke to me, but I don't think you expect me to because I'm talking about a gender-bending vampire sex story.
Overall: cool! Glad I read it! Recommend to people who want to read the manga equivalent of weird ambiguous litfic.

Je ne suis pas une grande adepte des recueil de nouvelles, je suis souvent déçue par ce genre d’ouvrage mais ça ne m’empêche pas de continuer d’en lire. Celui ci j’avais vraiment envie de le découvrir puisque la mangaka est celle de Blue Period, et étant fan de ce manga j’avais envie de découvrir autre chose de la mangaka. Bon sans surprises, ça ne l’a pas vraiment fait avec moi. Je n’ai pas détesté non plus mais ça ne m’a pas transcendé plus que ça quoi. Mais c’était quand même un recueil sympa à lire avec des histoires plus sombres que ce à quoi la mangaka nous a habitué.
Dans ce recueil, on va donc retrouver plusieurs histoires courtes. Une jeune fille passionnée de dessin et marginalisée par sa classe va croiser la route d’un garçon qui doit réussir à coucher avec elle à la suite d’un pari perdu. Dans Une fille, un lycéen fait semblant d’être une fille par soif de reconnaissance et se retrouve mêlé à une sale affaire. Kamiya, un bar où les hôtes sont soi-disant des vampires, ouvre ses portes à une jeune médecin qui manque de confiance en elle…
La première histoire est dans le même univers que Blue Period. En effet, on retrouve une jeune fille qui est passionnée de dessin. Cette histoire ne m’a pas déplu. Mais le problème avec ce genre de recueil et bien c’est que les histoires sont beaucoup trop courtes. Ici on a une jeune fille solitaire qui reste dans son coin et un jeune garçon qui fait parti des caïds du lycée on va dire qui, suite à un pari doit réussir à coucher avec elle. Comme je le dis un peu plus haut, cette histoire ne m’a pas déplu, ce n’est pas ma préférée non plus. C’était plutôt sympa de voir le personnage du mec changer comme ça au contact de la jeune fille.
La seconde histoire est la plus sombre pour moi. Les sujets abordés dans cette histoire courte sont des sujets difficiles et surtout des sujets grave. On va suivre un jeune lycéen qui adore se masturber mais si il n’entend pas une voix de fille ça ne lui va pas. Il va alors s’enregistrer prenant une voix féminine. Très vite ce son fait le tour du lycée. On se rend compte qu’il prend du plaisir à faire semblant d’être une fille (oui dit comme ça c’est assez étrange finalement.) Sauf que très vite les choses vont être bizarres pour lui. Il va se retrouver mêlé à une sale histoire.
La dernière histoire je dirais que c’est celle que j’ai le plus apprécié au final. Sûrement parce c’est celle qui est la plus longue dans ce recueil. Ici on parle de vampires, ou hématophages. On suit une jeune médecin qui a la phobie du sang, chose pas très courante . Elle va se retrouvé dans ce bar dont on parle, le Kamiya. Los relatos cortos de Tsubasa Yamaguchi no me han gustado tanto como 'Blue Period', un manga que estoy disfrutando un montón. Bien es cierto que en los relatos cortos no se consigue la misma profundidad que en un manga más largo, pero hay historias cortas de algunos mangakas, como es el caso de Osamu Tezuka o Suehiro Maruo que me parece buenísimas.
Me animé a comprar 'Nude Model' porque llevo ya leídos 10 tomos de 'Blue Period' y me está pareciendo un buen manga con una buena historia. Es curioso, porque se trata de una historia sencilla pero muy humana y adulta, por eso me está gustando tanto.
En los 3 relatos que conforman 'Nude Model', Tsubasa Yamaguchi sube el tono y se centra en historias que reflexionan sobre los fetichismos sexuales, el deseo y el sexo. Temas que no están presentes en absoluto en 'Blue Period', que se centra completamente en un adolescente que encuentra su camino en el mundo del arte.
De las 3 historias, la que da título a la obra me parece la mas correcta y la más humana, pero las otras dos me han parecido superficiales, especialmente la que tiene una temática de vampiros, un tema que no me gusta especialmente.
El dibujo de los 3 relatos es correcto, pero, una vez más, creo que el dibujo en 'Blue Period' es muchísimo mejor, puesto que se explora con diversos estilos y formas de dibujar, meintras que en 'Nude Model' todo es más parecido.
A pesar de la decepción, sí he pasado un rato agradable descubriendo esa otra faceta de Tsubasa Yamaguchi que desconocía, pero creo que, al menos ahora mismo, 'Blue Period' es su gran obra, que tampoco es para todos los paladares.

Lo que hace está historia es mostrarnos a dos alumnos de preparatoria rodeados del morbo y el despertar sexual así como las consecuencias de este.
El último relato dividido en dos partes de título Kamiya, trata sobre una joven médico miedosa a la sangre, es ahí donde conoce a un vampiro seductor, el cual junto con ella viven una curiosa y peculiar relación.
Estos tres relatos en si, están cargados de misticismo, de sexualidad y de morbosidad... Si te atreves a leerlo te toparas con giros interesantes, e historias que te llevarán a conocer tus pasiones prohibidas.

