In "Candy Coloured Dreams", Ralph McAllister, a middle-aged child psychiatrist, falls in love with his eleven-year-old patient Sandy. He decides to kidnap her and take her to his family holiday cottage and keep her for himself. The thorn in RalphÕs side is Jack Harrison, a detective who has devoted the last decade of his life hunting him down. Ralph has a string of juvenile murders under his belt, but Jack has not been able to catch him yet and is determined to put him behind bars. Ralph is well aware of the pursuing lawmen and decides he needs to set up a unit that can pass as a family on vacation. He meets up with Sheryl, a prostitute, who he pays to accompany him with her daughter for a week or so. Sheryl covets the dollars Ralph waves in front of her eyes and takes the bait. Hence Ralph and the unsuspecting makeshift family go off on a road trip to hell.
