"A lusty high-seas adventure with breathtaking action. . .and a passionate romance. A definite keeper." --Romance Junkies on Rogue
Not sexy enough to justify the miscommunication trope, which I loathe, and the plot just got more and more contrived. They should have stayed on that damn boat.
I thought this book was interesting, I don't read alot of books set in the early Americas, don't know why, but this one was fun. A man who acts like a pirate with bloodthirsty rumors but is actually an honorable man. A woman who fought to protect herself and is on the run makes more friends than she's had in years, kidnapped by the so called pirate, falls in love with him. Trust is the main issue in this book and it is a good one, it keeps you on your toes. Although, unfortunately, is fairly predictable as well it doesn't make it less enjoyable.
