Would caution anybody who has some background knowledge and either Cortes and the Aztecs before reading. Just as it would be redundant. Appreciate books like these doing their best to paint pictures of what was, considering so much was destroyed in such a relatively quick timeframe. Paints Montezuma and Cortes in a more human light and not these larger than life characters I held them to be.
If you have not read something on this encounter before would highly recommend, book is a quick read and kept me engaged. If you have read something on the Aztecs before you would probably be better off on a more in depth book.