No voy a mentir, ni me fijé en quién era la autora. Vi la sinopsis, me llamó la atención, y lo puse en la lista de lectura. Fue al empezar a leer e identificar el estilo (y las tramas, también, luego lo menciono mejor) que dije UN MOMENTO. Y nada, que se nota. Es muy identificable. Está claro que Murai y Johan beben del mismo estilo. De hecho, el protagonista de la segunda historia es bastante parecido físicamente a Yotasuke y la protagonista me recuerda a otro personaje de Blue Period que no consigo ubicar todavía, en la forma de representarla con los planos en contrapicado. También las tramas: el pintar un modelo desnudo o la de los clubes con chicos de compañía para sacar el dinero (la metáfora nada sutil xD) son temas que ha tratado luego mejor y con más extensión en Blue Period (y, de hecho, al leer este tomo te quedas con ganas de que lo haga).
En fin, con el primer relato me esperaba algo más sórdido (y eso que casi lo consigue con ese panel que desinfla de un pinchazo brutal al decir "quédate así diez minutos) y con el segundo tuve una sensación similar de que no se atrevía a cruzar determinadas líneas... y creo que esa es su virtud. Consigue personajes muy imperfectos, grises, que acaban teniendo un desarrollo hacia el "bien" en las escasas páginas de cada capítulo. El tercero, quizá, me dejó un poco frío porque tras una premisa bestial, se desdibuja un tanto al tener que correr para meterlo todo y clavar ese final a tiempo, pero también me ha gustado.

Al empezar a leer este tomo, no sabia bien para donde iba a ir la cosa. Labprimera historia la habia leído hace tiempo y me habia gustado, pero no me había dejado una idea clara de lo que iba a tratar el resto. Quuzas porque me concentré en el detalle equivocado de la obra. Si hay algo que tienen en común estas historias es que son todas muy sexuales, aún sin contar con ninguna escena de sexo.
Hablando de cada historia en particular:
- Nude Model: la que le da el nombre a la recopilación. La que ya habia leído. Y la que es probablemente la menos sexual de las tres. Es una historia solida. Una propuesta bastante interesante que funciona bastante bien en toda su duración.
-Mujer: empieza bien pero llega un momento que descarrila mal. Además el protagonista tiene actitudes muy chotas, lo que me distraia bastante.
-Kamiya: la mas larga e interesante de las tres. Además de ser la mas inesperada. Una historia de vampiros después de dos escolares basicamente, fue bastante inesperado. Me gustó bastante como se fue desarrollando la historia. El final me pareció un poco abrupto, pero no se me ocurre como podría haber terminado sino.
La verdad que es uno de los tomos mas raros y sexuales que leí en mi vida. Y la verdad que disfruté bastante las propuestas iniciales de las tres historias.

Livre choisi au hasard parce que j'aime bien les histoires courtes et que le dessin m'a semblé sympa. Il est en effet superbement élégant et très fin, les expressions des visages et les formes des corps sont particulièrement belles.
Quant aux histoires, je suis moins convaincue.
Dans les deux premières, on se prend en pleine face la cruauté des lycéens japonais, l'autrice nous dépeint une jeunesse particulièrement pessimiste, où les garçons sont juste... de vrais porcs, obsédés sexuels et misogynes. J'ai trouvé ça assez amer, surtout dans "Une fille", ce côté fataliste et cette violence omniprésente, mêlée à une sensualité qui sert mal le propos : si le but est de dénoncer la misogynie et l'objectification sexuelle, pourquoi rendre les personnages si hot ?
Mon histoire préférée est néanmoins la première, qui donne son titre au recueil. Le fait que le male gaze initial passe dans le camp d'une femme est habile, son traitement intelligent, et j'ai adoré le design de ce personnage. La sensualité dans cette histoire est également belle et touchante.
La troisième histoire est un récit de vampire façon urban fantasy, pas déplaisant mais immédiatement oubliable.

The first story was interesting and short, I don't feel like I have much to say about it.
The second one made me uncomfortable, but I feel like that was exactly the author's goal. A guy who thinks he knows everything, objectifies women, is incredibly misogynistic, despite being just an underage student, until he's in the victim's shoes.
I completely understand those who didn't like the first stories. They're uncomfortable, but I feel like that's exactly how men's minds work. They objectify women and have little regard for them, from a young age. It's realistic, so it's hard to enjoy reading something like that.
The third one was my favorite, maybe because it was the longest. I found the concept interesting and the characters too, I wouldn't mind seeing a longer story about them. If I had to recommend something to someone, I think I would recommend only reading this story.

Definitely liked it but not for everyone. As always Yamaguchi's art is the best and there were so many panels I wish I could frame. There's a total of three stories, all pretty short which makes sense for an anthology but they were all handled well. I loved all of them but the themes are pretty mature.
The last two but especially the second are dark and frankly morbid but they're explored very well and the dark subject matter is handled with respect. The title is nude model so you do come in expecting a mature subject but the title only relates to the first story so just be prepared for the tone to get darker than expected. This is mostly just a warning to fans coming in blind from blue period to please research before you buy it. There's definitely a running theme of sexuality I'm not articulate enough to fully explain but if that interests you like it does me I'd recommend it. On the other hand if that sort of thing makes you uncomfortable it's probably not the read for you.
