Honestly, I don't think the short length of each volume does this work any favors; the action feels stilted, the characters feel a bit under-baked, and the dialogue is only OK. It's still way better than some of the other "ComiXology Originals" I've read through (lol).

Also, it ends on a cliffhanger. I didn't really expect things to wrap up cleanly in 5 volumes, but I'm ever-so-mildly disappointed they didn't.
