Lovely and touching story with beautiful illustrations! This is a book I'd never heard of, even though I love Barbara Cooney's art. I'm so glad that one of the members of the vintage children's book club on Facebook shared this book with us. It was a really a joy to read. Emma is quietly inspiring, comforting and just wonderful to look at. Highly recommended!
